Pepperoni Pizza (Medium)
George H.

Just as good as I remember! We used to eat here a couple of times a week when we lived in Denton but hadn't been back since moving to the far side of Lewisville. Boy have we missed out! There's a reason they've been in business almost 31 years. The stuffed shells were perfectly cooked with a delicious red sauce, the pizza was thin but flavorful, and the rolls are like buttery nuggets of heaven. One customer joked "they treat you like family-after you're done you gotta go wash the dishes!" Nick didn't make us do any dishes...

First, let me say that this place is legit! The employees were kind, the kitchen was spotless but the food was the big win! We had a large pizza and the chicken Parmesan. Both were delish! Don't let the unassuming exterior fool you, this one is worth a try!!!

Total mom and pop place that screams authentic to the a T! Great lunch specials- I had the $6.99 slice and salad.good prices and portions. The owner was on site greeting everyone and telling them about the legacy of the restaurant. I ordered a slice of sausage- it was good but there wasn't quite enough cheese because the sausage kept sliding off on the table-lol. The garlic bread is good- super dense- you'll need a tall glass is water to wash that down- overall, nice place with friendly faces and good slices- I'll go back to try a slice of pepperoni next time!

Father's Day - I am so disappointed in the service…read more We arrived on time. I was asked how many were in our party. I advised her that we had a reservation. She asked reservation - we do not have any reservations. Again, I stated that I have a reservation with a confirmation and reminders. She said you do? I stated yes, let's not go there and please fix it. I showed her the confirmation. They pushed tables together and we were seated. As we seated, she stated she would get us some rolls. We saw a smaller party, seated after us, receive rolls. We were eating, I asked for some rolls. She stated they are cooking some, they did not have any reservations, and did not plan for many people (like Mother's Day). I reminded that WE had a reservation. We finally received the rolls, closer to the end of our meals. During our eating, I asked her for more napkins - she responded - MORE NAPKINS - I put extras on the tables? I stated we used them (adults, children and a toddler) - we needed napkins. No cool. My son and daughter in love - waited long for their pizza (we all had our meals). She finally brought a pizza to the table and advised that the wrong pizza was cooked. (She did say they could eat that pizza (at no charge), since they have been waiting so long. Before the correct pizza arrived, she did ask if they wanted to box it up (we were all packaged up). So they did take it to go. I asked for two cups of sweet tea to go - she said you want two cups to go, I laughed and confirmed, "Yes, I am thirsty" the tea was very good! She then asked if one was for myself and my son (we both ordered tea (refills are included). We were going to get dessert, we decided, after this meal were not going to order any. After all, we didn't want to need more napkins. #1 - No apology for not having us on the reservation. #2 - She mentioned again we did not have any reservations and not prepared (when I asked for rolls). #3 - Why do we need more napkins - she had put extras on the table. #4 - Ask why I need two teas and who were they for? #5 - My daughter-in-law paid cash. She returned her change without removing the charge (which we had to ask what this fee was; she stated it was an automatic cc fee). My DIL said, "Oh, I have cash." Yet, she still charged the fee; she had to return the fee to my daughter in law. I will state that I budgeted a higher tip because we were a large party. I covered my 3 sons (the dads) and myself. However, I gave her 20% (with much regret). I just could not bring myself to reduce it. So disappointed. Food was good but that type of service!! 06.27.2026 - Finally, after sending *unanswered email, calling for owner(was told the owner would be in Friday and Sat. p.m.). Today, Jessica manager calls me back. She doesn't know their email addresses, said the owner controls the reservation. That they didn't have my reservation. Mind you I asked for the owner. She apologized - hoped we come back. Cassandra

It's not particularly close to me, but I drive 30 minutes to eat here regularly, which should tell you everything. Let's set expectations on the ambiance: it's a classic hole in the wall. Nothing special to look at, no atmosphere to speak of. You are not coming here for the vibe. You're coming here for the food, and the food is worth it. They start you with bread knots, and OMG, they're delicious. Ask for the garlic dipping sauce. It's not on the menu, and it will change your life. I normally get the same thing every time, the pasta trio, because it has three of my favorites in one plate: tortellini, lasagna, and chicken parm. I also love the chicken piccata. That lemon sauce is divine. My husband comes here for the clam chowder. I believe they only offer it on certain days, but we always seem to hit it right on a Saturday. And don't forget the tomato basil vinaigrette for the free house salad. It's the small stuff that keeps me coming back. Everything I've had here has been delicious. They've got a great lunch menu too, and the service is phenomenal.

I asked for Italian seasoning--something that's typically included or added upon request at most places. To my surprise, they tacked on an extra 20% just for the seasoning. No heads-up, no explanation. And to top it off, they barely put any on. If you're going to charge extra, at least be generous with it. It felt like a petty upcharge, especially for something so basic. Really disappointing from a place I used to frequent. Not sure I'll be coming back after this. Response to Owner: Thank you for your response and for clarifying the pricing. I understand that the $9.99 pizza was part of your Monday/Tuesday special, but frankly, the explanation came across more as a justification than an acknowledgment of my concerns. The $1.99 charge for Italian seasoning is especially frustrating. Italian seasoning is not a topping -- it's a basic flavor enhancer that most other pizza places include at no extra cost. I reviewed your listed toppings (screenshots attached) and Italian seasoning isn't even mentioned as an option. That makes it feel like the charge was arbitrarily added, and it gives the impression that it was done to squeeze more revenue from customers -- possibly due to business struggles. To be completely transparent, the pizza itself was mediocre, and this experience has left a bad impression. I won't be returning, but I hope you take this feedback seriously and use it to improve transparency and customer trust going forward.

The bartender surprised me with the Espresso Martini (delicious!) and I ordered the Spicy Sausage pasta (yum!). My Espresso Martini was far superior to my friend's Tiramisu Martini. I thought my pasta dish had a balanced amount of pasta and sauce and a superfluous amount of sausage, which I am not complaining about. Unfortunately, I tried my friend's Chicken Parmesan and it was too flat, dry, and the tomato sauce was highly acidic. I guess this place can be a hit or miss, but I enjoyed my picks.

We had no idea it would take an hour and a half for our food to show up. And when it did well, here's how it went. My wife had the chicken piccata and I had the wise guy pizza. My wife enjoyed her plate. Based on the last time I ordered the same pizza a year ago what showed up on the table was a sad echo of something that used to be good. The sauce was very thin and to the point of almost being nonexistent. The meatballs were very stingy as if they were trying to increase their margins by short serving a basic pizza. Overall, it was very dry and lacking of any discernible taste. No doubt because it sat in the kitchen for quite awhile, given the unusual duration that it took for our food to show up. I've had better frozen pizzas from the grocery store. It was a very dry and disappointing for something that used to be overloaded with flavor, sauce and meatball chunks. It was a marked contrast from when we had been here a year ago. What used to be a regular go to has turned into a sad disappointment. I'm putting it down to perhaps they had an off night. But we're not in a hurry to come back anytime soon to see if that was the case.

Then they had a BUNCH of ceiling fans turned on blowing the semi warm air around and it just wasn't a pleasant atmosphere with all the air blowing around and making all the different food smells get mixed up while you're trying to enjoy your dish. But moving on to the most important thing in a restaurant.. the food .. We ordered the FILET OSCAR for $48 which was a 10oz Filet Mignon, Crab Cake, Hollandaise Sauce, Asparagus and Whipped Potatoes. The steak was very overcooked. The asparagus was also overcooked somehow. The crab cake was deep fried and so so so oily and dry at the same time while being drenched in whatever sauce it was covered in. The whipped potatoes were pretty good but at this point the entire dish was so bad that there was nothing to accompany the whipped potatoes. The server was very nice and the food came out fairly fast but unfortunately it just didn't taste good. Has anyone else ever seen a deepfried crabcake at an upscale restaurant? Or I guess any restaurant for that matter? It was just a very distasteful way to present a dish that should have taken more TLC to prepare rather than just to bread and throw in a fryer like that. Sad day for us as this was on our date night list of local places to try out. We did flag down the manager to give him some live feedback. Hopefully he will try to make things a little better for other customers.
