    Turkey, bacon and swiss
    Andy K.

Crusty I've made stops at Mid-Way numerous times but always for their donuts and other baked goods and have had their sandwiches on my todo for some time. I've been crushing recently on deli sandwiches so I made a break for lunch to try their turkey, bacon and swiss sandwich. The bread loaf itself is huge with a fantastic crust. Turkey and all the other fixings were heaped on as well. Definitely filling. I opted to order onsite vs online and it was served up rather quickly. Staff was friendly and the market hall is always clean. Of course I could not pass up the bakery too - I snagged one of their delicious apple fritters and peanut butter cookies for tomorrow snack! :)

The only place ready to open on time Saturday morning, but good coffee and doughnuts is all it took for me to be happy. Lots of good looking baked good that smelled enticing. If only one of the many establishments in this food hall can open on time in the morning, then let it be this one.

    Turkey hoagie. Great seeded bun.

I had the turkey hoagie on my first visit to Third Street Market Hall and afterwards I was craving this sandwich. Of course I've sensibly tried other vendors since then, but it's worth craving. It has a delicious seeded bun, lettuce tossed in vinaigrette before being added to get that perfect light vinegar zing, high quality meat and cheese, and tangy pickled peppers and onions. And it's a decent portion for the price. I was originally planning on getting something else on today's visit but I saw someone walking around with one of these and I had to get one. Today I also got a cup of broccoli cheese soup which came with a slice of different, but still delicious, bread and some butter. It was also good. I've tried the cookies and they're awesome. I've had my eye on the banana danish but haven't gotten it yet. I would say get a baked good if you have room when you're there. Now I'm thinking about the sandwich again. Seriously.

Don't let Mid-Way Bakery's seemingly "carnival-like" name fool you. Mid-Way is a legit premium bakery offering breads, cookies, bars, Croissants and more. I purchased plain Croissants and a Pecan Blondie bar to keep overnight for brunch the next day. Wow! The Croissants were still flaky crisp on the outside yet moist on the inside. One of the best Croissants that I've every had! The pecan blondie was very very rich and sweet. Too sweet? Maybe, but supremely delicious at the same time. Definitely check out Mid-Way Bakery at 3rd Street Food Hall for excellent fresh bakery!

Veggie hoagie and oatmeal cookie oat milk latte.

This was a great option to eat after a conference at the Baird Center. I always love a vegetarian option and fun drinks. The veggie hoagie was generous and filling. The oatmeal cookie oat milk latte was fun. Plenty of seating and atmosphere. I like that you can order through the app early, start a tan and use Apple Pay. Great people watching, place to hang out with friends or play games. Something for everyone. Need to come back for dessert!

Totally a super cool spot with great coffee amazing savory pastries and sweets. Buttery and flake croissants both classic and dark chocolate great chocolate chips cheese puffs and the cupcakes are amazing they are more icing than they are cup. Great food bars coffee cake and service.

Kale Cesar salad with grilled chicken and, unopened, my Broccoli cheddar soup (with bread and butter).

My first trip to Midway was with my partner as we explored the Market Hall - we had a vanilla cream puff that was magical - the sort where the cream was perfect and not oversweet (we're the people who have our own whipped cream canister because we don't like sugary whip). I thought, maybe it's a one off, ve sure to come back. So I went back the week of jury duty (15 min walk each way) and had a caramelized banana Danish. Also phenomenal. The dough was perfectly flaky, not too sticky or sweet, and that perfect cream on top. At this point, I've had two desserts on 2 different days... and I'm still on jury duty, so I head back and try their savory food. Their Kale Cesar salad was the perfect salty anchovy I was hoping for under a pile of finely shredded cheese - and they added the perfectly vinegar balance of pickled red onion (my favorite). I added grilled chicken, which did spike the cost from 9.99 to 14.99 - and I was okay with it given I wanted some dark leafy greens that tasted divine. I also ordered broccoli cheese soup, which hit the spot as a creamy balance. Their soup is a little thinner than other broccoli cheese soups I've had, but the addition of finely shredded carrot made it perfect - and I am not one who likes super thick cheese soups. So here I am, three visits deep and it's time to give a solid 5 stars. Definitely worth it for dessert alone, but if you aren't tempted by the other vendors, give Midways savory menu a try.

It's perfect for breakfast, it's perfect for dessert, it's perfect as a midnight snack. I once purchased a bag of chocolate dipped crullers that were really fresh and quite delicious, but it's that donut that keeps me going back. Staff can be slow at times. No one ever seems to be in a hurry to serve, but they are friendly.

They also offer a great variety in rolls and potato salad. On my first visit, I also got a couple of condiments from Boar's Head that I've never seen at the store, and they are very good. My husband tried the crawlers and he quickly became a fan. On my second visit, I placed an order online in advance, and also called to confirm my order but when I got there they didn't have my order, and they didn't know about me order either. Fortunately I was there early so they could fulfill the order very quickly. Overall, the service is OK. The store is clean and organized. Tip: Get there early, or you will be waiting in line that goes all the way out to the parking lot...even in winter!

I mean what kid wouldn't be excited for that? So many freshly-made options to choose from, and this one was a winner. Definitely a very sweet-treat, and worth splitting a handful of ways, but boy was it tasty! I also grabbed a latte for myself, which I always enjoy here. I will say however, I wish they had other milk options beyond oat and whole milk. I say this with no means to complain, but both of those milk are very 'heavy' so whenever something like skim or almond is available, that's a personal preference for sure. Love the community feel here, love the goodies, will return.

They had a variety of baked goods to choose from- we opted for the cinnamon roll and the seasonal danish. We also ordered a cappuccino and an americano. The baked goods we had were okay. We were disappointed they wouldn't heat up the cinnamon roll, the reason they gave us was because the frosting would run and be messy. So the cinnamon roll wasn't very enjoyable. I liked the filling on the seasonal danish but I asked for it heated up and it was served at room temp. The coffee was good- we both thought it was weak for our liking but it had good flavor. Also to note, this place is very family-friendly. When we were in, there were a lot of children and families enjoying the space. I would love to come back and try the monkey bread; they were sold out when we arrived this morning and we were told it's a top-seller.
