I used to love coming here to eat and hang out with my friends after school, especially to enjoy their scallion pancakes. (We were like regulars at that bakery) However, I don't know what changed but the customer service went on a rapid decline. I went there with 3 other friends and we were deciding what to buy, took about 5 minutes, but when we ordered the person gave us an attitude and said everything was sold out. It was only 3-4pm... Recently, I decided to give it another shot and went in to buy bubble teas for my friends and I. I asked them if they had change for a $100 bill because I didn't have smaller bills and she dismissively told me no. Seriously?? It was late in the afternoon, like 5pm. Personally, I think they do not like teenagers, especially non Asian ones. Once they see them, the staff will have frowns. The worst bakery in terms of customer service provided that I have ever been to, I definitely will not be coming back here. read more

This is the best Cheap Chinese Bakery in our area. They have low-price traditional baked goods, from Bao to chocolate cake. They also have limited super-cheap dim sum and some super cheap sandwich options, like ham and egg breakfast sandwiches. Local Chinese people keep this place packed even though there is another Chinese bakery two doors away. I love their cheung fun with watercress, sesame balls with bean paste, japanese cheese cakes, and mei fun - both the savory and sweet items are great deals. Today I tried a flourless chocolate cake slice and it was so perfect that I threw it away after a few bites, because I was scared that it MUST be wheat, it was so fluffy and perfect. If I don't get sick, I plan to go back and get it again. It tasted like a Hostess Cupcake, no lie. read more

The food is soso. The attitude of the waitress is so bad ！They don't reply your questions and they just yell at customers. They don't know how to respect people. Especially two girls. They should be fired. read more

One of the better Chinese bakeries (buns, pastries, & sandwiches) in the Bensonhurst area. They offer freshly made rice noodle dishes at low prices which are extremely popular. Sometimes it gets too hectic for the staff and the service suffers as a result. It seems like the staff does not have a good system in place for responding to orders when it gets busy. Hopefully, they'll rectify this issue soon because it can be a off-putting sometimes for the customers. read more

I just like the smoothies and the noodles are really good with the shrimp and I like the rice with meat lovers because the flavor is so alive read more

One of the employees there is very rude. She is in the 40 I believe. It's the second time I went there that I have to wait because she was busy gossiping with other lady. The first time I had to wait half an hour because she forgot to place my order. When I asked for my order after 15-20 minutes, she said she didn't place my order and the young girl confirmed that she said it loud to the lady and the lady forgot to place my order. It didn't bother me a lot that time because it was first time. Today, I went there in the morning to get my breakfast, there was only 1 customer in front of me and the same lady again was busy gossiping with another lady. I ordered my breakfast, I can't wait until she feel like to come to take my order, she gave me an evil eye because I placed my order. She spoke very loud and nasty. I would not return to this location. read more

Dumplings are fire only thing worth getting and you have to come up to them if you're being stupid. Everything else here is gross

Wanted a pork bun, but they were sold out, so I was offered a steamed pork bun. It was warm and yummy. I want to try the other items on their menu, besides the bakery. Will be back. It's right near the new J mart supermarket. read more

This bakery discriminates against non-Chinese speakers. They will ignore you, yell at you, and treat you like something left in the toilet just because you don't speak Chinese. I was waiting in line for a couple of minutes and when i got up there, they ignored me, and acted like I wasn't even there. Zero eye contact, nothing, I felt invisible. Then i noticed they started taking orders from Chinese speakers behind me in the line with zero problems. I had to get their attention which took awhile, and they yelled at me because I didn't know Chinese. I had to yell at them that I didn't understand Chinese, I understand English. In summary: Horrible customer service that discriminates against non-Chinese speakers. read more

Terrible customer service. In the morning, they're inconsiderate of people's time- they don't think people have to go to work/school. I've seen people just walk out after waiting and waiting. They're so slow and have a mean face. And even in the afternoon with a few people, they are ridiculous. I went there and there were 3 ladies working. One was already taking care of a customer while the other two, who saw at least 3 of us waiting, kept on organizing cups rather than take our orders. The only one helping a customer was telling the other two to take care of us but those nasty two just ignored her. The customers in front of me eventually just left. I think they must be seriously underpaid to be so nasty and mean. read more

some of them are nice but most of them are mean.i ask for something but she just stare at me and said they dont have it and i just see that its right behind her.old bit....(ch) its the first time that i write review this much and its all because i got so mad. their food are good but its just sometimes you may find out that you are missing the soy sauce read more

I made the mistake of getting cakes from this bakery. I think those cakes might have sat in the display for months. The so called tiramisu has stretchy/chewy custard, like marshmallows. The sesame mousse also has the same texture. Makes me wonder what they put in the cream/custards. It was disgusting. Will never get cake from them again read more

the attitude was super bad, they can argue with me because I wanted an extra soy sauce for my rice. they said one rice only come with one soy only. wtf, I just wanted an extra one and they won't give me cause the boss will yell at them. what kind of boss will tell at the worker just because they give out one more soy sauce! read more

I'm in utter disbelief at the way that the workers treat their customers. My boyfriend took me here hoping to show me a good spot for breakfast. When we got to the bakery, it wasn't too busy. There were about 3 other customers waiting to order. One girl was helping someone and the other three women stood around and ignored the fact that there were customers waiting to order. We finally asked politely if we could order since we were waiting for a while at this point. The lady who helped us immediately gave us a disgusting attitude asking "what do you want?". My boyfriend ignored the bad attitude and continued to order. He didn't know the names of the dishes he ordered so he pointed at the pictures and told her one by one patiently; but the lady immediately got annoyed and started yelling at him in front of all of the other customers saying things like "Say the name. You think I have all the time to go and look at what you want?". My boyfriend told the lady that he did not know the names and apologized but she would not stop yelling at him. We ordered a lot of food by the way. You would think that they would be grateful that we were supporting their business but instead this is how they treated us. Afterwards, we were about to pay but my boyfriend wanted to add two more drinks to the order. When we asked for the drinks from another lady, she yelled at him too saying, "why didn't you tell me that sooner?" And on top of that when they were packing the food, they forgot to give us our soy sauce so we asked nicely and they said if we wanted soy sauce, we have to pay for it. And then the lady noticed that we were sitting down but she had already packed our food which was totally fine because we wanted to take whatever we couldn't finish to go but when the lady noticed, she yelled at us saying that we forced her to take so much time to pack all of our food when we were staying this entire time. After staying calm the entire time, my boyfriend finally spoke up and said " you don't have to speak to me that way. You've been very rude to me this entire time." And after that they stopped speaking and left us alone. I've never ever experience such horrible customer service. They claimed that they were stressed but there weren't many customers and we were nothing but nice and calm with them the entire time. This is no way to run a business and I will not be back ever again. read more

Foods ok but the staff there is really the problem!!! Not once I've been to this place with a ok customer service. They all look miserable and they really take it on their customers. Not to mention they tried to over charge us by $10, they blamed it on us...I am very disappointed and they are a disgrace for my race!!! read more

The food is ok, but the attitude of the staff in this place are the WORST. They would scold at the customers for faults of their own, move at a slow pace, and their behavior is way over the line. 9/10 I go in there, (line or no line) I would have to wait for them to "finish" their task- organizing cups, frying food to store, chatting , doing all that instead of taking orders for customers. And when they do decide to take orders, out comes the cold attitude. Worst part is there are like six workers there, which is more than enough. Turns out I am not the only customers that feels this way , many other customers I know also complain about the staff's attitude but so far nothing has been change. read more

Horrible bakery!!! Very unhygienic and dirty handling of food before handing over to customers. Do not patronize this bakery. You have to be careful and literally follow the worker that helps you and make sure she does not cheat you!!! This morning I ordered 2 ham and egg soup noodles and other pastries. While she prepared the noodles, I saw her accidently dropped the cooked noodles into the sink, and then, she used the tongs to pick it up and put it back into the container to continue to add soup and other ingredients. I was so furious and stopped her. I went around the counter and told her what she did was wrong and how could she put back the dropped, dirty noodles back into the take-out container for customers. She didn't care and said she did not. I told her I saw everything and demanded she change redo and changed to new noodles or I want my money back. One of the workers side her and said they won't do that. I told her what I saw and insisted that's wrong and unhygienic and how could they do that and sell it to customers. People will get sick!!! One head worker asked her to throw it away and do it again with the new and clean noodles. I could not believe my eyes when I saw what she did!!! That is so wrong!!! I am sure she will not eat anything dropped in the sink!!! And yet she did it and thinking I was stupid, and will not open my mouth and just accept it!!! That is the mentality most of the workers there are!!! They are so damn rude!!! I will not step into that bakery anymore. Also, She gave me burnt buns (already packed in a bag) and sell it to me. When I asked her whether it's fresh, she said it was. So dishonest!!! I looked mellow and uneducated with my casual t-shirt and shorts and she thinks she can cheat me!!! I suggest if you are not desperate and starved, DON'T GO THERE!!! Do yourself a favor! After this morning's experience, I will never, never, step into that bakery. I told my families and friends to be watchful and be careful. The workers/ladies are rude and they don't care about the hygiene of the customers. Most of the times, they talk so much and calculate wrong and miss items. The manager should step up and do something to ensure food is being handled in a hygienic way and keep up a high morale!!!!!!!!!!!! Do not selectively cheat customers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DON'T GO THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

I would recommend them as an alternative to Dunkin Doughnuts across the street and Mei Mei a few doors down. Items are reasonably priced. Their Pullman Toast is by far the best I have had in Bensonhurst. Dim sums are decent. Long wait for customized steamed rice crepe during rush hours. Minus 2 stars for bad customer service. read more
