Insomnia Cookies - Desserts Near Me - Milwaukee, Wisconsin

I love this insomnia cookies location! It's the perfect place to go after bar hopping in the local water street area. The worker at this location was extremely kind and even gave our group an extra cookie for free as we looked visibly exhausted. I will definitely be coming back to location often in the future! read more

Just got off a river cruise and wasn't sure what to do with my time. As I shuffled back to my car with my Land Legs™, I saw this place across the street. Unsure what the gimmick was, but also very aware of what cookies are, I wandered in. Immediately I was in love. I wanted to live there. The inside was simple. Seating along the wall. They sold cookies, ice cream, and maybe brownies. Not sure. First thing that caught my eye was the cooler labeled "milk" and "not milk." Now listen. I need milk like it's oxygen. I get cranky if I don't get at least two glasses a day. I order it at restaurants sometimes, and NOT sarcastically. The only thing I've found that pairs well with a tall, cold glass of milk, is a second, tall, cold glass of milk. So right away I go to the counter. The lady was super nice and informed me these cookies weren't going to keep me awake all night. I began to order the double chocolate chip cookie UNTIL I saw a TRIPLE chocolate chip cookie. Called an audible, got the triple choccy chip and a milk. 2% because I don't like to chew my milk. This cookie came out warm as the day it was born. It was soft in the middle and crunchy on the edges. These are the cookies people write epics about. Cookie by Homer 10/10. The milk? It was as if she reached into the heart of an iceberg and pulled out a single milk, like King Arthur and the Sword in the Stone. It was crisp from start to finish. The kind of milk you'd bring home to mom. Milk of the Round Table 10/10. read more

Never place a delivery order from this store. You'll never receive the order. I've tried twice now and both times my order failed to ever be delivered read more

The young man that works the cashier counter around 11pm is very unprofessional very dismissive and very ill mannered. yesterday was my first time going and the service was good but today it was the complete opposite! Im not sur if they just hire anyone but I expected more of a professional experience and it sucked read more

Love their oatmeal cookies! It's my favorite snack to get when I am in the area. Great service, and always squeaky clean.

Horrible! We walked in on a Sunday afternoon and were not greeted. An employee was sitting at a table in the front of the store just staring off into space, obviously on a break. The others were in the back and it took a good three minutes to come to help us. We ordered three cookies and the guy rang me up before he got the cookies, comes back from the back and says they're out of one cookie and to order another because I already paid for it. No offer of a refund, no customer service in any way. Just microwaved cookies at a marked up price. read more

Horrible horrible horrible. Ordered and now currently waiting 1.5hours. I called for an update and they put the phone down and finally picked up just to hang up on my face!!! Called back and wouldn't answer the phone!! read more

It's fine, store is starting to smell greasy, some of the employees are decent, but I've had a few that really didn't make me feel welcome. All and all, it's decent for a late night cookie. read more

Food could've been warmer but was good overall would definitely get these over CRUMBL

Five-star-flavor. You get the ooey-gooey cookie freshness every time, and they truly do melt in your mouth. It was my first time in this (new'ish) location on Third Street. Parking is never a good time in this area but I managed to snag a spot two blocks down. The storefront itself is large and open, but is currently only offering cookies to-go. The customer service was a bit of a bummer, similar to what I've experienced in other locations in the past. Their POS (ordering system) was down, which isn't their fault, but that information was not at all clearly relayed to me or other customers in the shop who were standing around a little confused. In the end, I ordered and paid via my phone. Sadly they were out of two cookie flavors I was after, but the deliciousness of the other's in my order made up for it. Ordering from the 'classic cookie' menu, I ended up with cookies 'n' cream, double chocolate chunk, the classic chocolate chip, and white chocolate macadamia. My husband and I shared them all, and I'd have to say my fave was the ladder, a coconut-y cookie with bits of macadamia nut and creamy white chocolate chips. It was so smooth and buttery! Personally, I think these cookies are a bit overpriced, but I guess that doesn't stop people from ordering them for delivery when they have a 1am craving. You can order cookies in boxes or packs for larger parties, and they also offer ice cream, ice cream sandwiches, and cakes. Go get that sugar fix! read more

The cookies were good and the ice cream was tasty but they were out of a lot of things and it's expensive for what you get. The staff were trying to keep up but weren't able to. I can't say I'd recommend. read more

New location, same great cookies! I came to the store around 2pm on a Thursday, so definitely not a peak time by any means, and I ordered my cookies there, to-go. I mention this as many reviews are specific to their delivery services! Menu board was easy to read, and I landed on a 24 pack of mini cookies ($11, which I think is a really good value). I was informed that they would take about 10 min to bake, but I was fine with the wait and had a chat with my coworker. He ordered a 10-pack of regular, which were in the warmer and ready to go. The only flavor they were out of was the sugar cookie, but who gets that flavor anyways?! It took right about 10 min, and cookies were warm and smelled amazing! No complaints from any of my coworkers who received them either! Classic chocolate chip was the reigning champion. My only comment would be that my coworker got his cookies nicely arranged in his box, and mine were literally tossed in, but I do believe that's why I got 29 cookies instead of 24 :) Slid right of the baking tray?! Would come back again, especially after events in the Deer District! read more

Insomnia Cookies - Ice Cream on a Deluxe Cookie - Desserts Near Me - Milwaukee, Wisconsin

We didn't order online, we came into the store to purchase. The selection was a bit low for 8PM but we got some of the ones we wanted. I think these cookies are a bit overpriced but technically the person working the counter gave us two extra cookies for free so I am not complaining. I liked the flavor and texture of these cookies. We actually didn't eat most of them and ended up taking them home (4 hour flight) and eating them over the next 2 days. Shockingly they were still soft! read more

We stopped here in the way home after a night out. I've always wanted to try it and finally got the chance. The people working were so super nice. I don't now why this place is so lowly rated. The cookies were really good too. They came out hot. And fast for us as well. I ordered 4 mega cookies and 6 assorted regular cookies. It was $29 total. read more

Their brownies are not made fresh. I saw the employee take it out of a box and she removed it from the plastic wrap. It tasted so stale. Never again! read more

It was fine. Nothing special and overpriced. I guess it's open late so that good, but otherwise pretty unremarkable

My brother and I went to this location after our early lunch on Friday, December 4 around 2-3p. This was our first time at Insomnia and we were excited to go because we love freshly baked cookies. We tried the chocolate chunk cookies and chocolate chip with M&Ms which were all delicious and the size of the cookies were wonderful. Also a tip is to sign up for their email list to get special promotions for packages and and or free cookies offers. We had nice service, fast & no line @ that time & I heard the other location is even better as well. read more

We decided to try this spot after eating at Uncle Bucks. It was empty, but somehow we still ended up waiting 10 minutes to be served. We were greeted, but barely. It seems that they were maybe doing online orders? Not sure. A lady came out from the back and started reorganizing the boxes for the cookies although they were already stacked neatly. We were still waiting and watching her as she did this. In my opinion, it could have waited until after she took care of us. Finally another lady took our order and checked us out. I didn't get friendly vibes. The cookies were pretty decent, but not worth returning for. The perk is that they are open late! read more

Insomnia Cookies - the outside of a restaurant - Desserts Near Me - Milwaukee, Wisconsin

Wouldn't recommend. The cookies were subpar to what you could get from Publix market or any local bakery or the snack isle at the local pick and save. When ordering delivery they shorted us two cookies. This wouldn't be a big deal if the cookies weren't 3$ a piece. Between the cookies not really tasting great and the poor service I wouldn't return read more

Insane the girls working there have a job. Complaining how tired they were then started hysterically laughing in the middle of my order. Then got snippy with me to pay when they were talking and ignoring me like I was supposed to know it was time to pay. My server was Izzy, suggestion for you. There are a million places to work, choose one that doesn't include customer service. Will never be back read more

In town for a show at Fiserv Forum and wanted something sweet afterward. Insomnia didn't disappoint. I love the concept of essentially "make your own" ice cream sandwich, especially with the cookie still being warm. If I'm ever in town again, I will definitely be back! read more

I've have gone twice, and both time I went it was amazing love the staff and the food!

Love the snickerdoodle with ice cream! The service is always quick & friendly! & it always clean & tidy!

I've had really great experiences here but today was one of the worst. We tried to stop by to grab some cookies for a pick me up...they would not allow In store orders. This was not advertised and they've been open throughout covid, so this was completely arbitrary. Absolutely ridiculous. read more

While I did happen to order Insomnia to go this time on Uber Eats, it never came. I also called the store multiple times and they hung up on me every time. I've been in the store before and it is quite unprofessional. Well, I'll miss those 12 chocolate chip cookies. Perhaps, next time they can redeem their self? Or shall we find a new insomnia? read more

Great food cookies are amazing. Service was wonderful made it a special. I will be ambiance to come back.

This location is AWFUL. Two hours for a 6 pack of gluten free cookies to be delivered .5 mile... and what arrived is not gluten free. Food allergies are not a joke but they don't care. No effort to make amends... which is probably for the best because I don't have another two hours. Spare yourself and do not give this location business. read more

After placing my delivery order online, I proceeded to have the most frustrating and awful experience imaginable. My order was placed at 8:45. It wasn't acknowledged by the restaurant until 9:15 and was not delivered until 11:15. Did they have to call in workers from their couches because they ACTUALLY received an order? This location doesn't even try. Hang 'em up and do something else with your time. The worst part is you can't call the location. You sit on hold for eternity. I SHOULDNT HAVE TO WAIT 20 MIN TO TALK TO SOMEONE AT YOUR RINKY DINK INSOMNIA FRANCHISE. Anyway, by the time they got to my hotel, I had brushed my teeth and turned off the TV. I told them to leave and refund me. Who knows if that will happen. F*%k this. read more

Really good cookies. I got chocolate chip, macadamia chocolate chip and double chocolate chip. Warm cookies and cold milk. Wonderful

The taste of the cookies and ice cream is worth 5 stars but the service is not good. Maybe it has improved since my visit a couple of months ago. Service was extremely slow, like painfully slow. I wanted to just leave and say forget it. read more

Why is this location even open??? They don't take cash or card depending on the day... Which is so random. Today is Sunday, I drove all the way downtown for some cookies and they were closed. Lights out. It was only a little after 3pm. Update the website since that's the first thing people go to for store hours. Waste of 20 minutes. It's getting warm and it's downtown! Lots of traffic and this place is missing the mark. Not a good look. read more

Hours online and on the message say they open at 11am , was there at 1145 locked up and dark, I understand that there is a shortage of workers right now but they should probably update hours then, wasted 45 minutes driving from the burbs. read more

This place is HORRIBLE. The girls working are on their phones the entire time and will tell you to wait so they can answer their personal cell phones for personal calls/gossip before they will take your order. They do not use gloves appropriately when scooping ice cream and are very rude to customers. I will NEVER go back. read more

I want to let you know how very disappointed I am with the company and my last order I placed an order for delivery at 730pm. I placed the order an hour earlier At 745 I called to check on the status and cancel, bc bed is at 8pm and I shouldn't be enjoying fresh cookies at that hour I was told the order is out the door (of note I live right above the store) Fifteen minutes later I called to say this order is still not here and I'd like to cancel She says, its on its way I tell her I don't believe it and I definitely am not going to experience any of the joy that a 30 dollars worth of cookie would have otherwise afforded me... now I'm just tired and frustrated and unhappy. She told me I would have to refuse the order to get my refund. and I just sent the poor delivery girl away. read more

First experience ordering from the Old World Third Street location. Ordered cookies at 10:39 and called at 11:31 as order status was still showing as still "baking" 52 minutes later. Woman who answered the phone was extremely rude and hung up on me after I asked to cancel the order. Called back and spoke with a man who said there were overwhelmed with orders and didn't have enough delivery drivers to handle the demand. Huh?? He also said there were not any updates or notes in the system on my order and my request to have it cancelled. So -take my money-don't deliver the cookies -and don't refund my money?!? Bring on Crumbl Cookies!! Can't wait until they are the cookie of choice in Milwaukee area and put you out of business. read more

Absolutely horrific. Would not accommodate walk in orders and even after placing an order for "pick up" they were saying it wasn't available even though it was supposed to be ready within 5 minutes and they said they had no record of our order and despite having enough to be ready for our order we're forced to being wait and wait and was bad customer service read more
