I was in Napa for the weekend and was looking for some good eats. I was browsing YELP for restaurants in the area and saw the iron skillet lavender corn bread on the menu here and was sold. Look no further, to Grace's Table we go. I called to see if we needed reservations and was told there was seating available both inside and outside for our party of two. Once we arrived we decided to sit outside. We started with the 4 piece iron skillet cornbread! It was delectable the lavender butter was the perfect match for the cake like cornbread perfectly seasoned with added fresh corn kernels...fav! The table next to us were both eating the shrimp boil. It looked and smelled delicious. I ordered it sans the sausage and my friend ordered the southwest tamale. We were both very pleased. My order was just enough for one serving while her tamale was enough for two, it was very filling. The service and food will definitely warrant a return when I'm in town. So delish!!!! Been thinking of my dinner at Grace's Table since visiting Napa a week ago. We went for dinner. Of note, making a reservation requires putting down a credit card. When we got there at 6 for dinner for table of 5 adults and 2 toddlers, the restaurant was pretty empty on a Tuesday. we had our choice of indoor or outdoor dining. Usually would have preferred outdoor dining, but it was 105F outside. The indoor dining was not bad... the windows were all open, so you got a fresh breeze, but also enjoyed the cooler AC inside. We ordered two apps to share: the cornbread with lavender butter and the pork belly. Both were divine. The lavender in the butter definitely shone out - this was so floral and amazing. The pork belly had a ton of flavor, soft and tender, and a flavor explosion. I ordered the cassoulet and hubby got the hanger steak. The hanger steak, actually wasn't that good - had a little bit of a Worcestershire flavor profile. The cassoulet, on the other hand, was really good. The beans provided a hearty background. The meats were nicely cooked - and a lot of meat provided. My favorite surprisingly was the sausage. It was so soft and melted in your mouth. Definitely want to come back! read more

It's our first time to try out this place in Napa. The moment we came in, we were greeted by an all smile and pleasant hostess. She looks so welcoming. Even the food attendants are very nice and friendly. The place is quite spacious with a lot of table seatings. From the floor to the tables, everything is pristine. Everything here was bad to mediocre. Came in for brunch, and ordered a steak skillet with cornbread and a bowl of soup. Table next to us said "we usually love your soups but this one missed the spot." Should've canceled our soup order after hearing that. They gave us a squash soup which was a daily special and it had a rotten sour taste to it. What's funny was that when the server brought it out to us she said if we don't like it she'll replace it with another soup, as if she knew it was going to be bad. We sent it back because it was inedible. The tomato soup we got in replacement was ok. The cornbread I got with my steak was rubbery. A solid brunch spot! All of the food we had was very good and cooked perfectly. The salmon in the lox appetizer was so fresh and there was so much food I actually had this as my meal. The eggs benedict was delicious as well, but just your standard textbook eggs benedict. The appetizer special had the most AMAZING fried goat cheese that really stood out on the dish. Our server was attentive and the food came out quickly. The restaurant was full when we went at 10am but the turnover was quick enough where there didn't seem to be too big of a wait for anyone! I had a reservation to come here after I looked at the menu however my daughter thought that this was a good choice. We stopped by for a dinner on Friday night, no reservation, we got outside seat without a long wait. The service was nice and mostly smooth for busy Friday night. There isn't much going on as an ambience however its nice setting, the inside have a lots of different kind of decorations due to the place is a multicultural restaurant, they try to have pieces from different country they represent for décor as well. The room is very open mostly small tables inside. I have a lots of reservations about the menu and the food, we didn't like the food we orders that much maybe we orders the wrong food. I found it very hard to focus on mastering all the different kind of food on the menu since pretty much everything in there is so different from each other, its hard to focus on each individual dish. With all the plates we orders, we didn't really impressed on any of them I figured, its just hard to master to make each dish amazing when you have such many different things county to master. It was extremely disappointing to hear the inconsistency of information from the staff. This place was recommended to us by a local so we decided to come here for dinner when were in the area last weekend. We were dining with another couple, who are both vegetarian. When they asked the waiter for options, he basically pointed out the only vegetarian dish (a pesto gnocchi entree) and the salads. They were actually interested in the empanada and asked if it could be made with a different filling, but the waiter said that they are already pre-made. Okay.. understandable. Sometimes, restaurants offer more imaginative options for dietary restrictions but I guess not the case here. We ordered a bottle of wine for the table to start. **AND FYI: the waiter refused to bring the complimentary bread to the table until we ordered our food. So we ordered the Iron Skillet Cornbread with lavender honey butter (4 pieces for $10) for the table. My husband and I each ordered the Argentinian Empanada ($11/each) also. I had the Roasted Heirloom Chicken and my husband had some seafood boil type of dish. Our friends got the French fries and the one vegetarian pesto gnoochi dish to share. Cornbread was good. It was light and spongy for a cornbread. The empanada for $11 each was insanely overpriced. The ratio of dough to meat inside was fine but the meat inside was crumbly and I ended up drowning it in the chimichuri sauce that was on the side. My chicken entree was incredibly lackluster. The presentation was fine but the chicken was UNBEARABLY dry. It tasted as if it was made ahead of time and just warming for hours. I couldn't really get past how dry it was and the vegetables were also missing flavor and seasoning. My husband was not happy with his seafood dish either. For the price point, it was extremely bland (according to him) and, we all agreed that it looked quite pale in color. There was no evidence of seasoning even by the looks of it. He felt obligated to eat as much of it as he could to justify paying for it. Our friends said their gnoochi was okay (likely better than the dishes we ended up with) but mostly because it was so basic. Normally, if the service is outstanding, I could easily overlook food not living up to expectations. However our waiter seemed a little off from the beginning. His body language and tone of voice was not that friendly. And when our friends asked for water without ice he acted blatantly frustrated with the request, gave us a nasty look, and stormed off. Granted he did come back but his attitude was super uncalled for. For the price point, I guess I was hoping for better- in terms of food and service. Plus, come on.. this is Napa. You would think standards and quality would be higher. But the experience overall was a negative for us. The cornbread tasted more like dessert quiche but it was delicious paired with the Lavendar honey butter (although didn't taste the Lavendar). I thought I wouldn't be satisfied with the portion since the quiche slice was about the same as a slice of the cornbread, however, I was wrong. As a matter of fact I didn't finish the quiche. Great variety of food and farm to table type eats. They have some healthy options as well. We got the cinnamon roll and lavender honey butter corn bread to start and both were delicious. Lot too sweet and the perfect amounts the lavender butter is amazing and I wanted to put it on everything. For my meal I tried the tofu scramble. Definitely on the healthy side and not greasy. Tofu was packed with flavors and a good texture/consistency. The amount of food was perfect to not feel tired and full all day. It's Napa so definitely on the more expensive side for the amount of food you get and price, but the food was tasty. It seemed everyone at our table enjoyed their food. The chilaquiles, shrimp and grits, and steak as eggs were some favorites. They open at 9 am and don't take reservations for brunch so get there early and you should be fine to get a table. I like the outdoor space they have. Nice and breezy space. Our group of 6was visiting from out of town but I did enjoy brunch here and would revisit if coming back. read more

Finally! It's been a few years since I've been wanting to come here and I finally tried it! My fiancée and I had a great time. We ordered their chilaquiles, steak and eggs, and cornbread with lavender butter. I enjoyed the oven-cooked cornbread which had nice burned trimmings that had a nice smoky taste. The cornbread sort of tasted like quiche! The steak and eggs tasted delicious which was cooked medium rare and had this red sauce that had lots of roasted tomato flavor. I ordered a side of black beans with pico de gallo which was fresh and provided a nice protein bite. The chilaquiles weren't that good; they were over cooked and had a scrambled eggs texture. I prefer my tortilla chips fresh and crisp without being so soggy. Overall, Grace's table was pretty good and I'd definitely come back! I'd like to order other dishes as well as their cinnamon bun! I went here pre-covid a few times now, but decided I should write a review to get more people to try this place out! They are known for the cornbread with the lavender butter which does have four pieces per order. I have also gone during restaurant week and honestly out of all the restaurants that participated Grace's table offered the most value matched with quality of food. I had two decent size crab cakes (a little size smaller than a jar of spaghetti sauce) with tomato based sauce and white cream to go on top. The steak frites is one of my favorite items on the menu. They are generous with portion of fires and are thin and crispy. My friends that joined me had the duck confit, gnocchi and quiche of the day. The two downfalls to this restaurant is that it can get busy on the weekends (with covid obviously takeout is the option right now) and that the menu doesn't change. If they had more options to choose from this would be a more crowd pleasing spot. Went to Grace's Table yesterday within an hour of them opening. So it wasn't busy and got seated fast. During that time I believe there was only one server Nicole. She was nice and asked us if we were doing okay a couple times while we were there. My sister and I ordered the Cornbread with the lavender butter, which was pretty good. When I called I spoke to a guy and then he passed the phone to Nicole, she said it was a mistake and that she would have to pass the phone to the owner. Which is fine, like I said mistakes happen, no big deal. But when the phone got pass to the owner, he was joking and mocking about "a little $7" for a cinnamon roll. And that when we would go back he'd buy us a cinnamon roll and another thing for those $7. And like I said I know honest mistakes happen. But he kept laughing and being arrogant while on the phone and I even ask what was so funny. And he said it's just $7 dollars. So I got so annoyed about the way he handled the whole situation so I told him to keep his $7 and hung up. As an OWNER, that's unprofessional and rude. I was just calling to let them know about the mistake that way they are more careful. But just make sure you take a look at your receipt, that way you don't have to deal with the owner. We had reservations and arrived early they gladly seated us immediately. My youngest son had the grilled cheese which he enjoyed thoroughly and my eldest son had a salad which he finished completely.
