    Cold brew and Starburst smoothie
    Madeleine G.

Ordered the cold brew with splash of oat milk and a starburst smoothie to share. Starburst smoothie tasted magical, literally like a strawberry starburst candy but with wholesome/healthy ingredients. I liked the ice texture for the cold brew, had kind of a slushy feel. Good vibes and lots of natural light in the cafe.

Highly recommended and so glad I stopped in to Nona's! Welcoming before you even step foot in the store with chairs set up outside for enjoying your drink of choice but also so much to look at once you walk through the doors with the many environmentally friendly items for purchase, beyond their fun espresso drinks and smoothies. Modern vibe throughout, with plenty up seating both upstairs and down but upstairs offers a more quiet experience between the various seating nooks. I opted for an cold brew and cream, which was great. I am a huge fan of Anodyne coffee so this partnership between two local businesses is a win win for everyone. I have been a fan of sweet foams lately and would love to see this added to the menu (maybe it was an option if I had asked!). When I'm looking for a tasty option for smoothies and lattes, nona's will definitely be a place I return to in the future!

I was convinced by my son that we needed to try Nona during an early morning walk. He was right. This locally owned Elm Grove cafe offered the prefect refreshments after our walk. The owners seem to take careful strides in selecting products that live up to a clean lifestyle. They offer an abundance of supplements both for purchase, as well as additions to the numerous drinks on the menu. Today I went with a traditional iced latte. Its flavor delivered all the rich coffeeness I was looking for and for $5 was a great price. My son went with the starburst smoothie. I tried it and loved the flavor. I was picking up flavors like blue moon, but maybe that's just me. The decor is fresh, clean and very welcoming. The staff were very pleasant as well. No doubt this has made it on our rotation of locally owned cafes.

Group order: smoothies, latte and smoothie bowl!

I love Nona! I've been here a few times- sometimes going there with intentions, other times popping in on a whim while out on errands. I've tried a few smoothies so far the menu is so large and there are so many I want to try! They then make my choices even harder by adding seasonal options lol! You can also adjust or create your own which is really nice or request things like a thicker or thinner smoothie and how that might happen by adding item "x". I'm always super full from these protein packed smoothies and it's just such a nice treat! So happy to have a place like this close by.

The place is small, and nicely furnished, with some natural light coming through the front and rear entrances. The server was friendly and did a great job to answer my questions. (thanks Emily). This is not your typical coffee shop or cafe. There are some very interesting drinks and food items, that you will not find anywhere else. I typically get a hot Tea Latte (London Fog or Chai Latte), but they don't offer those. I was initially disappointed but I quickly got over it. I ended up getting the Creme Brulee Croissant, and a Ancient Brown Sugar Tea. Let's first talk about the Croissant, truly amazing. Like a Creme Brulee (which I love) it has a layer of caramelized sugar on top. The taste and texture was amazing. The Brown Sugar Tea, was very good, but very sweet. I skipped the boba part (tapioca pearls), but might try it next time. The place was quiet and cozy. Some other customers came in and were either working or having quiet conversations. Great environment to bring a book and read. I'll be back, and this time with a friend.

I enjoyed a NA mimosa, which if you didn't know, it looked (and tasted) just as good as an alcoholic mimosa. I enjoyed the hot honey chicken sandwich, it was largeeee, but very flavorful and satisfying. I especially loved the fries. Our wait staff was timely and kind and checked in frequently to inquire about drinks and satisfaction. It was majority of the groups first time at this restaurant, and I would personally be happy to return for a future brunch outing!

Service was attentive and the food came out fast -- both things you want on a Sunday morning when you're still in your church clothes and not quite ready to commit to a long sit. I skipped the coffee and went with the pink juice. It leaned more tart than sweet, which I did not mind, and it was genuinely pretty in the glass -- but at $9, I found myself doing the math. The menu did not specify the size, though I am guessing it was an 8 oz pour, and it came fairly full of ice. Refreshing, yes. Repeatable at that price, I am not sure. For food, I had the classic breakfast -- two eggs over easy, sourdough toast, and roasted potatoes. Simple and exactly what I was in the mood for. Hubby went with the brioche breakfast sandwich: scrambled eggs, cheddar, thick-cut bacon, and chipotle aioli on toasted brioche, with hash browns on the side. He was happy with it. The menu has a lot of options, and there are plenty of ways to upgrade or customize, though most come with an added cost. You can swap your side to fresh fruit or a salad for $1 more, which is a reasonable upcharge if that is what you are after. Worth knowing if you are going with a larger group on the weekend: no split checks on Saturdays or Sundays for parties of 6 or more. The weather cooperated and all the windows and patio doors were open. Plenty of patio seating was available when we arrived, which made the whole experience feel a little more relaxed. A solid Sunday morning stop.

It can be ordered hot or cold and I chose hot. It was fantastic and better than most restaurants I've ever been for this sandwich. Layers of boars head corned beef with finely shredded cabbage, sauerkraut with just the right amount of cheese, and thousand Island dressing. The freshly made marble rye really hit perfectly. I love how they still sample their bread of the day slices with or without butter. The fresh focaccia is like a pillow of bread goodness! And their multigrain seeded breads are second to none. Highly recommend this place for any of your bakery or lunch places!

There were lots of great food choices, including breakfast egg sandwiches, lunch sandwiches, soups, cookies, muffins, and other pastries. I decided on a Turtle Scone, and it was excellent. It had a great texture, was a good size, and had yummy chocolate frosting. The beverage selection was disappointing. There were only a couple of hot coffee choices, and some tea bags. No specialty drinks or lattes like some of their other locations offer. I ended up having water, which just isn't the way to enjoy a scone. Service: The person taking my order was efficient, but not especially friendly. When I commented on the limited hot-drink options, I got a shrug and silence. There didn't seem to be much interest or empathy. Atmosphere: The place is nicely laid out, and the menu board is easy to read. The pastries and cookies are displayed up front, making it easy to choose. There are several small tables where you can eat your selection, but the space seems designed more for takeout customers. I'd come back to pick up something to take home, but not really to dine in.
