I have been a customer for many years. I understand the COVID-19 Era constraints and I sympathize. Please clean your tables! I have Clorox and alcohol wipes with me, for obvious reasons, and server just complained that I am staining the tables. My wipes look black with dirt and grease after I use them on tables. Please. No manager even bothered to address the issue. Then I get ignored by everyone when sitting outside because I complained about dirty tables. This is not the Good Stuff I know. read more

At recommendation of a friend, I came upon this place on a Sunday morning after picking up someone from LAX. At 10 AM this place was already packed. Somehow was able to find outdoor seating after a 15 minute wait. They had complimentary water and coffee outside albeit with limited seating. After being seated at an outdoor table, I glanced the menu and wow! The menu is extensive. In short time I chose the chili verde burrito and a cup of coffee. Coffee is meh, generic half and half creamer, no flavors. They did offer mimosas and beer on the menu, but I was in a hurry plus I'd be driving home in LA traffic. No thanks. Burrito turned out pretty okay, but nowhere on the menu did it mention it was wet style. This is a non-issue to me, but for others that like being able to hold a burrito in their hands, this could be a blocker. Or maybe it's not, maybe there are actually people out there that like to hold wet burritos with their hand, I dunno. To each their own right? In any case, I had an overall stellar experience and I was in and out of there within 30 minutes. On Sunday brunch hour, that's pretty good if you ask me. read more

I was asked by a fellow Yelper - "Was it really Good Stuff?" And my honest answer was "Yes" :) We just moved to the area & happen to stumble onto this establishment, of course I couldn't make up my mind where I wanted to sit and hubby's cellphone kept blowing up!! We were starving and everyone that knows me is aware of my "restricted diet" needs (I won't bore those of you who don't know or care about me...lol) With that said, for being a quaint little diner, it's menu does offer more choices for the healthy conscious & for those of us that can't eat meat. I had the Thin Dish Veggie Stuffie & hubby had his burger. Both were delicious and service was fast. Seems to be popular w/the locals as it started to fill up and had people waiting to get a table. They serve beer and wine too :) Well we liked it and probably plan on going back more often, these are the kind of small diners we love to eat at. There is a parking structure behind this restaurant. It is free and large and almost always half empty. Been here twice and Good Stuff has good stuff that is a good safe place to go. This is not a bad choice as your default place to go in this area. Ordered the Barramundi plate and it was good, though not memorable. Loco Moco was very good and satisfying. Like comfort food satisfying. Ceasar salad was very very good. Prices seem just a tad bit pricey, but if they keep churning out good safe comfort food, I'll keep coming back. read more

Had the California Quesadilla. It was decent. Wished it was more seasoned and the mushrooms had more flavor. Came with cheese, mushrooms, avocado, pico de gallo, bacon and sour cream. Thought it was kind of pricey. Came out to 16 bucks for just the quesadilla and an iced tea. Although the food was kind of bland the service was very professional and attentive. They had very comfy seats (booth). Pros: + Great staff + Comfy Seating + Loco Moco is decent + Tuna Melt Cons: - Pricey for the quality - Bloody Mary *Came back and had their Loco Moco, which was also decent. It's a a hamburger patty served with rice, topped with a fried egg and smothered in gravy. Though most of the ingredients on their own were a bit bland (rice & burger patty) the gravy that everything is smothered in did a good job to make the dish enjoyable. I would order this one again. * Update 8/12/16 Tried their Breakfast Carnitas Tacos. Thought they were ok. Just carnitas, eggs and cilantro. Some cheese and sour cream would have gone a long way to make this dish more enjoyable. Although I gave one of the tacos to a friend and he thought it was really good and enjoyed it, so I guess it depends on the person. *Update 1/17/18 Tried their Chicken Chile Verde Breakfast Burrito. Not bad, kind of bland. Wouldn't reorder. *Update 3/23/18 Had their Tuna Melt today with chicken tortilla soup and a bloody mary. Tuna Melt was good. My family of 3, traveling from GA.. We came here expecting common breakfast food and services. Well let me tell you Gustavo and his trainee went above and beyond. From seating us outside at my request and me changing my mind because of the cool breeze to reseating us inside at a nice booth. The food was fresh and hot off the grill. I had the skillet scramble, my hub had a 2 egg breakfast and my son had an chicken Chile breakfast burrito that came out in less than 10mins of ordering. All at the same time and all very good. Got here on a Saturday for brunch and there was a 15 min wait, not bad - but when you're hungry it seems like forever! Got seated quickly in the patio area with the heaters running (it was a cold and drizzly day). My friends and I all got great food and the service was also great. Nothing to complain about! Perfect to grab breakfast or lunch...and the best part is it is not on Highland in Manhattan Beach, but close enough to baseball, soccer, and flag football games for our Manhattan Beach grandkids. I went here for the first time a couple weeks ago while visiting a friend who lives nearby and is a frequent customer...and for good reason! Gus was our fantastic server. We were seated quickly and our orders came out in a timely fashion as well. We both decided to have breakfast, which means I got to experience some of the best hash browns I've ever tasted, and I have had a LOT of hash browns. I could have eaten a whole plate of them. We dropped in for breakfast today. It's a modern looking and spacious cafe and it was my first time here. I had a short stack of buttermilk pancakes which were lukewarm by the time they got to me. While the portion was generous, I couldn't finish them because they were thick and a little rubbery. My husband enjoyed the crabby Benedict, although he said he has had better. Our server was very nice and our coffee refilled before we had to ask. Parking was easy with the structure right around the corner. No wait for a table either. It was an ok meal. read more

Food was solid. Nothing to write home about. The line was long, probably because there are not a lot of breakfast places in the area. The loco moco is definitely not as good as you would find in Hawaii, the cheese omelet's cheese was just stacked on top of the eggs, and the vegetarian chili was more soup than a thick chili. Service was OK, but it took them a long time to seat our party of five and then they put us at a four person table right in the entrance with a chair blocking the full walkway, rather than placing us at one of the two open booths. The host then had to ask a manager if she could move us to the 4 person booth and said she couldn't move us to the 6 seater because they were hoping they'd get a bigger party. Thanks, but no thanks. This is likely the best place to grab a quick bite to eat near the LAX airport. They serve the traditional American breakfast and lunch options, but with a healthy twist. You can get an omelette or scramble with just the egg white (already on the menu, so you don't even have to special request it), and there are plenty of vegan selections. The food also tastes healthful, which is a good thing and a bad thing. They are fresh, but they lack flavor. By no means are they bad, but they're just not that memorable. Seating is spacious and the tables are bathed in natural light. The waitresses are friendly and attentive. Parking is easy because there is a free public parking structure right next to the restaurant. read more

This place was so disappointing. The staff was nice but the food was horrible. My egg whites were so oily and there was a $1.00 up charge which the waiter should have mentioned. I asked for no butter on my toast and when it came with my meal it had butter. Then i had to wait 10 minutes for toast without butter which the bread was awful. My husbands biscuits and gravy were not good either. The biscuit was rock hard. The bacon was good and the coffee. Somehow I got pancakes with my breakfast when it didn't come with it. Those were not good either. Very thin and the syrup had a weird taste. When i received the bill I was charged for my toast $3.50 , egg whites , ($1.00) and the meal. ($11:00) and coffee $3.25. At that point I just wanted to leave. I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone. Very dissatisfied and not a happy camper. read more

Ordered the good stuff breakfast. Per the selection choices it was to include chefs potatoes which I did not receive. I called the restaurant and the girl that answered said they had tried to call me. I have not had any calls from anyone this morning. She said the meal either gets the toast or potatoes not both. I told her that's not how the choices of the meal are on the app. She said they have contacted the app developer and they haven't changed it. To me this just sounds like another story just like they tried to call me several times. Get real. Also I did not receive the english muffin which I paid extra for. 12 dollars and some change is ridiculous for a couple eggs, 2 pieces of bacon and toast. After I got off the phone I contacted Grub Hub who were excellent and refunded my meal. I've ordered from here before but this is my last time. read more

Cute neighborhood place with great service and local feel. Usually good service is my call out when reviewing restaurants... not the case here- staff is amazing. Unfortunately, quality of food has gone downhill to the point I will not be back. Asked for coffee (something that should be reliable, strong, and great in a place like this)-- it was horrible. Like, undrinkable. Tasted industrial and rancid. Our lovely server switched it for another "pot" and same taste. Pumpkin pancakes tasted burnt and mediocre. The bottom line is that a neighborhood place that serves basics should get those basics spot on. The toast, eggs, coffee should be awesome and reliably good. Good Stuff just isn't good anymore. I hope the owner can make changes to improve upon this place...until then, we will seek Sunday breakfast elsewhere. read more

What a hidden gem. This little cafe is the perfect spot for a casual breakfast with friends. The menu has items for every mood healthy, naughty, or even just a plain Jane mood with some oatmeal. The menu was so enticing it was hard to choose. I ended up ordering a spinach eggs Benedict, and it was cooked to perfection. The yolks broke beautifully over the bed of spinach and the sourdough English muffin. The potatoes were half crispy half soggy. Only change I'd make is to go with the fresh fruit side. Also, great spot for early morning work team meetings. We were there for and saw other groups too having the same amount of ease with their meetings. read more
