    Brunch time!
    Krista Z.

Note - tried to book a Sunday brunch event here (celebrating an upcoming wedding) - while we do like the venue - they cannot accommodate parties above 10 for brunch without separating you up and cannot even try to put you in the same room at least. Guess we need to look elsewhere now ..

The Grand Concourse is still beautiful and has a good view (even when rainy). The service is okay. Not quite as good as I remember, but friendly if not super on top of things (took forever to get a drink refill and the check/check picked up/etc.). With exception of them mixing up steaks and giving one who wanted medium the medium rare and vice versa and the shrimp being bland and overcooked, the food was delicious. It had been a long time since we went there and it's nice to see it's still beautiful.

The Grand Concourse is an old train station and it was beautifully decorated for the holidays. We had a private event in one of the side rooms with a set menu. The food itself was a mixed bag. The butternut squash soup looked unappetizing but tasted okay. The Caesar salad was decent. Their bread came out piping hot and was incredible. All our entrees were pretty good. I had to leave early and informed our server and ask for dessert to go. I had to remind our server 10 minutes after my departure time. It was so funny to me that instead of telling me they couldn't give me my crème brûlée to go or giving me an alternate dessert they just tossed it haphazardly in a small white styrofoam container. It's so weird to me when a purportedly nicer restaurant just has terrible low quality styrofoam takeout containers.

My partner and I came here for our anniversary dinner and had such a fantastic time. The restaurant was absolutely beautiful and we were seated in the back room with a view of the river. Our server, Neil, was incredibly attentive, kind, and quite informative as he provided many interesting facts about the restaurant and surrounding area. He gave an excellent recommendation of their prime rib, which was phenomenal. My partner and I had such a lovely dinner there, and I would highly recommend the Grand Concourse!

Grand Concourse Restaurant in Pittsburgh, PA has got to be one of the most beautiful restaurants in America. The restaurant was previously a railroad station built in 1901. The inside of the building has original Victorian and Edwardian style architecture and design. In 1974, this beautiful building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The first time we tried this restaurant was 15 years ago for their AMAZING Sunday brunch which I highly recommend. Today we had a fantastic early dinner and recommend the following: *New York Strip steak with mashed potatoes and asparagus. *Surf and Turf with Lobster, mashed potatoes and asparagus. We added shrimp scampi. Our complementary bread with salmon pâté was delicious. For dessert we had the banana creme brûlée and key lime pie. Everything was outstanding 5/5 stars!! We had excellent service with very friendly and attentive staff. There's indoor and outdoor seating with beautiful views of the city of Pittsburgh and Monongahela River. You can see the Steelers Stadium from a distance. We recommend trying this restaurant when in the area. Heard it's very popular for weddings and graduation parties. Check it out! Happy Yelping :)

Its very overpriced for what you get but the atmosphere and views are 5 stars! Service was average at best, it felt rushed for what I was expecting from a place like this. I took my niece here for her 18th bday and while she enjoyed her 1st fancy dinner I was underwhelmed for what I was expecting for her experience. No one asked if we were celebrating anything like all other places do at this type of escalated dining establishment. I was hoping it would have added to her experience. Added some pics for your viewing pleasure!

Pricey but worth it. Definitely try the mango margarita. Every waiter and the manager- all are kind and courteous

I decided to try this place again for Christmas. I really shouldn't have. It took 45 minutes past our reservation to get seated and then another 15 to flag someone down for a drink order. When we finally got the buffet, everything was old and crusty. What wasn't old and crusty, they were out of completely. They silently raised buffet prices and didn't alert anyone. This is honestly the worst dining experience that we have ever had. It makes it worse that it was on Christmas. I will not be giving this business another chance. The Wynn buffet is actually cheaper than this buffet, so it is insane to think about for this quality of "food" and horrible service. The place was also dirty and had toilet paper on the floor where the chocolate fountain used to be. Oh yes, they removed the chocolate fountain but still raised prices. The manager was nice and tried to help as much as he was able to.

First time at the Grand Concourse. Stopped in for Sunday brunch. Service was great, (Jennifer was amazing!) and the food was even better. I really enjoyed the biscuits and gravy, prime rib, and the fresh waffles topped with banana fosters. The cinnamon rolls were one of my favorites as well. Plenty of different food items to choose from. Something for everyone. Nice spot, can't wait to come back.

An early birthday lunch with my girlfriend, my brother and his wife. My sister in law has been here many times before and suggested we come here for birthday lunch and she was not wrong. Service was outstanding, attentive, and they made Me a little something extra for birthday. The smoked Manhattan is made table side is a very nice touch. The meal was delicious, perfect ending to my birthday weekend.

Great experiment for brunch around Christmas time! Food was fresh and stations a very clean. Plenty of options, and well stocked with busy it was. Will be back again for the holidays next year!

We came to the Grand Concourse as a Holiday gathering with my entire family. There were 15 of us total. We did the Sunday buffet. The food was really good for a buffet and it was cool that it was spread out around the entirety of the restaurant. The following stations could be found Sushi Waffle Pasta Carving Seafood Breakfast And several other choice offerings The atmosphere is amazing and is a centerpiece of Station Square. The theme is an old time train station. I think it was very beautifully decorated for Christmas.

Brought a group of 12 in for a work dinner, which everyone enjoyed and several locals commented that they would be back. The space is absolutely beautiful. The butternut squash soup was delicious - I wish I'd ordered a bowl instead of a cup. I had the jumbo shrimp scampi, which was also fantastic. The shrimp tasted so fresh and there was way more food than I could eat. Service was good, but with a group you need to devote a bit of time to your meal.

    What is the dress code?

I would dress smart casual but I have seen people wearing sweatpants during brunch. Don't be like them lol.

What is the cancellation policy for credit card holds for Easter Sunday brunch?

For any cancellation less than 24 hours in advance for a holiday, it is a $25 fee.

If you go during Sunday brunch, do you have to order the buffet or can you order off the menu?

Only the buffet is available during this time.

    Are kids welcome?

    Yes - bring the family

Is there a suggested attire/dress code?

Depends on when you go! Sunday brunch, I see everything from Steelers gear to dresses + heels. Dinner service I would say business casual to fancy and if in the Gandy Dancer Saloon, anything!

    Will they offer Thanksgiving delivery?

When we walked in, the host greeted us right away, asked for our name, and seated us pretty quickly. There were actually a good amount of open seats, so I am not sure reservations were completely necessary, but it was still nice to have one. I honestly expected the inside to feel more extravagant and space themed, almost like an outer space vibe with more visual elements and atmosphere. I was hoping for something more immersive and futuristic. It was still cool overall, just not quite as visually dramatic as I imagined. We ordered an espresso martini and the Kiwi Nova. I really enjoyed my drink, especially after talking with the host who explained that they use scientific processes for their cocktails along with fresh purées and fresh ingredients. That is something I really appreciate because I am not a fan of drinks made with a lot of simple syrup or fake additives. He loved his espresso martini and said it was one of the best he has had. My drink was definitely on the sweeter side and I feel like too much of it might lead to a hangover, but it was still really good. Our server was attentive at first, but later on we ended up waiting a while to order another round. After sitting for a bit, we decided to order through the hostess instead and she got us taken care of right away. Overall, it was a cool experience mainly for the drinks. The cocktails were definitely the highlight. Service was okay, and I am not sure if we will return, but I am glad we finally got to check it out.

I've heard so many mixed things that I have to say I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed every aspect of my experience. It kind of has dive bar vibes but the food and drink options are definitely on the elevated side. They open at 4 on Sundays and I got there around 4:15. It was already pretty busy (and by the time I was leaving, every single table and bar stool were occupied). They have standard booth seats along the windows, hightop tables in the middle and bar seating along the bar that curves along the back of the restaurant. I chose to sit at the bar since I was by myself. I was promptly greeted by the bartender. They don't hand you copies of the menu, you have to scan the QR code to access. It is easy to read and follow with sections for drinks, specials (this time they were Wicked themed as a nod to the show at the Benedum) and a sushi section. I ordered the street corn dip. The chips were a bit overcooked and the dip was just OK. I thought it was pricey for what you got. The star of my meal, though, was the patty melt. It had the burger, a bacon jam, caramelized onions and was absolutely delicious! It was served with fries. I considered ordering sushi but wasn't sure what to expect. The patrons sitting on either side of my ordered rolls and they were a nice size and looked delicious, so that is something I would consider ordering in the future. It was a place I'll likely be back to because of the proximity to the theater (although their prices definitely reflect that). Just note how crowded it always is and give yourself plenty of time if you plan on heading here for dinner before the show.

Cocktail menu is deceiving as they didn't have all of the ones listed but they added a few extra that our server was kind enough to bring to our attention. I ordered a daiquiri that was not listed and it was so good. More like thick juice than a cocktail. Didn't even taste like it had alcohol in it.
