I was in the area around dinner time and knew Lee's Dairy Treat is a place I hadn't been to yet. I stopped and ordered a plain cheeseburger and, since it was the season, a medium pumpkin shake. I feel like I got good value for my money with the pumpkin shake. It tasted exactly like it should and it was a good size. They have other ice cream options I'd like to try as well, but I'd be up for getting a shake from them again. The cheeseburger, on the other hand, I would never get again. The burger patty was gas station quality and instead of a slice of cheese, it had a lumpy looking cheese sauce on it. Certainly not worth what I paid for it quality wise.

Peanut butter flavor burst

Stopped to try the soft serve with flavor burst tonight. Flavors can added to vanilla soft serve. I believe there were 8 flavor options and I tried the peanut butter. It came out a little melty looking that the ad photos but was still tasty. A perfect treat for a late evening treat. Only sort of weird thing is they take your order and bring out items as they're made but don't collect payment until they hand you the last thing. Works just fine if everyone is there waiting with you but can be a little trickier if you're holding multiple cones etc and you didn't think to pull out cash/card ahead of time.

Always such a fun place and tasty treats! Order outside and then sit and enjoy your ice cream and food!

Solid ice cream stop in the neighborhood. Lee's is a great place to visit with family or friends. Parking lot is small and there is not a ton of seating, but everyone was enjoying themselves and I thought the prices were fair! The young woman who took my order was very sweet. So glad to have locally owned businesses like this one still around and thriving!

Excellent mint & vanilla swirl.

This place reminds me of the old Tasty-Freeze ice cream spots. It's all soft serve with daily vanilla and chocolate and one variety flavor. The mint is excellent and reminiscent of the old Crème de menthe ice cream served at many Wisconsin supper clubs. They have the dip top cones and sprinkle coated ones as well. Food wise, there are hot dogs, sloppy Joe, hamburgers and the usual stuff you'd expect from a spot like this. I must say It's all pretty good, though. They have some picnic tables set up out front which are fun. I'm really happy to see this place going season after season. I used to like to talk football with the owner Lee. He's gone from here now, but his daughter is keeping this experience alive and well. Hopefully for many generations to come.

If you're looking for a place that's down to earth and hits the spot while taking a trip down to memory lane then this is the place for you. The service and staff were excellent. The place itself is small, but very homey... and somewhat old schoolish. We ordered a banana split, a Large cherry dipped cone, some nachos and a chili cheese hot dog. Everything was delicious! We'll be back soon! :)

Totally hole in the wall dive restaurant. It's truly a drive up and park your car then order at a window type place. There is very limited seating inside == about 5 or so. 3 picnic table and several benches for outdoor seating. Only drawback is that people do bring their pets and will scare off several of the other patrons. Food is is okay at best. But otherwise the ice cream is great.

What a creative menu display

Very filling and fresh tasting burger and their ice cream sundaes were reasonably priced for how much you get.

Lee's Dairy Treat has that feeling of a classic ice cream stand! Reminded me of ice cream cones during the summer as a kid. They do classic soft serve, malts, and sundaes, but they also do hot food! Burgers, dogs, pretzels, and others. We got a chocolate dipped chocolate ice cream cone and some raspberry variations. They were all good! Our friends got the "holie molie" sundae which is basically a Heath bar in a cup. The staff were very nice! If you want a nice place to take the kids on a summer day, stop by!

I have driven past here so many times and I never stopped before so today I did a U turn and stopped. It was already after 1pm and I still had some running around to do so it was about lunch time and I thought that these cold treat places usually have the low quality chili dogs which I kind of could go for and I'm right there. I wanted a little something but not a full lunch, fast and do just a hit and run so I could keep going. Everyone around me was doing cold treats but that would have to wait for another visit. While my order was being made I could hear the microwave noises so I knew my super average chili dog was getting made. The chili dog looked pathetic and just what I imagined getting so they didn't let me down. The dog was one of the cheap ones and not the 100% all beef with the snappy casing i.e. no Vienna here. The chili was mild and didn't taste like it came from a can which was very tight and all meat. The bun was your fresh standard white version and did the trick. Overall was it the best chili dog, not at all but it was exactly what I expected from a dairy treat place and just what I wanted in the spur of the moment.

First went to Oscars decades ago. I don't often get back, but I'm glad I made time when I was in…read morethe area. Food: I think the custard here is excellent. It's creamy, flavorful, and they give you a good portion. For the month of February, they had a special, "Cupid's Creation." Lots of yummy additions that give it amazing flavor and texture. It was larger than something I would normally eat, but it was oh so good. My friend had the vanilla malt, and he enjoyed that. FYI, my past experiences with some of the other cooked food items have not been stellar, so I only get ice cream confections when I'm there. Service: Friendly and helpful service from the person who took our order. Our ice cream desserts came out in short order. Atmosphere: The Red Barn exterior is cute and inviting. Love the cone-shaped sign out front. Inside is spacious, well lit, and clean. There are plenty of tables inside, along with tables at the front that have large windows that bring in natural light. Definitely a place that I would recommend for their ice cream!

For years Kopp's has been my go-to, but Oscar's has quickly won me over -- it's now my favorite frozen custard shop in the city. The texture is what sets it apart: dense, thick, and creamy, exactly how custard should be. Their flavors of the day change daily, and the website makes it easy to check ahead. I usually get a three-scoop dish, and Oscar's is also the best value of the big three -- $4.15 compared to $6.00 at Kopp's and $7.25 at Gilles. A neat tip: you can order a cone with your custard and ask for it in a dish -- they'll place the cone on top so you get the best of both worlds without the mess. They also serve burgers and fries, and I tried a hamburger once. While decent, I still prefer the burgers at Kopp's, so Oscar's will remain my go-to spot for a frozen custard fix. The West Allis location has plenty of parking and indoor seating. Service is fast and the staff are always super friendly. Between the price, texture, and flavor variety, Oscar's has become my top custard stop in Milwaukee. Highly recommended.

In front is a sunken tree garden that must be a neat place to enjoy your food when the weather is nice. It's very shaded and has nice benches and a relaxing vibe to it. It's also the only place that I saw to sit down and enjoy your food. Inside the building is quite large but only has about 4 tables to stand next to without any seats. I think most people either go eat the food in their car or take it home. I ordered 2 scoops of their frozen soft serve custard. The flavored scoops were vanilla and turtle pecan. It cost $5 and change which was a real value too. I stood in a short line and had my dessert in less than 5 minutes. They have several lines to stand in to serve the many customers who come here. The vanilla scoop was rich and delicious. The turtle pecan scoop rocked my world! It had many half pecans in it and the custard was perfect in a buttery like taste that made me what to order another serving but in the interest of my waistline I decided not to. This custard impressed me. They also serve burgers, hot dogs, etc. too and I am sure it's all good here. This is a big operation that serves many people. I counted somewhere between 15-20 people working there all dressed in their white uniforms behind the counter. I wish we had a Kopp's where I live!

Having tried them for the first time, I have to say, I can completely understand why they would say that, even without prior knowledge. I could definitely see the potential from the first bite of the burger. Patties were cooked right and gave me pleasant feeling of decent bite, except for being a bit bland. Buns definitely did not add anything to the totality of the burger, staying consistent with what everyone says. Made me wonder what kind of buns they used to use that made it better. Did not care for the soggy, green leafy part of lettuce they shoved into it. Like a normal person, I prefer a bit of crunch in my burger lettuce, but it did nothing but take away from the experience. I was sold on the idea of fried onions, but my onions didn't look or feel fried. Maybe my expectations were different on what fried onions meant? I was imagining deep fried battered onions, but maybe what I got was non-battered fried onions. Either way, it didn't leave any impression. I think I also made the mistake of asking for ketchup and mustard without specifically asking just how much. My burger ended up being too sour due to too much of both. I think I read on their website somewhere that I was supposed to be able to taste the specialness of their Wisconsin cheese, but everything else about the burger was so overpowering that I barely could tell if there was any cheese at all. Fries were SUPER soggy from the get go. I *only* brought the bad outside to open it immediately after grabbing them, so it wasn't like they stayed in the bag long enough to get soggy. Now.. having said all that. Custards were amazing! Definitely at the top of my list of frozen custards I've had thus far. The girl at the counter had me try both the daily specials and both were super good. So good that I'll probably drive my girls an hour out here just to buy them custards, especially as it gets warmer. If it were just for burgers and fries, I might have given them two stars. But since the name of the institution is Kopp's Frozen Custard, I'm more inclined to be a bit forgiving.. I had them at 3 stars originally, but I think I'll bump it up to 4, landing them personally at 3.5.

I saw a picture of their breakfast burrito on social media and made plans to stop the next day. In addition to the breakfast burrito, which came with a side of hash browns, I ordered cheddar broccoli soup and was gifted a brownie for visiting. The breakfast burrito is build your own with a bunch of different options for meats, cheese, and veggies. I went with bacon, American cheese, and spinach and wasn't disappointed. The burrito was hefty and every one of the ingredients stood out. This is something I would definitely come back for. The three hash brown patties tasted as you'd expect and I appreciate that they weren't cold in the middle or bland. You can definitely notice the freshness in the soup. It was thick and used actual florets of broccoli, not just the stalks. Given the size of the burrito I had just eaten, though, I wish there was an option for a smaller portion of soup. The bowl was large and if you just plan on having that as a meal it's fine, but I would have preferred buying a cup as compared to a large bowl. Hopefully that's something they consider as a menu tweak. I'm not a big brownie person, but I enjoyed it. Like the burrito and the soup, it was a sizable portion, so worth the price if you're buying one. I'd be interested in trying their lemon bar or coffee cake on a future visit as those are more up my alley. I enjoyed talking to the woman who was prepping the dining area while I was there. She mentioned that Senor Luna's next door is their sister location and that Miss Daisy's has such early hours (currently 5am during the week) so as to cater to the nearby business park. I appreciate the early hours because I can easily make it there and back over to where I work in plenty of time.
