MUST visit. Food is flavorful, fried chicken is amazing. I had the gluten free the family had the regular and everybody was vocal about the juicy and well seasoned chicken. The biscuits are out of this world and the three sauces are explode with flavor. We can't wait to go back and try the rest of the brunch menu. This is by far the best foodie place we have found in the Austin metro market. Please become a patron and enjoy the bursts of flavor and the amazing combinations. read more

Food is great but service has been consistently bad each time we've been. This place could really be awesome considering how cute it is. There either needs to be more waitstaff or the current staff needs to be replaced. Long waits for your order to be taken, drinks, and refills. read more

Overrated and overpriced alcohol, food is mediocre, service marginal. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place, there are better places in the square! BTW, I asked for a shot of tequila and was unaware I was given a $30 single shot, not even a courtesy heads-up!!! read more

This place is amazing! Literally the best salmon I've ever had and the Brussels sprouts are a HITTER. read more

Horrible service and mediocre food. Waste of a time. We even gave them 3 chances. I wish we had something nice to say about this restaurant.

Decided to try Goodfolks for the first time this evening. The food was good, the service was excellent, and the people were friendly! If you want some good old fashioned home style comfort food this is a spot for you! We had chicken tenders, fresh biscuits, french fries, and coleslaw. Also had an Old Fashioned! Everything was great! Will definitely bring friends and family here on another occasion! read more

yum. Everything was so tasty. Went with my bf and was sat next to a large family with lots of small children. Jared was our server and had great suggestions off the menu. Our waters were kept full the whole time and we got there in time for the great happy hour on drinks and appetizers. Would definitely recommend this place for happy hour. We had the brussel sprouts and the fried catfish for apps. We had the buffalo chicken gnocchi, the chicken tender basket with the truffle Mac and cheese (outstanding). The sauces for dipping were delicious and probably made in house. Thank you Jared for the great suggestions and great service! read more

Great southern food. Service is friendly and professional. Family friendly for kids!!

I was excited to try this recent addition to the Georgetown Downtown Square. However, they just opened and it shows. The service is slow and inattentive. I got my food quickly after I finally ordered which is never a good sign. The fried chicken was decent but only slightly warm. Luckily, the macaroni and cheese was excellent and the proper temperature. The restaurant is beautiful but the acoustics are terrible and it's very loud. I will likely return and give it one more shot before making up my mind on this eatery. read more

I've been here several times and have never had a bad meal! I especially love their buffalo chicken gnocchi. The waitstaff is always sweet and thorough and the ambiance is adorable too! The space and the staff have also always been accommodating about our stroller and I really appreciate that! read more

Was very surprised that, for the most part, this is now an all chicken restaurant. Never heard of such a thing. I ordered corn chowder which was watery, no substance. As watery as chicken soup. Very disappointing. We have enjoyed the place in the past. Short on help. Service not good. Sorry. read more

Love this place and try the service. The atmosphere was equally cool. We will definitely be back, every day the rest of our lives.

We enjoyed our lunch today at Goodfolks. They were...good folks. Friendly service, good food, great atmosphere, and most importantly we felt welcomed. The salad was fresh. The honey butter biscuits were delicious. If you like Brussels sprouts, the honey sriracha Brussels sprouts are exactly sriracha want (sorry). My kids both found something they liked on the kids menu. I liked the chicken sandwich but would have preferred it didn't have cheese on it - just my preference. Support Goodfolks in Georgetown! We need more places like this one. read more

The food is fancy variations on fried chicken. They do it well. Our waitress was fine although our waters were never filled. It's a cool layout and the decor is nice. If they're going to charge a 3% "Restaurant Fee" the restaurant should be air conditioned. We were uncomfortable the entire time. read more

We just visited for a second time. This place has been great! The chicken salad was great, but the spicy artichokes were legit!! The upstairs bar seating is a little small (and can get a little warm), but the staff was all very nice; overall a great experience! I'll be back for sure! read more

The service was not great. Our waitress spoke few words if at all when talking to us. Additionally, she never asked how our meal were. The food was unpleasant. We ordered the sharpshooter salad, patty melt, chicken tenders, and Cesar salad. The chicken was extremely salty, sandwich was bland, and overall the meal was just ok. Our drinks only got one refill in the span of an hour, and we were waiting at least 10 minutes with empty cups. When we received the check a 20% gratuity tip was added for a "large party" (there were four of us, the size of an average family). Overall, would not recommend. read more

We had great expectations and unfortunately it fell short! The food is mediocre and the service is nothing to brag about. It seemed like they're short staffed and rushed. The ambience has potential but feels very cramped. read more

Jered is a wonderful waiter, he had such a good vibe and had amazing service, food was delicious and setting was so aesthetically pleasing. Hostess savannah was also super friendly and seated us immediately. read more

Had a goodfolks salad and a lemonade. Service was nice and the location is adorable. The food was simple but tasty.

We loved our time at Goodfolks! We got the fried pickles, brussel sprouts, southern comfort burger (the best burger I've ever had), truffle Mac and cheese, crispy chicken sandwich and some lemon cheesecake. Everything was absolutely delicious and Jared's service made the night perfect. We'll definitely be coming back to see him and get another fantastic dinner! read more

The food, so so. The bar in the second floor.. Is second to none in Austin, their work ethic shows.

This restaurant has become my family's go to spot in Georgetown. Our kids love the chicken and waffles and milkshakes, and my husband and I love everything else. The cocktails are delicious and novel. Salads are a favorite as are the biscuits and fried pickles. Best thing for me is that ingredients are quality and sourced from local purveyors. Definitely give this restaurant a try! read more

My friend and I try out local Georgetown places on the weekends. This restaurant has been many things since I was a teenager. This I have to say is the best. We both had the chicken fried steak and eggs. This is not a plate size CFS but damn, it was delicious. We.also got fried pickles and smothered biscuits. By the time our meals came, we were full. But it was all so good, we took our leftovers home. Here's the kicker, I'm not a fried chicken fan. But hubby wanted it so I ordered it to go. They waited late into our meal to start it and it was piping hot when it was time to go. My car smelled so good I had to have some when I got home. I don't know what they marinate it in, but it's amazing. I hope this place is around for the long term and judging by the patronage, it is here to stay. Also a shout out to the staff, they were great too! We'll be going often. read more

Fried chicken is amazing, the staff is fantastic and the ambience is the best in the square.

Great food, nice and efficient staff. They know how take make southern cooking even better.

Amazing!! We have been searching for a gluten free chicken option. Wow wow wow!! The food is amazing we cannot wait to com back!

I LOVE this place!! We've been here twice and the food is so good, especially the fried chicken and mashed potatoes. I love the ambiance, the service is great, and the food is amazing! It's such a fun spot and we always love sitting upstairs. It's very Georgetown- classy and trendy. Tonight when we went, we had the nicest waitress, Sydney (?) who made our experience so fun and she even gave us a free appetizer! Can't wait to go back. read more

Such a friendly fun place to eat brunch. I had chicken tenders and coleslaw. My friend had a salad. It was a fun Saturday of shopping around Georgetown, such a cute area. Food is delicious. A great foodie experience. Thanks Goodfolks read more

I would have preferred if they did not allow us to have a 7:30 reservation if they were going to close at 8:00! We ordered food and a cocktail (which was excellent), but when we tried to order dessert at 7:55, we were told no and the kitchen was closed. We also were not given a chance to order another cocktail before last call! The food was excellent, but the rest left a lot to be desired. If great food is all you care about...check this place out! If service and the experience of dinner matter to you...maybe skip this place. read more

Amazing people and the food is awesome. The customer service is over the top the way everyone is treated. Kenny

First timers here. We got the fried pickles as an appetizer and my wife and I shared the 4 piece chicken plate. The food is fantastic. The service is AMAZING! Christine was our server. She is fantastic! 10/10. We will definitely come back. Thank you for the great experience! read more

Love the building and what they did with it! Very cute design and remodel! We are always happy to see new restaurants come to Georgetown! CONS: *I got the salmon and the salad was GROSS, very wilty and pretty much inedible. The bottom of the salmon was soggy from the salad and tasted very bland. (ya ya I know, ordering salmon at a place that specializes in fried chicken, maybe I deserved this) *We got a fried chicken and ranch dressing appetizer, which was good but I wish they would have served ranch on side it was just too much. I mean it was drowning in ranch! Also the chicken was kind of cold :( *My daughter got the fried chicken and waffles and again it was sort of cold and the waffles tasted like HEB mix, not bad but not great. She barely ate any of it. (The kid loves fried chicken usually!) *Pricey for the quality of the food PROS *Good service *Great cocktails *And I will mention again we loved the building and the ambiance! Will we try it again? Probably at some point, but with so many other good restaurants in Georgetown it's going to be a hard sell! read more

This is our go-to out to eat place almost weekly. Great food and atmosphere! It is always hot in there but other than that the atmosphere is good, service is good, and food is good! I recommend chicken melt but they also have surprisingly good queso! Can't go wrong eating here, must try. read more

Great experience! Just had a lovely meal here w/ my son & husband... things we tried: chicken & waffles, shrimp etouffee, chicken biscuit soup, honey butter & biscuits, truffle Mac, fried pickles, & patty melt. I have been wanting to try this place out for sometime now. What a nice little dining spot in downtown Georgetown! The food was great! I went with chicken because that is clearly their center piece here. The white home made pimento is also very addicting! I recommend getting crackers instead of chips. Here are my only 2 negatives, one the place is loud when it's busy, wife and had to practically get inches from each other just to speak. Two, don't get the margarita! It is so sour! I think it is just fresh lime juice and tequila, but was awful, they do at least have a decent beer selection. I highly recommend this place however I would say try and go at a time when they're not busy it will be a lot more enjoyable! read more

Driving home from Dallas to San Antonio, we stopped for lunch at Goodfolks. The fried chicken was delicious and the portion was large enough to bring some home. French fries came out luke warm but was quickly rectified when we alerted our wait person. We thought parking would be difficult being located on the Georgetown Square, but we found a spot near by. Afterward we had a nice walk-about Georgetown before heading home read more

Went there at 9 am on Sunday and was seated quickly. Service was very quick! I got chicken and biscuit and chicken and waffle. The chickens were juicy and tender. Waffles were too sweet and soft for my taste. The maple syrup was good but could be less sweet. The potatoes fries was yummy! read more

Food is okay. Small portions, good flavors. Service needs a lot of work. We practically had to beg for coffee refills. Waited an exceptionally long time for a mimosa because our server clearly forgot. Everyone is super friendly but I'm paying for food and service. I feel like we got shorted on both. read more
