Grace's Place in Napa is absolutely beautiful! The atmosphere is gorgeous, everything was impeccably clean, and the bar was stunning. Our cocktails were delicious, and the food was absolutely amazing. Our waitress, Joanna, was wonderful, so friendly, knowledgeable, and incredibly helpful. She gave us some fantastic winery recommendations, and we ended up visiting a few that we absolutely loved! We had such a wonderful experience from start to finish. I cannot wait to come back to Grace's Place the next time we're in Napa. Highly recommend!
I've heard so much about this place I was game to finally try it: What I liked.. -Great local place. -Lots of seating. -Food was pretty good What could be improved: - Food was a little slow coming out. -Hostess was a little confusing Overall I was pleased with GT. My favorite dish was the shrimp and grits. Highly recommend if you are a fan. My Eggs Benedict was good, but I enjoyed the Cornbread. Our food did take a while but the place wasn't too slammed. And the service was a little bit inconsistent with timing. With so many great options in Napa, I would only come back for the Shrimp and Grits.
The location is in what looks a little town. Very quaint and Charming. Has the antique vintage vibe almost like in older movies. The restaurant itself is darling! Great menu and service. Breakfast, as some would say, is the most important meal of the day. During my weekend in Napa, I wanted something that had a good mixture of protein but also fulfilling, checked via online and came across Grace's Table and decided to check it out. As it's street parking and also limited, we are parked two blocks away and walked to Grace's Table. We were greeted and seated upon arrival. Menus were given to us, and the staff did check in with us. We had ordered family style and shared -- shrimp & grits, grilled chicken sandwich with veggie chips and butter pasta. Portions are big and our breakfast was delicious and fulfilling. The only downside is that we did ask a staff member to add a side of the pancakes and she acknowledged and confirmed but when we checked in on the pancakes, it was never entered into the system. Therefore, after checking with two staff members and they confirmed that they didn't have that order. Aside from that incident, it was a lovely meal. Perfect way to start the day with a lovely meal from Grace's Table, would definitely return in the future.
The food is really good. I especially like how all the fruit on the plates were on the sweet side, even the strawberries. I've had the minced Kobe hamburger which was really good, and could be cooked rare. I also had a shrimp and grits. Iron skillet corned bread came with lavender butter. Nice spacious restaurant with no wait around 11-12. I had the same female waitress the few times I've been, and she was really inattentive and not that friendly. I don't really like having to flag the waitress down for every single thing (and having to raise my voice), even ordering. Everything felt like it was taking too long for brunch, when it was moderately busy. Food is good but not worth my time to return.
The location and service is great! We went there for brunch I ordered the shrimp and grits, my husband ordered the eggs Benedict. Honestly I can say that I have had better especially for the price. The shrimp and grits, had 4 pieces of shrimp, and 4 slices of andouille sausage, 2 eggs, spinach and grits. The sausage and the spinach added more flavor and character. However the grits were not very flavorful. My husband's eggs Benedict was good, the hollandaise sauce needed a little more flavor. The potato cake was tasteless. The ambience is nice and the service great but the food left me flat.
When searching for eateries near our resort I saw this one and then the husband was like this one is near the winery we should go. Say less. Then I saw they had the gravalax salmon that I wanted to try. I always get the bagel and lox when a restaurant has it. Living in Illinois it's far and few between. So that was exactly what I ordered. I like it. It's not smoked and I can't really explain the taste. However, I didn't get the fuzziness On the roof of my mouth that I sometimes get with lox. It was sliced thinner and I liked that too. I didn't try my husband's pancakes but the fingerling potatoes were delicious. Our server was efficient. They knew when and how to bring everything out. The couple seated next to us, I later found out my husband struck up a conversation because he thought the wife was Viola Davis. So now he tells people we met Viola in Napa.
The service was phenomenal! Just a little girls trip and our first stop for dinner didn't disappoint!
Shrimp and grits with eggs and hollandaise sauce was excellent. Try this for brunch- you wont be disappointed Pancakes were very light and fluffy. The egg and pulled pork taco was excellent Unfortunately they sold out of grace's cinnamon iced rolls so order as soon as you sit down to hopefully get them
This place was a must try for a few of us during the wine weekend trip for the long holiday. I myself have never been but have heard of this place and is on our list. Of course it's right in the heart of downtown so it was perfect for after dinner stroll. We had an early reservation which when we arrived, majority of the tables were empty. There's both indoor and outdoor seating. A few tables along the front patio as well as a bigger sectioned outdoor patio along the side of the restaurant. Indoor is just one big room. There's a bar counter but I don't remember if you can utilize it. Our waitress was a major doll. The sweetest ever and very friendly. Made sure that we were well taken cared off the whole time. Menu wise for both drinks and food was quite nice. I think we were all wined out after the afternoon tasting....lol... So a little cocktail here and there was tried. Food wise, there was a big group so a bunch of starters was had to share. The pork belly was delicious, small but tasty. It was basically just enjoying a nice thick piece of bacon with roasted apples with a glaze. That was a favorite amongst everyone. Prosciutto and burrata with grilled strawberries and micro greens and a balsamic glaze. You can't go wrong with burrata, it was delicious. The cast iron corn bread with lavender honey was another favorite. Something so simple yet so delicious. There was another dish in a grape leaves but I don't remember ordering it. It was tasty. Also, I could have sworn we ordered the beet salad but didn't get it...lol... Could be wrong. Anyways, starters were nice. Entrees, another mix of everything had. We each ordered our own but ended up passing things around to share. The duck confit didn't sound that interesting but someone ordered it and it was quite delicious. Think that was the best dish out of everything we had. The steak and fries were good, did like the seasoning used for the fries. The shrimp boil was ok, sort of flavorless in my opinion. Potatoes, sausage, bell peppers, onions, corn, shrimp tossed in a lobster broth. It was good but lacking some seasoning. Not your traditional shrimp boil as you would think with the loaded seasoning. Roasted chicken with the wild spring vegetables and wild rice pilaf. It's chicken, decent and moist. Still pretty tasty. The halibut with the roasted mix veggies. Nice piece of meat cooked nicely. Classic gnocchi in basil pesto, simple but good. The short rib which I believe was the special. A few piece of meat, with mashed potatoes, grilled onions and corn on the cob. It was good, meat was tender and flavorful. Also a side order of the onion rings which was also a favorite. Nice thick piece with grated Parmesan. Of course we still had to get dessert after all that. Two different one, the cheesecake with fresh fruit and the shortbread cake with creme and fruit. Both were quite tasty and a nice way to finish off a meal even though we were full. Overall, the service was top notch. Service was amazing and our waitress was a major doll. The sweetest and friendliest. Made us feel so welcomed. Drinks, quite good. Food, there was some hit and misses. We did enjoy ourselves and had a nice time. Location is amazing in the heart of downtown. I believe everything is street parking. Another place off the list.
Service was efficient and speedy! We were expecting to wait ~30 minutes for a table but got seated in 8. There's a lot of bustle here during the brunch rush but once you're seated it's easy to relax and enjoy yourself. The place is large but just small enough to still feel cozy. I don't usually order dishes I've never heard of before, but when our server read the Turkish Eggs special and mentioned the yogurt, dill, salmon, and poached eggs, I couldn't say no! I was pleasantly surprised by how well the smoked salmon and yogurt dill sauce went together, made better by the runny yolk of a perfectly poached egg. I would absolutely go back just for that special. The pancakes were fluffy and delicious, though you can only get so excited about pancakes. Chilaquiles were delightfully savory, the plate was practically licked clean. Overall it's a great brunch spot for any weekend occasion!
Busy Sunday morning in a cute place. Service was prompt and friendly. Unfortunately we were both disappointed. My $24 Eggs Benedict was served with a bland Hollandaise sauce that was completely lacking in character. The potato cake that was served with it was small, bland and cold. My wife commented that it tasted like a frozen hash brown that had been undercooked. The $28 shrimp and grits included four shrimp of questionable quality, several small slices of sausage and almost no grits. Neither entrée was bad, but at these price points they should've been much much better.
My girlfriend and I stopped by Grace's Table for brunch while in Napa, and overall it was a great experience. She ordered the shrimp and grits, and I went with the chilaquiles, plus we both got iced vanilla lattes. I'll admit--I'm not a big grits person, so her dish wasn't really for me, but the chilaquiles were incredible. Easily the highlight of the meal. The space itself is pretty packed with tables, so it can feel a little cramped, but it's clean and has a great atmosphere. There's tons of natural light, and they have a wall that opens up, which lets in fresh air and makes the place feel more open. Overall, we had a really solid dining experience. If we find ourselves back in Napa, we'll definitely be back.

This restaurant is located in downtown Napa, has a cute interior and a few outside table. We decided to come here for lunch and were offered a menu with breakfast and lunch items. There was a wide variety of options, with creative ingredient mixes. Our server was very nice and knowledgeable about the menu items. Our meals were presented within a reasonable time. I ordered the Grilled Chicken Sandwich and my partner ordered the Eggs Benedict, as our server highly recommended this dish. Both meals were very good and the portion size was generous. Our server and other staff checked in with us to see if we needed anything but otherwise allowed us to sit and chat. This lunch was delicious and very enjoyable. read more

I really enjoy this restaurant. Staff is welcoming and attentive. We had to have the skillet cornbread with the lavender butter! I loved the hanger steak frites! Had a yummy Merlot from Coombsville. They have nice outdoor and indoor options for seating and the inside of the restaurant is comfy. I've been before for brunch which is also amazing. My friends had the pork belly and the tamale both were yummy. And one rule breaker had fries and devils food cake for dinner! Have what you love. Life is short! I recommend this spot but be sure to have reservations the restaurant filled up quick. read more

Well, we were passing through Napa connecting up with an uncle in the nearby area. This place was recommended by him through a reviews and was absolutely charming and delicious. It's one of those absolutely packed houses where they are just fitting in a table and everyone wherever they can and you might not be as lucky to grab a table if you have a larger group so I would definitely call ahead. The food was all amazing. The coffee was quite good. It's always nice to be treated by a family member especially to a nice establishment like this and we definitely ordered all the bit we wanted. It's kind of a Mexican breakfast new American kind of theme going on and we definitely leaned to that hybrid. The more maximum items were very delicious and very good but when I saw a burger and shoestring fries come out as I was ordering I went that route. Everything was cooked perfection juicy delicious burger, perfect bun, amazing fries, and the kids really enjoyed the pancakes and some of the seafood assortment . 8/17/24 Unassuming restaurant yet expertly executed service & delectable, creative meals. We were cruising for a dine in place when we passed by this little restaurant in Downtown Napa. It caught our attention because it looked so open & airy. We parked about a half a block down the street & walked in, not knowing reservations were strongly recommended. The gracious hostess was very friendly & accommodating. She offered the bar or another table where the customers were about to leave. We opted to wait. It was ready in no time & the host sat us immediately. Service was seamless although the restaurant was full/busy. Water was brought to the table then our server, Audrey greeted us & offered beverages. Hubby ordered a glass of Cabernet & since we had time to peruse the menu, we ordered right away, we were famished! Hubby ordered the chicken & I wanted to try the corn bread which Ive read is their popular side dish, and the Kobe burger with fresh greens with citrusy vinaigrette. When the corn bread arrived, I could already tell it was going to be really good because it looked moist, and it truly was! Wow, best corn bread Ive ever tasted! Our server said it's because it is made with lots of eggs. Hubby's chicken was also tasty & delicious, the aroma was phenomenal, juicy & tender, so good. Hubby said it's the best chicken he's had in a while (next to the chicken piccata I cooked for him, he said, of course lol). My salad was very refreshing with the citrusy vinaigrette. The burger was cooked a perfect medium rare & seasoned just right. It went well with the Parmesan fries. I really enjoyed this burger. The staff all worked so well together to make the dining experience enjoyable. Someone periodically checked on us making sure our beverages were refilled, plates put away and to inquire if everything is to our liking. There were about 10-12 tables inside the restaurant and a few tables for outdoor dining. Highly recommend this cafe/restaurant. Honestly went with Grace table because of reviews, maybe I ordered wrong, maybe staff was having a bad day but my experience was horrible. The next day I went to Winston's just a few minutes walk away and they were great. First off let me say I don't like to assume so this is how I felt. We were greeted and seated no issues. We had a few questions about the menu because it's our first time here, the server answered but she seemed a little agitated nonetheless she answered to the best of her ability. We order our food I got the Cassoulet Duck because I wanted to try something new and I love duck. The serve did say it a good dish but it's a unique taste. We all got our meals and everything tasted ok not great just ok. My Cassoulet Duck was so salty and horrible tasting it's like the chef just toss an entire bottle of salt in the dish. The duck was funny tasting, just overall horrible. A little suggestion here remove that from the menu or cook it right. I told the server I can't eat this, too much salt and it tastes horrible. She replied I told you sausage were in there that makes it salty and that it's an acquired taste. I said ok, ask for the menu to order something else, I ordered the Chilaquiles but I couldnt pronounce it right so she did for me, I said no eggs because I don't eat eggs. She said ok and walked off. Soon I see her talking to what I presume is a manger, he walks over to ask if I am sure that this is what I wanted and with no eggs because I didn't like the Duck Cassoulet. I said yes, he walked away spoke to her again then came back with a very condescending tone to list the ingredients and said no eggs, then added you also order the Cassoulet so I am not sure about this order. For which I reply I know don't worry I will pay for everything. Not one of these people made my experience better they just made it worst with the side eyes, the condensing tone and fact that they never even offer to take the meal off, which honestly is no big deal because I paid for everything, no big deal. They literally talked themselves out of a good review and a great tip. Nonetheless I left 18% gratuity but I will never visit a place that is not welcoming again. Their tone, behavior and actions were not welcoming. Not pictured here is the Chilaquiles and they were actually very tasty, great portion size, great flavor. A little pricy for a Tofu scramble with a bitter and no satisfying flavor. It was a mushy unseasoned and that 1 potato cake was not salted either. My husband and I came to Grace's Table for brunch on Valentine's Day and we had a great time! It is located in Downtown Napa, and luckily parking wasn't too hard to find. The staff was attentive as they made sure we were taken care of at all times. The atmosphere wasn't too loud and the music playing perfectly fit the overall vibe. They have a variety of foods to offer from, as on their menu it states they are "A Global Kitchen Focusing on France, Italy, & The Americas. I had the Eggs Benedict and they were delicious! Perfect amount of sauce and the eggs were cooked well. I also had an Argentine Empanada with Chimichurri sauce. I would definitely order it again. My husband had the Chilaquiles and the tortillas were cooked well. My son had a Grilled Cheese with a side of Fries, and he loved it. Looking forward to coming back soon! read more

So many vegans come to Napa, or just people who want choices and luckily this place had one breakfast choice- Tofu scramble! Of course it is uncomparable to LA flavors of tofu scrambles, but it was alright. I was grateful to have even this option. But what about having some vegan pancakes, some baked potatoes with impossible sausage? Based on other restaurants in Napa, I see demand for good Vegan options but restaurants don't put efforts into providing what their customers are asking for. Had heard wonderful things about this restaurant. We went before wine tasting and the brunch was satisfying, with no wait on a Saturday at 11 AM. Wonderful service! However, the quality was not what we were hoping. The eggs Benedict was decent, was a little bit salty. The tamales were also good and cheesy but nothing to rave about. Cornbread was decently crispy but lacked flavor. The strawberry margarita could have been stronger but we enjoyed the strawberry purée and fruit in this.Could be a decent walk in brunch spot before your wine tasting. read more

I came during mother's day with three other people, and we were able to get seated at the bar with no wait. we ordered the lavender cornbread, classic burger, eggs benedict, and a few other things. everything was so delicious! the lavender cornbread was my personal highlight. Portions are super decent and all the food tastes so fresh and has a genuine farm to table feel. We came on a rainy Saturday morning and it was still packed! However, we were able to get a table for 4 within 30min. My steak was incredibly tender and actually cooked medium rare (unlike most other places that overcook my steak). The potato side was delicious and a bit different from the normal fries that usually come with a brunch steak. The eggs were also still runny! All around an amazingly executed dish! read more

We wanted to really love this place but it fell really short. Americano was weak and tasted like only one shot of espresso and a ton of excess water. Pulled pork tacos were under seasoned and very greasy. Kobe hanger steak and frites were 3.5/5 but came super rare/raw and sent it back. They covered the cut areas in sauce so it was hard to tell what the new temp was. The frites were the best part of the whole meal. Cinnamon roll was good. Not enough to have us come back. When in Napa I seem to come here a lot. Usually because whoever I am with wants to. I used to think this place amazing from time I walk in to the time we leave. Not so much any more. Seems to be inconsistent now. In recent visits I have been ignored at the host. Ignored at the table, and food is up and down. A tamale plate which I have believed as excellent is sometimes dry. Steak which at times is very flavorful has come out tough and dry. On yesterday's visit we had the pancakes with a side of sausage and the quiche. The quiche was partially cold and also burned on the bottom, though very flavorful. The pancakes which sometimes is right a fluffy was this time dense and dry. Hard to eat even drenched in syrup and butter. What really made me think twice about coming back was the service. Very busy but we were seated immediately at noon on Sunday. Service was prompt and food was excellent. Cornbread is crispy, warm, not sweet.. but the butter is lightly sweetened. Chilaquiles were properly prepared and not too heavy. Great spot if you are in downtown Napa. read more
