I've never felt the need to leave a comment like this at anyones establishment but the amount of disrespect I've just felt here was disgusting. Food was good. Service was terrible and the server just kept walking past me as if she didn't notice me multiple times showed me exactly what I needed to know read more

Awesome! Well done folks!!!! Great food n atmosphere on our list of must do again thx

You guys, this place is adorable & a wonderful addition to the Georgetown square. The chicken is delicious, also, if you're into brussels sprouts, the appetizer is so good. My kids LOVE their fries. Also worth mentioning is that they use fresh lime juice in their margaritas... I'm a margarita snob, and these do not disappoint! read more

We love coming to Goodfolks for dinner! Both times we've come in for dinner, Julia has been our server. She is so friendly, attentive, hard working, knowledgeable about the menu, happy to answer all our questions--the service she delivers is just impeccable. Julia is extremely personable, professional and she really goes above and beyond as a server, which isn't something you see a lot at restaurants nowadays. It was impressive, too, because the entire downstairs dining room was filled up and it looked to us like the vast majority of the tables were being cared for by Julia. We observed her moving swiftly from table to table, checking in on every guest in the restaurant, refilling water, clearing plates out of the way and just always going the extra mile that distinguishes excellent customer service from being just plain "ok." Julia literally never missed a beat! She delivered our rather complicated food order 100% accurately and at perfectly timed intervals (ensuring our apps/soup came out first), and not once did Julia let the sheer number of tables she was in charge of affect the quality of the service she provided. We hope Goodfolks knows how lucky they are to have such a hard working, skilled sever on their staff. We'll for sure be back for the yummy food and fantastic service. Cheers! read more

Cute restaurant in Georgetown. Great vibe, trendy spot, good service. The fried pickles were tasty, the "good dog's"appetizer was delicious. The fried chicken was good, not great. We enjoyed our meal and would return if ever in Georgetown. read more

Food was amazing, had the blueberry cheesecake pancake and maple grits (OMG) I could have eaten just the grits and been a happy person. Everything I saw coming of the kitchen just looked amazing. Great spot on the square to have brunch. read more

The service here is really amazing!! The food is delicious (seriously try the fried pickles, omg)! The accessibility of the building leaves quite a bit to be desired and the pricing is definitely on the higher end, especially for the type of foods they offer. read more

This restaurant is so good. Wonderful food, impeccable service, lovely & relaxing atmosphere. I take any opportunity to go there!

This place was great for Sunday brunch. The service was extraordinary. David B . our waiter and he couldn't have been nicer or efficient. We will be back. read more

I believe this place is mediocre compared to some of the chicken places I have been too. The chicken tenders are not jumbo they are about the size of canes so when ordering keep that in mind. Macaroni is delicious, chicken is average nothing to rave over. Chicken biscuits soup has little to no flavor, too much heavy cream or milk and very little seasoning, very bland. Salad comes already tossed in dressing so lettuce was soggy, lemonade was good not to sweet not to sour. Over all this place is definitely a 5 out of 10, very average but definitely a cute ambience. Probably wouldn't return, but not upset we went for the experience. read more

The food at this place is fantastic, and the staff is wonderful. Sofia, our waitress, provided excellent service. We started with chips and queso as an appetizer, but the chips were soggy. After we mentioned it, they promptly brought us fresh, warm chips, which were delicious. The chicken fried steak was the highlight for me, and my kids really enjoyed their chicken tenders. My husband opted for the southern comfort burger, which he loved. Everything we ordered was delicious. I was so engrossed in enjoying the meal that I forgot to take any pictures read more

I was a regular for a while and stopped going because I was busy and did not go out to eat. My review is not a criticism. I reserve five stars for exceptional, and four stars for a good restaurant. The menu is good. It could probably be improved, but is fine given the price point. The bar is good. Again, good, but not exceptional. The staff is very good or perhaps a little better. It is a pleasant place to go. It is clearly liked by many people. It is busy at the right times. I imagine the owner or owners are doing well. It is probably the best sit down restaurant on the square, though there is a hole in the wall Mexican place that I also like given the prices and staff. read more

It was my first time visiting this restaurant. Upon first impressions, I liked the modern and clean interior design of the restaurant. The wait staff were friendly and had great customer service. During lunch there was a happy hour of half off appetizers, so we ordered the honey sriracha brussel sprouts. It was a little spicy but the brussel sprouts were cooked just right. The chicken and waffles was not too sweet even with the syrup. I just wished the tenders were a bit flatter so it was easier to cut when eating it with the waffles. The menu was not huge which made it easier to choose what you wanted to eat. Overall a cute little place to visit while visiting the square in Georgetown. read more

Good food, very loud inside but the service was good despite the crowd. I would recommend the bacon jam shrimp pasta to anyone!

This establishment is clean with welcoming and nice staff. Everything I tried was really good and fresh. The Goodfolks salad was excellent with a good blend of flavors. read more

Poor food and cocktails. Unprofessional server and floor manager. Floor manager's response to our comments was what do you expect

I ate here 2x in 2 days!! Loved the Fried Chicken Salad and peanut butter pie on Day 1. I had the lavender lemonade, which was a great NA option for lunch. Went back for brunch the next day and had Grandma's... divine! It's like a Croque Madame, served with crispy thick fries. Get the Good Sauce! They have like 4 types of mimosas and I requested a blend of apple-cranberry, it was the prettiest rosé color and just the way I like 98% champagne with just a splash of juice. Service was prompt and the space is clean and gorgeous. Tried bites of my friends' items at brunch and they were fantastic. Don't ever skip dessert here!!! read more

3/14/23 - party of 4 After eating at several establishments around the Square, it was now time to try Goodfolks. Wait was to be 20 minutes, but after 8 minutes we were seated. ( always nice to be called early) Ambiance is nice , we were seated upstairs. (There's and elevator AND bathrooms upstairs) Drinks: Happy hour :-) , but we all felt the drinks were weak. Starters: Appetizers - Brussel sprouts Amazing , ( definitely order this appetizer) and Andouille Lollipops were delicious. Dinner: Most Entrées, are in the $16-$20 range. 1:Chicken & Waffles GOOD syrup was really good. 2:Chicken strips were of generous size. 3: Andouille & shrimp was tasty. 4: wife hade the catfish App and fries and liked it. The catfish was gently fried. Our waitress was Natalie who was attentive and did a wonderful job insuring we had a great experience. Final Thoughts: Over all a nice establishment. In our discussions afterwards, we all came to the conclusion , that although a bit pricey, ( even a hamburger is 16.00) the VALUE was definitely there. We will be back. read more

Food and service was great! Underrated lunch spot in the square. Enjoyed the sliders!

Great food - fun decor - excellent service. Went for a date night and then again for a family brunch - both were great experiences. The chicken tenders are fantastic, the lavender lemonade is an excellent bar choice, husband had a burger that was really tasty, but the addition of pimento cheese made it really messy and hard to hold. Nonetheless - we will return. Place is a but small and gets crowded - suggest you call for reservations - even the same day...they are good about getting you on the list! read more

Pricey... paying for the beautiful atmosphere! Food was just mediocre. Won't be back anytime soon!

We are visiting from out of town and tried this place out because it was close to our hotel and pictures looked good on Yelp. Pros: the customer service was great. Our waitress was sweet, patient with us, and when we had a few things missing from our order or request, she was very attentive. The ambiance was cute. The food was yummy I'm just still trying to figure out if I would ever go back because the price tag. I got the 3 tender meal which came with a side and a biscuit and total it was $21. I personally felt like it was a fancy version of a Canes meal and while it was good, not sure if it was worth the money. I think maybe I would go back for a celebration of some sort. The wait for the food was quite long but I'm not sure if that's because they make it fresh? For sauces the "good sauce" is tasty. The waitress compared it to canes sauce and I think it was pretty close to it. I'd skip the honey mustard -- it was bad. Mac and cheese was delicious and the biscuit was decent. Overall good experience and if money isn't a huge concern I think it's worth the try! read more

Great food, excellent service and management were all great last night. Their fryer was not working properly and it took a long time for our food. We never complained. They provided us with 3 delicious appetizers (chip and queso, fried pickles and biscuits) while we waited for our food! Highly recommend this place! read more

Food was wonderful. Great service. We would give five stars but menu was pricey. Touches that made the experience even better: drinking glasses were vintage looking and the cutlery was heavy (clean & not flimsy). The place was packed and atmosphere upbeat. We will go back again. read more

Anyone not giving this place a five star review will never be happy with anything in life. This place is impeccable. My boyfriend is from the Deep South and a chef and so is his mother. They have owned many restaurants as well as Bed and breakfasts. I am northern Italian. My cousins owned restaurants up north. I worked in catering for years. This is by far the cleanest restaurant I've ever sat in. Staff was impeccable. Food off the chain. Fresh fast friendly an absolute remarkable experience. This is our new go to. Thank you good folks y'all are the best! read more

Such a nice cool place. Great quick service. We had very good sweet potato fries poutine and bacon sausage lollipops. Salad. Crispy chicken sandwich, fried chicken waffles and pasta with shrimps. All very very tasty. They even had one of my favorites white wine la cremma. It is a corner restaurant, all new and very clean inside, even have elevator if you can't walk the stairs. Parking is on the street but we found spot around the block with no problem. All in all very good experience. Would come back in a heartbeat. read more

Let me start out and say our server Christian was FANTASTIC! !!!!! No issues at all with the service. The decor is also great. A nice clean down-home feel. We ordered the Biscuits n Honey butter. The biscuits were a bit over cooked and not soft. We also had the Chicken n Biscuits Soup. That was tremendous. For dinner we had the two piece chicken strip and also the Chickenand Waffles The chicken was great on both dishes, but the waffles were very soft and soggy. We would come back again to try other items. Again, a shout out to Christian, who was an awesome server. read more

Me and a friend visited for breakfast today. I have been to Goodfolks for lunch but never breakfast. Overall, the breakfast is not good in my opinion based on today's experience. First off, they could not (or more likely would not) do an egg white only option for their classic breakfast. Both myself and friend ordered the classic breakfast....and we both agreed on the following about the food: 1. The eggs were flavorless, no seasoning no real fluffiness, overdone. 2. The hashbrowns were flavorless...no seasoning, no browning on the hash, basically tasted like a blanched potato that had been julienned. 3. The bacon was pretty flavorless as well. 4. The toast was not really toast but warmed up bread that did not even come with butter. The strawberry jam (which was pre-packaged) was good however. Overall, I would expect more effort and care for a $12 breakfast. read more

This place is delicious AND charming! The atmosphere is bright and clean. The food is delicious! I'm working my way down the menu but I'd have to recommend the chicken and truffle mac n' cheese. The salmon is also delicious and I have yet to see left over shrimp étouffée on the plate. We've been with family and on a double date. It works for both! Try it! read more

First time going I made a reservation for 11:30 am. When we arrived, it took about 10-15 minutes for the host to find us a table. Unfortunately, it was the worst table in the restaurant--in the very back, by the kitchen, with high foot traffic, and loud. But the food and service were great! The biscuits are a must. read more

I really wanted to like this place but it just didn't make the cut. Everything started off good. We were sat pretty quickly for a party of 5. We got our drinks and appetizers pretty quickly and they were all good. Except the catfish was a little bland. It would've been better with maybe a little cajun seasoning. So after appetizers we sat and waited for food for about 45 mins. We were the only ones in this place at one point but they did get a little busy, but every table around us got their food and we were still sitting food less. So I got impatient and asked the waitress what was taking so long because everyone around us was eating and we had been there the longest. Grant it we didn't do any special orders we ordered fried chicken, mashed potatoes and the mac and cheese. And I sat and watched other tables get that very thing. The waitress went away for a few mins and came and back and stated there was a mix up in the system. Not sure what the mix up could be because everyone was eating but my table. I assumed she forgot to put our ticket in. That's the only thing that made sense to me. She brought over some dry and burnt biscuits and apologized. But still no food. 5-7 mins goes by and the manager (I assume) comes by and asks us how was everything and I had to let her know that we haven't received food and had been sitting for 45 mins. She apologized and asked if we needed anything while we wait. We were all just hungry and wanted what we ordered at that point. Another 15 mins goes by and our food finally comes and it is BURNT!! So burnt not even edible. We picked at the food but it definitely wasn't enjoyable. The manager ended up comping the food. Which I am thankful for because this was just all around unacceptable... I really wanted to like this place but I probably won't be back here. read more
