Love this place!! Staff is super friendly and helpful. I live around the corner from here and 90% of the time I find what I need at a fraction of the cost. Great place to start for any project. I was looking at a selection of casters. I asked an employee how much for one as there was no price. She said I had to go to the register. I walked to the register and got the price. I returned to the isle I was in less than a minute ago. The lady who told me to go to the register had put up floor signs blocking the entire isle and was mopping right where I needed to be. She looked up and did not seem to care. I handed the caster to another employee and explained I could not get where I needed to be. I walked out. So disappointed. The owners are ok. Impossible to walk into this place and not walk out with a slough of bargains.it is the BEST place to score spray paint, priced at least 50-75% less than even Walmart. A large and diverse inventory of not just paint but tools, especially for micro size projects. And other items for the home, industry or avocation. read more

Came to this place just to walk around after one of my coworkers mentioned she had got some medical scissors here. I don't know what I was expecting but it was definitely a treat to come browsing! The majority of things they sell here are cheaper end items - much like what you could find on Amazon but with cheaper prices and instant gratification! They have a HUGE assortment of gloves made of leather, cloth, nitrile, cloth dipped in rubber, you name it they probably have it. There is a sizable medical instrument section that carries scissors, forceps, hemostats and the like. They are far from surgical grade, but by picking and choosing, you will likely get something that will last for a little bit. Plus - the prices can't be beat. I bought three pairs of scissors for five bucks! They have a large assortment of knives and other fun things as well. It took a lot of will power to leave with only the scissors rather than spending money I don't have on a bunch of other cool but unnecessary purchases. read more

This is basically a close-out store for house, garden, garage related stuff. They have the best and largest selection of tools meant for working on tiny items like small picks & probes. They also have a large selection of abrasives, tarps, gloves, and hand tools. Prices are typically reasonable for the most part. read more

I just found this place a couple months ago and have now been there several times. This palce is great for hand tools, camping, gold prospecting, gloves, spray paints, safety gear, precision tools. No power tools that I can remember, but a huge selection- maybe 12-15 different sizes and shapes of hemostats or tweezers for example. Not like that H.F. place. Most of the stuff is not top-of-the-line, but it's not the bottom of the line either. Everything is well organized and easy to find. If you've been to the Roseville auction and marketplace, you're probably familiar with the vendors that offer an array of large and small tools, parts and pieces, gloves, tarps, and such. A guys hardware and tool haven. Bargain Smart is an indoor version of one of these outdoor vendors. Bargain priced import tools and supplies. A short list includes hoses, tarps and drop cloths, rain gear, tools, implements, tape, knives, gear, and what appears to be 100+ types of working gloves. A great place when in a pinch for something and it doesn't need to be top of the line or brand. It's never busy (not when I've been in on weekends) and the guy (owner) is friendly and helpful. read more

Been a customer for years, but the young cashier today was not wearing a mask and I have to stand two feet from them to check out - with no barrier. When I asked, the employee said they were not required to wear masks at the store (though a couple other employees in the back were wearing them). They've lost a customer. read more

The tool dude from Denios, has opened a knicknack shop selling all sorts of hardware and home improvement items, including those hemostats (a.k.a. roach clips) for really cheap prices. What's really great, is that the same prices you'll find as his Denio's booth, except you don't have to pay $3 to park your car. I found some genuine bargains in this joint, including some ballpoint pens (12 for $1), a heavy duty can crusher ($5), and some Terro ant baits ($1). What is guaranteed, you will NOT leave this store empty handed. I'm going to have to check in on a regular basis, because they get new merchandise daily! read more

This store is great! It's got a great amount of things to purchase for the home or shop! The prices are really low for the type of things that are in there. Now this store is a lot like harbor freight tools (another great store) with a lot of the same type of things in there but this store has a great variety of, lets call it accessories for your tools. Bargain Smart is my new toy store, I have long ago bought 2 of everything I might need from Harbor freight, however their ads have become deceptive posting 2 prices in the same catalogue, 1 the sale price and the other the regular price, seems they hope some customers forget the sale price or miss it all together, it's annoying and has been ongoing. Many items they used to have are no longer sold and their stock has become smaller, Bargain Smart is like Harbor Freight used to be in the old days, I can spend hours there looking and buying, it is a treasure hunt! read more

I love this store and always stop there first when I am looking for various tools, or odds and ends in hardware. You never know what you are going to find and the prices are great. For example, a few years ago they had bokun (wood) practice swords. What a great gift for beginning martial artists. Another time, camouflage tarps (a homemade "hut" for young grandson). Just moving to the Citrus Heights area, it's important to me to do business with locally owned companies. I had been in here while marketing for my own business. Bob was very nice and let me know the best time to reach the owner. While there, I checked out the merchandise and was pleased to see they had a variety of items. I thought "Hallelujah! I can come Christmas shopping here for my boyfriend!" That opinion changed when I called and politely asked to speak to Rodney. The lady with a heavy accent asked my name, purpose of the call and company. I told her my name, I wanted to set a meeting and the company. She responded, "No, thank you. We're not interested. He doesn't take these calls." She didn't even allow me to speak, she just hung up on me. If that is how a potential customer is treated, I will take my business elsewhere. read more

Great service Great item Great price I was looking for some items that home deport was selling for a high price that I wanted to so I stop by this place one day to see if they have the items. So they had it. From that day I always drive from Elk Grove to Roseville to see if they have the items I am looking for. I called them around 530 pm when I got stuck in traffic and asked them if they could want for me for 5 minute because their was too much traffic. They always help any customer. Always ask if you can't find an item because they will find it for you. I have great experience with all the employees in both location. Keep up the great job!!! read more
