There were exactly three small strips of chicken that were unremarkable and certainly not a full portion of chicken. I certainly expected to get a serving of chicken for the cost of the salad. I got exactly two mushroom slices and the same minimal amount of each ingredient. I expected a bountiful salad, but got nothing more than a disappointing salad with a lack of the promised vegetables. Vegetables are inexpensive so I can't imagine why this restaurant is so parsimonious in putting some on their big salad. They do have an excellent happy hour with drinks really inexpensive. Also, they have a deal on appetizers during happy hour with those at $5.00. If you want to save some money, have an appetizer as your entree. One of the ladies in our group got the spinach dip with tortilla chips and bread. It looked yummy and she had some leftover to take home. We had a big group the first time I went. We were seated near a door that went to the patio. Every time someone went in and out a huge gust of air came in. They set up our table in the wrong place. Before we were done with dinner my hair looked like I had been in a hurricane. The wait staff is competent and gets our drinks and food out quickly. That is a plus in my book. When we have gone with a group we have made reservations and the reservation was honored without issue. The ambiance is nice, interesting, and lively. The somewhat less good: We like having bloody mary's there with our breakfast. They could get a bit more creative with the bloody mary's and also use a bit of a larger glass especially for the $10.50 price point. Parking is sometimes a challenge as they stay packed but have now addeed extra parking to the back of the restaurant which has definitely helped. We have had one visit where the service was subpar. Otherwise we have always received good and consistent service. The price point is a bit higher than what you would normally see from a cafe or diner for breakfast fare but the quality is well worth the cost. It's been a while... We need to get back there soon!

We weren't behaving poorly or displaying affection or being loud, just having casual conversation. Even if homophobia wasn't the reason we weren't served (somehow), service is extremely poor and the environment is unpleasant. Very strange experience, will not be returning.
