Questions were answered beforehand via text, and thoroughly. That made the decision easy. Go with Good Lock & Key. M did a great assessment and provided the new car key and fob, tested it too. Honored the price quoted. Tho' I didn't ask for it, he awarded me a free copy of another key! How good is that! The new fob works way better than the old. I should've done this sooner. read more

I needed a spare key with transponder for my kids VW golf. These guys were great to work with.

There's a reason Good Lock & Key has an impeccable record with 5 stars! Had an emergency situation today and they came to my rescue! Bottom front door knob popped right off! Decades old and needed to be replaced. In short notice, Mike was able to come and replace the bottom knob with a brand new silver one with a lock that matched the top lock! Imagine that!!! I text him some pictures and he gave me a quick estimate over the phone. I was actually not present when the fix happened and he was cool enough to leave an invoice so I could pay over the phone later. How awesome is that!?! Mike made a stressful situation go away in a matter of minutes! Thanks for your speedy and professional service! read more

An old school business with perfect service. We should all support these businesses. I previously had keys made at Home Depot and not one of them worked. Had additional keys made here and all worked. Nothing more need be said. Knowledgeable, quality and great customer service. read more

Called up to see about a second key fob for my 2018 Buick, it's keyless so I was anticipating a pricey quote. They quoted me a very reasonable price for the key and programming. Made an appointment to meet at the shop, they were on time and I was on my way in a half hour! Definitely recommend them read more

Fast professional service replaced and upgraded door locks. I was able to send pictures and receive free quote! Very affordable!

This is the place for keys! A+ customer service and prices. I prefer to support small businesses so when I need keys made, this is where I come. On a Sunday evening I made the mistake of getting keys copied at Home Depot since Good Lock & Key was closed. The keys didn't work so less than 24 hours later I found myself at Good Lock & Key to have the same keys copied. The new keys worked no problem, I knew this was the place to come. read more

The Gold Standard. I was changing a lock on an exterior metal gate and ran into some trouble and it was getting towards the end of the working day so I decided to find a locksmith in the area to assist. Long story short, Mike helped me solve the problem on short notice. All Google could show was no less than 5 "KeyMe" locations within a 10-minute drive. If you don't already know, these are not local locksmiths, rather it gets routed to a call center who use fake/hacked reviews to boost their profile. A quick search for "Locksmith Real or Fake" on YouTube and you'll be surprised at these predatory and redlining tactics. read more

Midal (sorry if I got name wrong) helped us with a quote for new key fob and programming the key after my wifes purse and key fob were stolen. I was reading of how some people could reprogram keys at home but saw nightmare stories of people being unsuccessful, towing their cars to the dealer and paying dealer prices for a new fob and programming it. Because of that I had asked him if for sure it would work. He was able to help us quick and efficiently, but most of all was cheaper than going to the dealer read more

I have a Honda Accord 2013. My key fob died and I needed a new one. The official Honda dealership in Monrovia charges $255 for a new one. That is too much money. This place charged me $145. Great price. Great customer service as well, they provided me a cold water bottle in this hot summer weather. Their process time was quick. No appointment needed, just walk in. The new key fob works perfect. Thank you so much, I will be returning. read more

We had a very pleasant experience here. We were helped immediately and very happy with how our keys came out. Originally we first went to Home Depot and they did not have the size key that we needed. Really wish we just came here first avoid the trouble. Would definitely come back. read more

Quick response and honest answer that what I wanted to do was not possible. One of two honest answers that I received.

I usually never write a review, but I had to today this company good luck and Key are the best in town, reliable the key that no one could get for our vehicle. They were able to get it for us not just that they were able to program it I haven't had my car in four weeks because a dealership had it and they promised me empty promises and good luck. He came through, it was just not quick. It was also knowledgeable and great service. Don't look anywhere else guys. This is the place to go awesome service gold star.!!!! read more

Someone tried to break into my car right before Christmas and broke the key hole on my car. I went on yelp and got a few quotes and found their price to be the best price. Milad the son was super responsive and had ordered the parts for me right away. I came in today and his dad was here to help me install it. He got it installed and then moved over to show me that each key locks and unlock like the way it should. He got me in and out in 15 minutes. He was super nice and would definitely recommend them if anyone every tries to break the lock on your car door. read more

Great job, very fast re-key and excellent price. Def recommend these guys. Were able to come out within hours of contacting.

Details were exchanged over email to help M understand the lock repair situation etc. Received a reasonable quote before hand (and not visit fee + labor + materials that some others quoted) which made the decision easy. Go with Good Lock & Key. M did a great job provided insights on why couple of things were broken - they were not installed properly by likely a handy man instead of a locksmith. Reasonable, upfront pricing (provided you clearly communicate details) Quick efficient Courteous and pleasant 5 stars read more

Was locked out of my home. They came super fast. Got the job done quickly for about half the price as other quotes.

Great customer service! I was making a few trips back and forth from my car to unload items when I accidentally locked myself out of my apartment. Thankfully I still had my phone on me so after a quick Yelp search I found Good Lock & Key. The locksmith was able to come out to me within 20 minutes, and he was incredibly efficient. He had my front door open after just a few minutes, despite it being a heavy duty lock. He was also very friendly, and his rates are reasonable in comparison to some of the other local businesses (I made a few other calls to compare price points). Anyways, I'm so glad I found Good Lock & Key - they were a lifesaver! read more

This business is family owned which I love! A friend of mine lost his car key and Good Lock & Key didn't only activate a new key for him, but they actually went the extra mile to drive an hour away to pick up another key when the ones they ordered turned out to be faulty not to mention they had the best price in town. Wrong, wrong, wrong! I couldn't have been more wrong about Mike. First time at Good Lock I saw this stern, impersonal looking man; we said a few words and he had as much warmth as a block of ice. But because they're so close to my house and made quality keys (there is a difference btw), I kept coming back. Fast forward to an emergency situation where I locked myself and my son out of the house I called Good Lock. And much to my dismay, iceman Mike pulled up in his van... He looked at the non-standard lock, fixed the misaligned internal parts (that I wasn't even aware of) and made a clean new key. So while he was working we got to talking and I learned more about him and his wife, he charged me what he quoted despite the unexpected issues. Mike may look cold but he's a warm, sweet, hard-working, honest, family businessman! Support small business. Especially the great ones! read more

Thank you Mike at Good Lock and Key! We had a problem with our new lock not shutting properly and it was installed incorrectly. Mike came and solved our problems in less than 30 mins. 10/10 would recommend, I just moved to the area and I needed a new car key and fob as well as mail keys. Requested a quote here on Yelp, very quick & informative responses. Went in the next day and got all the keys I needed with a discount since I went through Yelp! I know nothing about key making so I assumed that the car key would take at least an hour but the all the keys together took about 10-15 minutes. Great efficient service, the most affordable in the area, would recommend to my friends and family and the people of Yelp! Free parking in the back read more
