The food was so good! Locally owned and operated business. We were a little concerned when we got there at 5p. No cars in the parking lot but it did get busier and it looks like many locals use it for take out. I ordered the tortellini bolognese and added meatballs. It was so good! Nice portion size, had leftovers. My dad ordered the lasagna. It was just right and he said it was fantastic! They do not serve alcohol but you can bring it inside (BYOB) Side salad was 'meh looking but the salad dressing was very tasty. Note I am referring to their side salad not the menu meal salads. Been looking for a great local Italian restaurant and we found one, Roma's Italian Restaurant. This family owned restaurant knows their food and provides a cute, clean atmosphere with friendly service. I had the Veal Marsala and my husband had the Chicken Marsala...we devoured it all. It's BYOB so we were able to buy a bottle for the amount we would have spent on just two glasses. They provided the wine glasses and even opened our bottle with a smile. The rolls were fresh and warm and the salad was chilled and refreshing. We will definitely be back soon! read more

When one walks into a business, when they've just opened for their evening hours, and the employee is cleaning dirty dishes off the tables from the day before....one has to wonder how clean the kitchen is for pizza preparation. The ingredients for the pizza/veggies in particular, weren't fresh. The cheese was obviously Walmart brand and the crust was undercooked. I wouldn't go here to sit down and eat, either. read more

We eat here a lot, or should I say we order from here with their scicilian pizza. You have to order early in the weekend to get it, but when you do, it's so good. All of their food is delicious, and we truly love the place. The restaurant seating area is limited but still nice size for how big our community population is in 2024. I order a LOT from Roma's because they deliver. I will NOT be ordering from there again. The price list I had was old but NO ONE told me that they had gone up in price exponentially since my last order and NO new menus to show or explain the price increase with the last few orders. They have raised their prices 30% across the board and added a $3.00 fee for delivery. I ALWAYS tip the driver 5 bucks and MORE but NO MORE! Supposed to be 45 minutes and it was actually 1 hour and 15 minutes by the time she arrived. The spaghetti and the pizza was cold. Sad they are going down hill with the rest of the restaurants and do nothing but make excuses... GREAT food but ridiculous excuses... Good luck to them, I am DONE! read more

Stopped in on the way to the Star. We wanted a meatless meal. Cute little place, very clean. Was welcomed as soon as we walked in. I ordered fettuccine Alfredo and hubby ordered cheese pizza. Waited about 10 minutes and our food came out piping hot The fettuccine was creamy and pasta was cooked perfectly. As I mentioned it stayed hot through our entire meal time. The pizza was presentation perfect. The perfect amount of cheese and the sauce is very tasty. Would I come back. Oh most definitely, would like to try other pasta dishes. Great local family-owned business. Pizza is amazing, and the prices can not be beat. The service is quick. Staff is consistent and friendly. We love the all meat pizza and the alfredo pizza with chicken added...thin crust, of course! The calamari is fantastic....better than some chain restaurants! Love the cheese sticks and tiramisu, too. The reason I don't give it 5 stars....the ceaser salad isn't a true ceaser salad. It's just a regular garden salad with ceaser dressing. The spaghetti leaves a lot to be desired as well. If you're living anywhere in the DFW and want some hearty, home style Italian food, Romas in Sanger is worth the drive. It's a quaint little establishment right off 35. It's easy to miss if your not looking for it but their food is unforgettable once you have had a taste. I went to Romas Friday night with a bunch of my coworkers. I was told by the staff there that the pizza is top notch so I decided to give it a try. I ordered the med veggie pizza with Alfredo. I was unprepared for the deliciousness this pizza had to offer. It clicked as to why this little place delivered in Sanger. And yes they only deliver in Sanger. I quickly found myself envious of the people of Sanger. I was curious to see all the other plates my coworkers ordered, and let me say, each plate was enticing. From fried mushrooms and calamari to their classic spaghetti & meatballs. My eyes were stunned. But dare I ask a sample of each plate in this post Covid world. I could only imagine at that moment that my coworkers plates tasted as beautifully as it looked. I decided I would have to come back again and order a different plate each time. The rolls they served with the meals were nothing like I experienced before. Alongside with butter, these rolls were heavy and heavenly. Slightly crusted on the outside and thick, warm & soft when you pull apart. This place was simply & surprisingly stunning. It may not be a fancy, you need to make a reservation type of restaurant, but it is cozy & comforting. It does the job. This place has me questioning my loyalty to Olive garden and Maggianos. Romas feels like you have a privilege to eat homemade Italian food in someones grandmamas little home in the Naples countryside. I plan on coming back in the near future (tomorrow) with my family. Until then I strongly urge anyone reading this to do the same. Your taste buds will thank you. And you, can thank me later. read more

We were staying overnight at the Holiday Inn down the street. I found Roman's using the Around Me app. The restaurant is a four minute drive from the hotel. We shared a Deep Dish pizza. Always a great experience! Best stuffed mushroom I've ever had - be sure to ask if they have them as they don't always. The pink sauce is fantastic, and adds a special touch. Actually we almost drove past Roma's because it is a great hole in the wall. Once inside it was very clean, & service was good. They had really good food, I had combination beef & chicken fajitas, (it was enough for 3 people!) My husband ordered the beef enchiladas they give you four. And to his surprise it was actually steak inside... Wow. Delicious! A very nominal fee for chips and salsa was 2.99 and they were really good. Free margarita for each customer if you want it. To be completely honest, when we pulled into the parking lot, I didn't hold much hope for anything special. The restaurant is part of a larger metal building that looks like where you would get hardware or car parts. We walked in and were immediately acknowledged, the place was clean with no funky smells or red flags. We were given our drinks and rolls immediately and are orders were taken. Our salads came out almost immediately. Just as we were finishing the salads, our main course came out. I had the shrimp fettuccine Alfredo, and my husband had the chicken Parmesan. Came to Roma's with the mister tonight for our first date night in a while. We decided to do something different tonight - no "regulars" for us tonight. We started with the fried calamari - tbh, I'm sort of a calamari snob, I'm very picky about my seafood in general. I will start by saying it looked beautiful and appealing and was a quite nice size serving accompanied with a side of marinara sauce. My first bite was sans marinara and it was lovely. Thick cut rings, not chewy at all. Fresh tasting and the batter was light and not at all saturated in oil. It wasn't gummy or soggy at all. The garlic bread knots were on point, as always. No complaints here. Tonight I decided to try the Chef's special: Lobster Ravioli. I was skeptical but excited cos I love lobster. The lobster ravioli came with a small side salad and a complimentary glass of wine (FOR FREE!) - that is NOT an everyday thing. There were six large raviolis in Alfredo sauce. I had to cut each ravioli in thirds just to eat without making a mess!! My first bite was absolute heaven. It was as if the world around me disintegrated into nothing and it was just me with this creamy lobster-filled bite. It was definitely not made from frozen (and if it was, it did not taste like it), the lobster was so fresh and quite meaty and the ravioli tasted fresh-made as well.
