Why is there a piece of vegetable in my drink?!?!?
    Helen C.

I was already half way done with my drink before noticing this leafy veggie in there. It is not from my food because the item discovered is not an ingredient in the food being consumed. Absolutely disgusting!!

This has been my go to bakery for years now. Don taats are just the way I like them. Soft, just firm enough custard, flakey puff pastry of goodness. Sponge cake bigger than my palm? Yes! Their cakes are so good and quite inexpensive. They're not sickeningly sweet, just enough. It pleases old folks so you know it's not terribly sweet. Do I occasionally order a small cake just for myself? Ya goddamn right I do!

If you want dim sum in a pinch, go to Good View! Just get there early. There are two Good View Bakeries in this part of Brooklyn. I'm a bigger fan of the one on 8th ave, but this one is pretty alright. Get there early enough and you'll have your pick of all you standard hot dim sum - including dumplings, har gao, chicken feet, turnip cakes, and more. Obviously, it's not as good as a real sit-down place, but it's definitely more than serviceable. Just anticipate a bit of a wait if it's busy or if they need to heat things up for you. It's a bakery, so of course, you can also get all sorts of buns. The egg custards are alright. Everything else is just fine. Your run of the mill hot dog baos, roast pork buns, raisin twists, etc.

There is an insect on the sandwich

I bought the small ham and egg sandwich. I got stomachache after eating. It is not fresh.

This bakery has definitely improved where I've been a customer for over 6 years. If, you're looking to get a quick and cheap, Chinese breakfast. Then, this is a great spot. The buns, breads, sandwiches are very delicious and fresh from 90cents and up! They also have other varieties of food such as dumplings, noodle soups, and so much more. They even offer drinks like milk tea, lemon honey water, coffee, smoothies and so much more. For breakfast, I always order the ham and egg macaroni soup with an iced milk tea or a watermelon smoothie. My total comes out to be less than $6! Customer service has definitely improved over the course of the years. The workers are so much more kind and patience now. They do repeat your order to make sure that was what you wanted. Inside, also have 4-5 tables where you can sit to eat as well as a bathroom for customers. The interior lighting is very vibrant where it gives off a comfortable and relaxing environment to enjoy your breakfast! As always, the line is super long and sometimes out the door. I love to grab breakfast in this bakery before I go to school/work!

Worst bakery ever, you want service or good food go somewhere else. If you are desperate come here. Make sure to get those gloves out because you will be fighting people to get your order in and to get your food. Good luck. Oh yea, forgot about the broken plastic that was in my meal.

I love this place. I used to come here a lot when I lived in the area, especially during the weekends and sometimes before going to work. This place gets packed in the morning everyday so beware if you're going before work as the line can be out the doors. It's a small space, not very clean inside but that's kinda normal for small Chinese spots like this. They have only 4 tables with 4 seats each so not very many spots to sit and eat. The reason I love this spot is cause it's CHEAP! Most of the baked goods are about $1 and the breakfast foods are only a few dollars and they give you a good amount for the value! Just beware for some of the breakfast foods like the mei fun and congee do run out around close to the afternoon. They have a big menu and offer a good variety of foods and drinks. Oh and I think the food is really good! But that's just me, I've never had an issue. If any cons it would be the ladies behind the counter, they're mostly good but their main focus is getting you your order as again this place gets packed.

This bakery is right outside of 79th Street D train station and is definitely one of my favorite bakeries. Their iced coffee is one of best (in terms in bakery quality and price: $1.75) and their buns are mostly in the one dollar range. My favorite food to order is their freshly made cherng fun(rice noodle), which you can order to be freshly made during all hours of the day. Most bakeries only make rice noodles in the morning, but this place makes each order individually on the spot, guaranteeing deliciousness and quality for only ~2 dollars! The one star deduction is due to the service. Like many other people have mentioned, their main focus is to get you in and out PRONTO, so they may come across as rude. Also, this place gets PACKED during morning hours and after school (since it is right across the street from New Utrecht High School). Therefore, take out would be the best option during those times.

I pass the bakery everyday. Every morning there's a line waiting for the breakfast. They not only sell break and cakes, so many options u can not imagine. And many different kinds beverages, milk tea, coffee, juice, soy milk etc. they have limited tables, so u can sit n enjoy for whatever you bought. Honestly, it's not authentic no matter what u get, it's just sorta that kinda thing which bit looks and tastes like what you wanted. once u ate it, u know it's not that bad but there's something not right like u expected. U know what I am saying ? Lol. Anyway, it's super cheap but cash only. I bought 4 different kinds of bread n cakes , only cost 3.5! Sweeeeet~

The wait was longer because we had to wait for the specials to come out from the oven, otherwise we could've just skipped the line and ordered directly at the counter. *Mango Lassi Croissant $15 Simply amazing. Ngl a $15 croissant should be illegal...but I went speechless after the first bite. SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY I am not even a huge mango lover like anybody does, but WOW this mango croissant was seriously the BEST mango pastry EVER. The pastry shell held flaky and crunchy, and the center was filled with a labneh cheesecake and mango gelee. We were surprised the filling wasn't liquid-y at all and held up well! We also tried the new Artichoke and Green Garlic Foccacia ($9), and the Fennel and Sausage Foccacia ($9). I get their foccacia slice every time I'm here and they never let me down. So pillowy and delicious.

Even though there is a line, you do not feel rushed or pressured to order quickly. On this visit we ordered plain croissant, chocolate croissant-fresh out of the oven, rhubarb croissant, black forest pastry and brown butter corn cake. The chocolate croissant was amazing. It is triple chocolate and cocoa powder is in the dough. It is filled with milk and dark chocolate, so creamy. The plain croissant was flaky and light. The brown butter corn cake was crispy and caramelized on the outside and soft and moist. The Black Forest croissant is a seasonal offering. It is made with their Triple Chocolate Croissant filled with chocolate cake and sour cherries and topped with mascarpone cream , Rhubarb & Custard Croissant . It is tart and sweet. The rhubarb is roasted and complimented with sweet vanilla custard. They all were excellent. Each were about $8. Highly recommend and don't let the line deter you .
