They forgot all our sauces which isn't a huge deal. Just annoying more than anything. Chicken sandwich was good but the bacon jam fried rice just looked like white rice with bacon and slightly sautéed veggies thrown in. Very underwhelming. Tenders and fries were delicious though. As well as the biscuits I could've eaten 20. We ordered pick up so I'd recommend probably dining in. I had the two piece fried chicken which was recommended by the waiter. It did not disappoint. The chicken was moist with a perfectly seasoned crust. I had a side of Mac n cheese which was superb. We visited Goodfolks for lunch on a Thursday. It was pretty busy for a weekday. We were seated upstairs on the balcony, at the very end. It took awhile for the waitress to see us. She was friendly. Took awhile to get our drinks (just tea, as we were all working). When she brought the drinks, we were all ready to order. But she dropped them off and said she would be back. Probably another 10 min she came back to take our order. Another 10 minutes to get drinks re-filled. This is Texas... get rid of the tiny mason jar glasses for ided-tea. The food was OK. I had the fried chicken. The pieces were tiny and it only came with one side. Kinda pricey compared to other chicken places in the area. The others at the table enjoyed their meals. Although one of the burgers was way over done. I doubt we will return for lunch. Kinda pricey to leave still hungry. The place is new and I am sure we will try again for dinner sometime. The service is too slow for working lunch crowd right now. Hopefull, it will improve over time. read more

You can tell they use quality ingredients. It does reflect in the prices though. I've tried the chicken and burger. The chicken has some unique spice I can't pinpoint. I liked it but my husband didn't. It's very a very subjective. Nice decor. But I'm not a fan of the tiny glasses. read more

Not really impressed. We went early after a graduation on a Friday with a party of 8. The decor was nice and homey and while the service was okay it was not even average for a place like this. I think everyone tried something different so we had a variety of everything on the menu. The Nashville hot chicken sandwich was not spicy and the bun was stale. The fries were a bit greasy. The chicken and waffles was a bit of the same with stale tasting waffles and under seasoned chicken. Overall i was a bit disappointed and probably will not go back. read more

We absolutely love this place! The food is always incredible, and they have some of the best fried chicken I've ever tasted. Brunch is excellent too. We always have wonderful service from the staff. We ate at the bar last Friday and the bartender gave us great cocktail and food recommendations. I highly recommend the buffalo chicken gnocchi, it's my personal favorite on the menu. While they are usually busy, the staff does their best to seat you in a timely manner. This is one of our favorite places to eat on the square in Georgetown. read more

Ambiance was nice and my salad was good, but the FIRST THING we noticed was that it was SO COLD inside. When we were seated the gentlemen next to us saw our faces, nodded and said, "It's cold in here!" We moved to another table to get away from the AC vent. Several other customers looked chilled and were looking up at the AC vents. A man we assumed to be a manager came by; we mentioned it was a bit cold. He smiled and replied that some people like it cold. It's hot outside. And besides, he said he could handle it because he was wearing a suit coat so he was fine. He did not acknowledge our discomfort or make any attempt to warm it up even a little. I will not return here to eat or recommend it to anyone else. It was too uncomfortable to enjoy. Management was uncaring. And actually, the service was slow considering it was not crowded at all. I can't believe I am saying this but the Texas heat felt good when we left. read more

We heard the baby crying down below, the big group gathered next to us, but I couldn't hear our own conversation or the waiter. We were having dinner in Austin that night- but needed a light lunch/ heavy snack so we hit up GoodFolks. We shared an 9 piece chicken tenders meal with good slaw and potato salad and added some starters, biscuits, brussel sprouts and pimento cheese. It was the perfect amount of food for 6 of us. It was all great- the starters especially. The only thing I would not get again is the "sweet tea". When I think of sweet tea it's full of sugar and hardly tastes like tea. One friend ordered hers half sweet and half unsweet and I ordered sweet. When I asked if I had the right one, she said, we don't have sweet tea, we just add some of our simple syrup to our tea and I added more in yours. It is a far cry from sweet tea. Half of those that ordered the lavender lemonade liked it and the other half not so much. But I would definitely visit again if in the area. read more

My friend and I used to frequent University Burgers whenever we were in Georgetown, so we wanted to try Good Folks. The staff was very courteous and our server was pleasant and gladly honored our every request. All of the staff seemed to be really sweet and took pride in their work. We both ordered their classic burger. We were very disappointed that were really dry and without flavor. The bun was good, but doesnt everyone want a nice juicy burger? My friend also ordered their coleslaw, but it had an off flavor and needed salt and pepper. The price wouldnt have been bad IF it would have been tasty.
