I have walked by Gordo's numerous times and seen their amusing social media posts but it took awhile for the stars to align. It's a little pricey for dessert but if you're in the right mood it's manna from heaven. So you want to be hungry. I finally tried Gordo's on a recent outing. It was early evening and there was a crowd but enough room to sit down and enjoy your treat after you order from the kiosk. I had the Dubai chocolate (pistachio sauce, chocolate, kunafa) mini pancakes and added chocolate ice cream and strawberries, because I can. There are lots of ice cream flavors and toppings to customize. Kids and adults alike will enjoy this. The food is delicious as well. The pancakes make a good conduit for the ice cream and toppings. Will be back for sugar cravings or late nights. read more

One of a kind cookies n cream waffle ice cream amazing combination with Nutella and warm huge fall apart waffle. It was a great dessert with whipped cream on the top too! This is a great dessert to share with a few people to avoid a sugar craze but it is defiantly worth it time and time again. Would defiantly be coming back in a few months and tops mostly all dessert spots. read more

Ordered Gordo's for the first time, my cousins love them. I had their Cinnamon Toast Crunch with adding biscoff Cookes inside. Unfortunately, my shake didn't have the biscoff cookies in it as ordered, but the shake tasted JUST like the cereal, super delicious!! Easy to eat, and hit the spot! I'd definitely be back to try their other menu choices. read more

So my partner and I were waiting in line for more than 15 minutes, we were looking at the menu tryin to decide what we wanted and the young man working the front did not acknowledge us. I think that was poor customer service. He could have at least said, "sorry we are short staff, I will be with you shortly." Several ppl walked in after us and when he did finally pay attention to the cash register he went ahead and took their order first, never once asked us what we wanted. We have been there before and to not be acknowledged was not ok. They have a lost a customer. read more

Gordo's Bubble Waffles amazes me every time. I've had various flavors, but this recent visit has been by far my favorite. I ordered the Nutty Nana which came with Puppy Chow Ice Cream topped with Reese's peanut butter cups, nuts, Reese's butter, bananas, and whipped cream. It was delicious! 10/10 recommend if you are a peanut butter lover! One thing I love about their bubble waffles are they always come out fresh! Service is timely and the workers are very friendly. LOVE Gordo's Bubble Waffles. It's in our neighborhood, so as soon as we tried it out, we inevitably can't avoid it now. It's become part of our Friday tradition - dinner, drinks, ice cream at Gordo's. I can't help but the get the s'mores buffalo waffle in a box, substitute the ice cream with chocolate. I intend to try different flavors, but for now, the s'mores is my vice. There are options to get a regular waffle cone or scoops, but if you stop by, I'd say it's definitely worth indulging on the bubble waffles! It freezes well too, so if you don't finish it all, you can save it for the next day. read more

I don't have any photos because as soon as it was delivered, we ate it right away! We have driven by Gordo's every single day, and have always chatted about stopping. One day we decided to get it delivered. They package it so nicely to ensure the ice cream won't melt and that the waffle stays warm. You should make it a point to try a bubble waffle and some of their unique flavors of ice cream. A great place for a sweet treat! read more

This was my first time ever trying a bubble waffle, and wow Gordos made it worth trying! The waffle was made warm and had a very sweet taste almost melting in your mouth with the ice cream. They have a ton of different flavors. I tried the strawberry cheesecake and my husband got a Reeses peanut butter cup shake which was to die for. You can also get individual ice cream scoops or bubble waffle sticks. What a cool place! Parking is street parking. read more

Even though the Bubble Waffle was invented in Hong Kong and this establishment is not Asian-owned, I will still support. The bubble waffle tasted nice and toasty. It went fantastic with the ice cream. The warm waffle compliments the cold ice cream very very well. Free Palestine! read more

Gordo's Bubble Waffles: Located in the heart of Bay View (with a second location on the Marquette Campus), this trendy ice cream shop boasts not only a variety of ice cream scoops, but also their famous "Bubble Waffle" sundaes. The shop itself has a fun and welcoming atmosphere with friendly employees, striking artwork, and contemporary music. Although there were quite a few sundae options I would like to try, the one that stood out the most was their "Cookie Monster". The Cookie Monster is a scoop of cookies n cream ice cream topped with crushed OREOs, whipped cream, drizzles of Nutella & icing, all wrapped in a Bubble Waffle. I was immediately enthralled by the size and beauty of my sundae. To begin with, the crushed OREOs were not just a sprinkling of cookie dust, but almost entire halves of OREOs. Not purely for aesthetic purposes, the drizzle of Nutella and icing packed more sugar and flavor along with the light and fluffy whipped cream. Taking my first bite, I was startled to discover that the Bubble Waffle was still warm! In retrospect I probably should have expected that, but I've never had a Bubble Waffle and I was anticipating it to be similar to a waffle cone. The freshly made Bubble Waffle is not only warm, but soft and chewy with a slightly buttery flavor. Honestly, the contrasting temperatures actually works pretty well, other than the fact that it gives your dessert a short life expectancy due to the melt time. This brings me to my only two cons, which are both just personal preferences. First, you have to eat it quickly and I prefer to slowly savor my food. Second, I'm kind of frugal (I struggle with justifying $5 for Crumbl) and at $12 it is a bit pricey (ice cream scoops seemed on par with other area ice cream and custard shops though). I still say it's worth the indulgence to try at least once or on a special occasion. I know I'll be back for some of their other options at some point. We stopped to enjoy a bubble waffle for a yelp event. My husband and I shared a bubble waffle. We chose the Cookie Monster. The hot waffle with the ice creme was delicious. We didn't know what to expect but we were pleasantly surprised. The service was great, she was very patient with us and she was very happy we enjoyed our bubble waffle. It will definitely be on our list to take our guests when in town. Gordon's was a quaint little diner type restaurant. We enjoyed the restaurant. read more

We were in the mood for dessert after dinner and came across Gordo's on Yelp and decided to check it out. Love the concept and all the flavors seemed so yummy! Went with the Ferraro flavor (it's also a new one). You can ask to switch out the vanilla ice cream for chocolate, which was nice. The dessert was so good! The ice cream on top with the warm, soft waffle below was a delicious combo. I'd say for us, one cone was enough for 2 people. Almost $13 per cone does seem a bit hefty but not too bad once in a while. They also have shakes and regular scoops as well. Staff were very nice and helpful. The shop itself is a little small with only a few tables so we did have to wait a few minutes for one, but it wasn't that bad. Will come again to try the triple chocolate flavor :) read more

Knowing we are all amazing Wisconsinites and eating ice cream in the middle of sub-zero temperatures doesn't phase us ANYWAY, Gordo's in Bayview is definitely a stop for all age ranges and any time of year. Funky and fun atmosphere with graffiti-pop style artwork on the walls and sometimes club music playing, shows easily why kids and parents, as well as the late night owl crowd grabbing cones at midnight. The bubble waffle cone is something to behold - fresh, hot and crunchy bubbles of waffle (check out their IG page to see how it's made!) along with toppings and interesting ice cream flavors make signature pairings that are quick crowd favorites. Also, they're constantly making the waffles fresh for your order, so the place constantly smells amazing! I had the Cookie Monster which had cookies and cream ice cream, Nutella, crushed Oreos and whipped cream. The mix of hot and cold in the best way. They also have bubble waffle sticks, mini pancakes, ice cream by the scoop, shakes and coffee drinks to round things out. I will definitely be back to try more signature bubble waffle cones. Not just for the food, but the customer service of the owners/dudes running the joint. They were awesome, friendly, made a quality cone and gave advice on popular items! read more

We stopped by on a Sunday night for some treats. The place was pretty busy and all the all the tables were full, so we sat in the back until some of them cleared out. We got our order in right away and it wasn't too long before we recieved our food, and grabbed a table. It was pretty quiet inside, all you could hear were people talking. It would be nice to have some background music to mask some of the conversations going on. The staff was friendly, but quiet, it felt like a place that would be a little bit more upbeat, but blame it on Sunday night. We had the fruity pebbles bubble waffle cone and the nutty nana mini pancakes. Both were very good and would definitely get again! I think next time I would share the cone, it was pretty big for just me. Would go again! read more

Calling all late-night sweet-tooths! Did you know that the hottest new dessert spot in Milwaukee is open until MIDNIGHT! Forget Taco Bell and get yourself a bubble waffle instead! Gordo's gave me all the feels with flash backs to late-night gofres in Spain, but (sorry, Spain) they are doing something RIGHT because I've never ever enjoyed a waffle as much as this. It's just something about that batter! Just the right amount of fluff and chewyness (chewiness?). I was also pleasantly surprised that it wasn't too sweet! In spite of many sweet components - frosting, ice cream, and whipped cream- somehow they struck that perfect balance of sweet with the savory of the waffle and, frankly, it is to die for. And the mini pancakes are so cute and delicious, too!! read more

I had an opportunity to try a bubble waffle cone and I'm so glad I did. They have a variety of items on the menu including 10 types of bubble waffle cone, scoops of ice cream with a ton of toppings to choose from, shakes, and different coffee drinks. The prices are very reasonable. I kept it simple on my first visit and tried the strawnella which was simple in ingredients and flavors but was amazingly good. I was still full from lunch but managed to eat all of it. I will be back for sure to try the other items on the menu. read more

Well everyone, I finally bit the bullet and got ice cream in Milwaukee. Took all of 15 minutes to ruin my stomach. The Triple Chocolate was worth it. The waffle cone was delicious! I got to rip the little bubbles off and it was fun to eat. The brownie bites were a nice touch. I will now be on a sugar hiatus to keep my blood sugar in check. I'll come back and maybe with some Lactaid. read more

It all began in 12' when I visited the Pacific Northwest with my spouse to renew our vows. After a long night of romanticized escapading we decided to explore exotic delicacies in the nearby area. We stumbled upon what was known then as 'bubbly waffles', we were swept off of our feet and have been searching for local 'bubbly waffles' ever since. My oh my when Hansen and I found out a 'bubble waffle cafè' had opened up right next door to our home pad we had to check it out! Boy were we sent into an oral paradise!! I ordered the Cookie Monster bubble waffle and hubby ordered the biscoff bubble waffle. When I tell you this place is a must for dates, or even bringing the fam I mean it! The waffle was hot and fresh and the toppings melded together perfectly PS.. the wall art is definitely IG worthy! read more

They just opened up and it was a perfect, sweet treat. I got the strawnella, which was the bubble waffle, with vanilla ice cream and strawberries and then drizzled with Nutella. It was indeed as good as it sounded and tasted. The bubble Waffle itself was warm, fluffy, and light! While it does initially look like a lot of food, I did not feel like it was too heavy of a dessert that I couldn't finish it. Interior is cute, trendy, modern, with some fake grass on the wall and light up signs. Service was prompt, extremely friendly. My only suggestion was that the music was super loud and we were there? It was like blasting One Direction on one repeat for some reason and we could barely hear each other talk across the table, but don't let that be the reason that you don't come, because the desserts are so tasty! I'm glad that Bay View has gained a dessert spot that will hit the spot after any meal. Definitely give it a try! read more
