    Vietnamese Chicken Salad
    Kyra K.

Hanging out with my friends who live in Marin, they recommended we all take our pups here for a dog-friendly no-frills meal. I've been to Gott's at the Ferry Building, but this was my first time trying their other locations. Overall, good food and service, nothing particularly memorable. The restaurant is unassumingly huge! It is extremely open and spacious with plenty of seating for all party sizes plus a bar. The menu is extensive and displayed on giant screens. You order at the front with the workers and wait for your buzzer to go off. There's a section for ordering and picking up food, and all condiments and utensils are self-serve throughout the restaurant. If you want their soft serve, they have a tablet you can order and pay at. We chose to sit outside with our pups and there was plenty of spacious seating in the plaza. My friend recommended the Vietnamese Chicken Salad. I love salads and am a sucker for a chicken one so I opted for that. No complaints, tastes as listed! The salad was fresh, filling, and well-balanced. It was a giant portion and I could only eat half. My friends enjoyed their meals and everything they ordered looked good! If you live in this part of Marin, Gott's Roadside is a great option for a fast, casual, and decent meal. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat it but it's a nice spot in Bon Air. Parking is plentiful in the shopping plaza.

Double Cheeseburger, brussel sprouts, fries and rings and some dummy of a sister ordered a salad

This particular Gott's is overrated in my opinion and if this is any indication of a Gott's then this will be a one and done. The double cheeseburger was a ho hum cheeseburger, nothing special. The fries and onion rings were pretty good, the rings were not real crunchy so I would order them again. Whoever heard of a burger joint that serves brussel sprouts, only in marin, they were good but I like brussel sprouts that aren't overly roasted, it's as if it was left in the oven forever. I don't know what my dear sister was thinking, but who the hell orders a salad at a burger joint, needless to say, that was the only item doggy bagged home. Silly sis.

Good menu, friendly service and good food. Big restaurant!!!! Outside seating too. They have soft serve ice cream too.

I like it here because it's not just burgers. They have a few sandwiches, a few salads, ahi tacos, and burgers. Their fries are great. We usually get the ahi tacos. They are definitely not Mexican tacos. They're closer to an Asian taco with a soy flavor and green onion. The service is pretty quick. Order ahead if you're really hungry and it's a weekend.

Dry bun, dry unseasoned burger patty, overcook crunchy fries, dill heavy ranch. Meaning huge chunks of it. More dill than sauce.

I have only ever been to the Chase Center location in San Francisco, and every time I've gone there the food has been on point. The bun is moist and not dry, the fries are crispy, and the burger patty is seasoned and not dry. This experience at this location was the complete opposite. I ordered a gluten-free turkey burger and asked them to put ALLERGY in the notes. When I went to pick up my order, it was on a regular bun. I told them to remake it. The manager looked at the receipt, apologized, and remade it. That added another 10 minutes, and it took 30 minutes total just to get one burger. When I took a bite, the gluten-free bun was extremely dry. I removed the bun and ate the patty only...which was also dry and unseasoned. The fries were wrong too, they were overcooked and too crispy. The ranch was heavy on dill to the point it was unpleasant. Huge chunks of dill. More dill than ranch sauce. The manager gave me a gift card, which was fine. But here's where it took a turn: I have been throwing up and in the bathroom since last night and still today. At this point, I'm asking myself questions I shouldn't have to ask after eating somewhere...was my food handled safely? Did my patty get dropped on the floor? I will not be using the gift card at this location. I will never return to this location. I appreciate the gift card. I do not appreciate the food poisoning.

On a Saturday evening in mid May, my family came here for dinner. It was hard to find parking at 5:40pm so we circled around the plaza. It's located next to Susie cupcakes and the line was long to order. There was so many little kids eating with their families. Lucky my brother found a table in the corner. The ambiance is nice of people watching and staff cleaning tables. We ordered at the cashier and got Texas avocado burger and shared fries. There are different sauces at the sauce counter. My burger tastes good like a homemade burger. The fries are nice and crispy, . No room for ice cream cone. I read it's coming to LA soon.

Gluten free beer from BevMo to go with our gluten free gotts burgers
    Jennifer C P.

Yes, it's going to be expensive. Especially if you are comparing it to fast food or chains. When you want quality food, expect this. Too many reviews complain about this. I don't get it. I don't need to get it. Onward. When you are looking for a delicious burger with sides, gotts has it! My gluten free burger was delicious. My husband bought my favorite gluten free beer from BevMo so I could recreate my favorite: Burger and a beer. Gotts was always a stop on our way to wine country when we started on the Napa side before we went over the hill to the Sonoma side for wine pickups and dinner. Delicious meal, reasonably priced, gluten free joy in my heart.

Always love going to Gott's, the vibes at the Marin location are always excellent too! They have tons of outdoor seating with heaters and fire pits so on a nice day/evening that's definitely the place to sit. We had some trouble finding a wine we liked and the staff were really helpful and guided us through all their offerings. The food is always amazing as well!

We've driven by this restaurant several times, and it is always packed! When we walked in, I was shocked at how large the establishment was and didn't realize they had a bar inside. My BF and I reached ordered a burger and split some garlic fries. The burgers and fries were great. I wish I could give half stars, because my true rating would be 2.5. & the reason for the lower review, is because of our second transaction. I wanted to try their ice cream, as almost everyone at the establishment was eating a cone, cup, or sundae. I typically don't buy ice cream out, since I can just get it at the store and eat a pint at home. But I placed my order and walked over to the pickup line. This couldn't take more than 5 minutes in my mind. I handed my ticket to the manager, and he walked in the back and I watched him just set the ticket down. As soon as I saw this, I knew he was going to forget about me. He of course then walked away and was preoccupied in conversation with the bartender. Another young kid (you could tell he was new) asked me if I was waiting for something (again - no line, 2 to-go orders waiting). I explained to him I was waiting for an ice cream. He was confused, because tickets are usually handed to someone and then it is their responsibility to get the ice cream (the manager). Another woman walked up and asked the same question - I repeated myself. & by this time the young man walked back out and asked - "did you give your ticket to someone?" I told him who I gave it to, and the manager walked over and started getting really rude with the young man. Saying he lost it and he asked him to do it. AGAIN - I will repeat, I watched this whole scenario with my BF and two people standing next to me - we all shook our heads in disagreement and I said, "no - you didn't. You walked to the back and just placed my ticket down without saying anything to anyone." He pulled the young man to the back and spoke with him. He came out scared and embarrassed and asked what I ordered. I told him, and unfortunately was given the wrong item. I couldn't see who actually made it since they were both around the corner. I usually wouldn't care, but for $6, I wanted the right ice cream. I turned around and returned the ice cream to him, and he immediately made the right one and we left. I don't like watching managers blame other people for their mistakes. It's one thing if the young employee took my ticket and forgot it, but he didn't. The manager took my ticket and walked away. The food was good, but this situation made me really uncomfortable. Even other customers were shocked at the rudeness of the manager. I heard someone say "he's just a kid." Can't say I'll be back. But this was one situation & their food is tasty. There are just other burger joints around I would prefer to support who treat their staff like family.

We also ordered separate truffle fries, which was good for sharing. They had a 'tonight's specials' menu. We tried the Kampachi crudo, which was very underwhelming. Pretty bland, small portion for $24 (4 small pieces). I don't feel like the seating set-up is super optimal for groups larger than 4. We had a group of 5 and we were put in a booth, it was pretty cramped and hard to hear (as it was pretty loud). Our servers were great, though. Good service throughout.

Nothing feels accidental or unintentional. From a 15-page beverage menu, I selected a 2023 Raventós i Blanc Blanc de Blancs Cava from Conca del Riu Anoia, Catalunya. Crisp, celebratory, and the perfect opening note. If you might assume "small courses" won't satisfy, think again. I left completely full. Welcome Snacks Before the first official course, we were surprised with a small welcoming assortment. I couldn't name each component, but they were colorful, beautifully balanced, and layered in flavor and texture -- playful yet precise. A lovely crescendo into what followed. First Course Nicasio Valley egg, lemongrass spuma, pine nuts. We chose to add the optional Black Périgord truffle. When pierced with my spoon, the bright yellow yolk blended like a brushstroke into the white of the egg. The spuma (an airy, savory foam created by aerating a sauce) added a delicate citrus-herbal lift to the richness of the egg. The pine nuts brought delightful contrast texture. Oh, and that exquisite toast! Elegant and harmonious. The delicately-shaved truffle provided a heavenly mouth-feel. Second Course Winter salad, shima aji, orange olive oil or Sunchoke tortelloni, spinach, shiitake, thyme jus One companion chose the vibrant winter salad -- stunning in color and textures including shima aji, a premium Japanese fish. I chose the sunchoke tortelloni. Although I'm usually not a fan of al dente pasta, here it worked beautifully to contrast the creamy filling. The green-tinged spinach tortelloni were visually striking and balanced by the earthy shiitake and fragrant thyme jus. Third Course Mount Lassen trout, abalone & carrot risotto, lobster cream or Flannery beef ribeye, artichoke, Banyuls, black garlic We all chose the trout. The fish was executed perfectly -- caramelized, crisp exterior, yet it flaked effortlessly into large, tender pieces with the fork. The carrot risotto leaned slightly sweet for my palate, though beautifully textured. The tiny slivers of abalone, however, were surprisingly overcooked and chewy. The lobster cream had a thinner, almost broth-like consistency and didn't meaningfully elevate the dish. For reference, Banyuls (used in the ribeye preparation) is a French fortified wine like port from the Roussillon region that creates deep, slightly sweet reductions that complement richer meats. Fourth Course Shiso panna cotta, pineapple vanilla gelée. The panna cotta was softly set, cool, and subtly sweet -- a lovely, light finish. The Japanese mint herb of shiso was subtle. The crumble beneath added wonderful contrast and texture. A small piece of pineapple was firmer than expected, though the overall composition remained balanced and refreshing. With it, I had a decaf Americano. It was so smooth and flavorful I drank it black -- and enjoyed every sip. Post-dessert course We were pleasantly surprised with a pearlized white box of what appeared to be handmade confections: caramel, a sugar-dusted berry gelée, and a ganache-filled chocolate truffle. The unexpected welcome bites and post-dessert confections made the four-course prix fixe feel even more generous and thoughtfully orchestrated. Madcap is an experience of delightful visual artistry and intentional composition. The overall execution, ambiance, and hospitality created a memorable evening. P.S. While I typically eat gluten- and dairy-free, making those substitutions would have fundamentally changed the menu. For this celebratory evening, I chose not to alter the chef's composition. We visited on 2/26/26.
