Went in on the evening of 11/8. Waited to be seated, basically told to take any seat. Three separate parties behind us, basically told the same thing. I called earlier that day to confirm they were still serving my favorite craft cocktail, About Last Thyme, and was told yes. As the first one of the 4 parties that took a seat, we thought we'd have a server to our table first. Nope. We waited and realized this was not going to be a good time. It was my birthday. Fun, funky little spot in downtown Denton. Stopped in on our way from the Dallas area to Winstar for a concert. While getting there and parking is a bit of a mess due to a lot of road construction in the area, once we got there, we grabbed seats at the bar. Both of us got pastas...my friend got the one with the lemon cream sauce and I did a build-your-own: spinach noodles with chipotle cream sauce, chicken and sun-dried tomatoes - YUM! Super cute and vibey restaurant with yummy food! They don't take reservations, so make sure you come with time during peak dinner hours usually 7-8pm. Had the Italian mule to drink and that was the highlight of the meal! It was so tasty and a nice twist to the regular mule. The baked ziti was incredible as well! In a skillet so it was straight out of the oven. My only complaint is that service was slow. We waited about 15 minutes after sitting down before we were given water. The best place I've been to in Denton so far! Everything from the food to the drinks and the service were amazing! The atmosphere is chill and calm. I'm not sure if the man who took care of us was staff or the owner. He had the best personality. Laughed and joked. Recommended our dishes and was 100% spot on with what we wanted to eat and drink. This was my 2nd time here. They are a little expensive, food takes a long time to prep - but the menu is interesting and food was great last time. Today I went with my family after a long movie (starving) and ordered 3 meals. My daughter found a blond hair in her pizza. We attempted to give the benefit of the doubt - in case it was from a olive oil brush or something - removed hair and set that slice aside with intent to eat the rest. Then, my wife found a curly black hair in her pasta (seemingly from a beard). At that point we told the waiter we would not be eating our meals and why,and left without paying. At the very least, he was apologetic and didn't argue with us. This was a terrible experience, and disgusting. Worst part... We are all still hungry. Buyer beware. read more

Cannot say enough good things about this restaurant. Had a small celebratory dinner this past weekend and when I contacted them they immediately responded and made sure we had a reservation. They are renovating their downstairs area for larger parties and let us use it... the service was stellar, for a larger party the wait times were very minimal. Had an amazing dinner and experience! Jameson took great care of us at the bar. Her drink and food recommendations were spot on! We started with the meatballs. Suffice to say, if you get nothing else here, get the meatballs. Full of flavor with actual meat not filler. We then had build your own pasta meals. If it weren't frowned upon to lick your plate in public...yeah, they were that good. Finished off the meal with the cheesecake. Spec-freakin-tacular!! Horrible Customer Service... We came once before about a month ago and had a great experience. Somehow, today was opposite day! We waited for about 15 minutes at a table with not a glance from anyone - just a laughter fest and party behind the bar. We continued to wait... nothing...thinking that we may need to now go to the bar to order, we tried that. NOPE! They looked at us, looked away, and kept talking to the chosen ones at the bar. We waited some more... perhaps we had become invisible? No, sadly we were still visible just not getting service. We then decided to leave and they didn't even give us a glance as we left. So weird.
