I don't get here that often and usually for just a hot beverage and pastry, which is exactly what I did today. It was 9am on a wednesday morning, and they were only a little busy. The place is nicely laid out, plenty of places to sit, big windows with lots of natural light, and clean. The few other tables of people were having quiet conversations. The staff that took my order was super friendly. I could tell that they had some form autism (i'm not a doctor), and I only mention this because I think it's exciting to see business that make accommodations for all individuals on the spectrum. I ordered a hot Chai Latte and a Chocolate Croissant. They were both excellent. The chai was the right amount of concentrate, temperature, and had some nice foam. They warmed up the croissant (I asked for a plate). It was flaky with the right amount of chocolate on top and inside. Everyone there seemed cheerful and pleasant. I don't have CBC where I live now, but I used to have it pretty often when I was growing up. Since my hotel breakfast was a low level grab and go, and I had just finished a hard run in the hotel gym, I decided to stop by. Even on a Saturday morning, it was rather quiet, not too many people around. I ordered the Anaheim scrambler with scrambled eggs, bacon, tomato, green onion, cheddar, and avocado. Excellent balance of flavors. I also got the yogurt and berry parfait for the road. It had a load of strawberries and blueberries along with crunchy granola and Greek yogurt. Date of service: August 21, 2025 I received an email inviting me to place another catering order and if I did within 30 days, I would receive free delivery. We had an upcoming meeting so this offer was perfect. However, there was no way to indicate this offer in the email I received, so I had to place the order with the fee and then send an email asking about this. I did receive a response advising that the fee was removed, just wish I did not have to put forth the extra effort. Fast-forward to delivery day, Ricardo the delivery driver called me to tell me he was on site. I asked him if was on the third floor as the address of my order indicated and he replied that he was outside. I directed him to the third floor per the Delivery Instructions. He was very polite and friendly, which was refreshing to see. The only issue was that he was about 10 minutes earlier than the entire delivery window, which added some stress to the meeting planning as I was expecting the food between 8 and 8:15, not 7:50. I had an exam coming up and came here almost everyday to study. The staff is always nice and very hardworking. The coffee is great and food is better than expected. I've only gotten sandwiches and soups but they're all great. For the vibe of the restaurant, I do think their prices are a little on the higher end. Not great but not the worst. Stopped by for a restaurant week deal for bogo entrees. As I don't come here much, I was hoping for a pick 2 to try a few things but we could only pick full entrees. The pasta dishes were okay but nothing remarkable. The chicken seemed odd, maybe boiled, and the toast was barely grilled. The staff were friendly and well meaning. You can sit outside now, which is awesome when the weather is nice; and you can track your rewards through their app. They have good breakfast options; ask for their menu if you don't see it on display. They have good breakfast & lunch options and their salsa is pre Suggestions for the business: 1) I didn't see any hand sanitizers; I carry mine but shouldn't businesses have them all over? 2) The tables outside are very popular, but they don't get cleaned in-between costumers much. 3) The cashier in the mornings could use a step stool to stand on. I ate lunch at Corner Bakery Cafe once right after they opened and wasn't super impressed, so I hadn't bothered to make it back. My current breakfast burrito craze, however, brought me here one recent morning to place a to go order. I ordered the bacon, egg, and cheese burrito (without the roasted tomato) and a strawberry and cream cheese danish. I thought the burrito was impressive. Every component, from the egg, to the cheese, the bacon, the spinach, and the tomato basil tortilla had multiple moments to shine while I was eating it. The grill marks were a tad dark on parts and affected the taste of the tortilla a little, but that's a minor complaint. The danish was fantastic. A little more strawberry inside would have been nice, but again, that's a minor complaint. Other than a couple of donuts that Cranky Al's has, I can't think of another pastry in the area that I'd rather have. I'm glad I tried Corner Bakery Cafe again and will more than likely be back. read more

Whenever I go to this Corner Bakery, The staff are super friendly. Food is always yummy. Good crowd of people. Bathrooms overall clean. Only downside is it's smaller so it tends to be busier during peak hours, so I wouldn't really recommend for studying unless you go at an off-peak hour! read more

Generally a very good bet. It can get very crowded on Sunday mornings so come early. If you had wanted a place to dine in or even take it away. The service has been fairly decent. Sometimes the younger staff at the ordering counter are a bit unfocused though. This challenged Asian lady is always pleasantly cleaning the tables and bringing your food out. She's great! Most of the staff is usually helpful, and pleasant enough. The breakfast items are very freshly made and good. On your purchases receipt if you desire, you can fill out their online survey of your experience. Then on your next purchase you can get $3.00 off with the four digit survey's code. I think their prices are fair and good. Although, just read that their parent co. filed for bankruptcy. Update June 30, 2024: Don't waste your time with these survey REWARD CODES offered afterwards from your printed receipts. This Wauwatosa store won't accept redeeming the free cookie (i.e. 8383). After explaining to them and their belligerent e-mail responses from their CBC management, they just don't care. Disappointing. Iced cinnamon latte and a Reece's PB chocolate bundt cake is what I ordered. This place reminds me on the look & layout, as well as overall business model of Panera Bread; HOWEVER, based just on what I had this is way better. Caveat being my sampling is narrow. The Bundt cake crumb was so tender, moist and everything cake should be. The flavor was decadent ! Happy new year! On this crazy 1st day of 2021 I was running some errands with my father and was trying to find a place to eat that was not super busy. We stopped at least at least four other restaurants that were so insanely packed clearly not abiding by any type of social distancing requirements. I had remembered about this place and said let's go check it out. I'm so glad we did. We stopped in around noon and it was not very busy at all plenty of space to find appropriate distancing seating. This is the type of restaurant where you order and then find your seat and they will bring you out your food. They had a great variety for their menu offering breakfast, lunch and dinner items. We both decided on the Anaheim scrambler which you can choose fruit or potatoes and is served with toast. I also needed to try a delicious cup of soup so I got the broccoli cheese. Usually I would give corner bakery a much higher rating, but after tonight's order I was incredibly disappointed! I ordered the pick two option with a chopped salad, which was delicious, and a half California Panini. I bit into the Panini and basically got bread and that was it. When I opened it up there was some spinach, a small amount of cheese, and literally two pieces of squash. Below is the picture of what I got compared to what is advertised on the website. There were no artichokes, zucchini, or tomatoes to be found anywhere on my sandwich! C'mon Corner Bakery... you didn't even put the ingredients on the bread itself! I was debating coming here versus just doing my usual cousins subs or Murfs grilled cheese thing. Probably should always go with my gut instincts... (Ha, get it, gut? (Where does the time go?). Approaching the entrance at the Mayfiar collection there's one of those vertical sign-banners that says "Chic" and that's how the place feels in a bakery/Panera sort of way. Dark wood, black and white stripes, etc. Inside... As someone else mentioned, it was a little confusing where to order (again, in a Panera sort of way), but I managed. I went with a half of the California Grill sandwich with a side of Mac n cheese. I settled into a little counter overlooking the outdoors (read: parking lot) and voila, my tray arrived. (An aside, whoever the women was who delivered and cleared plates at lunch, she was very friendly and totally on top of her game.). The sandwich was pretty good. Grilled veggies and cheese on whole grain bread. It was also sort of small. Had I been not out in public that puppy would've been gone in two bites. The cup of Mac n cheese was OK. It was the creamy kind with twisty noodles. I really am more of a baked Mac n cheese type girl. I like a nice compacted brick of those bloated and smashed elbow noodles with a cheese sauce that's not too runny, bordering on dry. This wasn't that kind, but to each his own. So the total for my 1/2 meatless sandwich and side and a small soda? $11.55. Sure they do throw in a pickle and chips but I'm a "frugal" person and try to keep things $5 or less if I don't bring a lunch. Approaching $12 seemed like a lot for fast-ish food. I finally got over to the Corner bakery to check them out for lunch today and I really was looking forward to my meal after hearing from a live person how good it is. The place was mobbed with people but they had four registers cranking out the customers which went faster than I thought. The place looked nice and clean and employees were cleaning as people left the tables. The place had way too much dark wood and bricks which made me feel like I was in mid evil times. The place as a whole seemed on the dim side and not very bright. There is a Coffey grinder on the counter for the fresh Coffey station with four options for the Coffey. The menu has breakfast offerings with soups, salads and sandwiches etc. I ordered the pesto chicken sandwich because it sounded good. The sandwich had nice fresh bread. I was a little disappointed because the white meat chicken was not a breast but shredded and broken pieces of chicken which mostly falls out of the sandwich that was just deli meat. The chicken was slightly seasoned and super moist and juicy which surprised me. The chicken actually had a good chicken flavor as I ate my sandwich and I realized all I could taste was the bread and chicken so I felt it needed something more and than I realized they forgot the pesto sauce as I looked closer at the sandwich, see my pictures of the total break down and tell me you see any pesto vinaigrette mayo on my sandwich because pesto is green. It might haven been a good sandwich if it was all there, see my pictures. For just over $9 you get an ice cold pickle and a bag of chips. I felt for the $9 mark the sandwich was a little weak in the taste and the size department compared to what $6.50 at the picnic basket gets you. Overall I would not be a regular customer after my first experience and my messed up sandwich defiantly factors into that. I don't mind paying $9 for a great sandwich but price vs value vs taste didn't impress me today because they have been open for a year now so screwing up this bad says a lot and when deli meats are the star of great sounding sandwiches and under deliver just doesn't do it for me. When you name a sandwich and leave out half of the named ingredient it just doesn't work very well. You're never supposed to go grocery shopping hungry, so we stopped here before our weekend trip to Meijer. We'd never been here before, but it's pretty much the same fast-casual style spot as a Panera (order, sit down and your food is brought to you etc). It was breakfast time so we went with the carved ham and swiss egg bowl, and the egg bacon and cheese croissant sandwich. The egg bowl was pretty good, but the sourdough it came with could have been a little more well-toasted. The croissant sandwich was amazing; crispy but soft with pretty perfectly cooked bacon. There are a lot of really good breakfast spots in this part of town, but if you need something decent and quick (and it's before 11 when they switch to lunch menus), Corner Bakery Cafe is definitely worth a try. read more

Stopped in for dinner after doing some browsing around the Mayfair Collection. It was pretty empty, probably because it's more of a breakfast/lunch spot. This location is a pretty cute set up. I'd liken it to Panera in the way they operate. They do a pick two/pick three option between salads, sandwiches, soups, or pastas. I tried one of their panini sandwiches, I thought it was a great size for a pick two and a good flavor. I also picked the pesto as my second option, and appreciated that as well. I think the value is there for the pricing. The employees were very friendly in our interactions as well, which is always appreciated especially in less service oriented places where you seat yourself. We ended up taking a muffin to go for the next morning, and I loved that blueberry muffin. The perfect mix of a little crunch and that dense moist consistency made my morning better! read more
