10/10 would recommend, I just moved to the area and I needed a new car key and fob as well as mail keys. Requested a quote here on Yelp, very quick & informative responses. Went in the next day and got all the keys I needed with a discount since I went through Yelp! I know nothing about key making so I assumed that the car key would take at least an hour but the all the keys together took about 10-15 minutes. Great efficient service, the most affordable in the area, would recommend to my friends and family and the people of Yelp! Free parking in the back read more

Thank you Mike at Good Lock and Key! We had a problem with our new lock not shutting properly and it was installed incorrectly. Mike came and solved our problems in less than 30 mins. We're so glad we found this locksmith that's close, knowledgeable, and honest. Always happy to work with professionals who don't try to sell you things you don't need or perform unecessary service. My Baldwin exterior handset stopped working -- I couldn't open my front door. I disassembled what I could and still couldn't get it to open. He came out the next morning, said this is an issue with these locks. He gently broke the lock out, replaced the handset with a duplicate one that I got at Home Depot, rekeyed it to my old key and was done. Total time... 10 minutes! Super reasonable price, too. And I don't have to use my garage door as my front door any more! read more

Great job. Even though I called late in the day they came right away and got it done!

This was the only place I can find who would make a car key for me without the chip. When I arrived the man said that it was be $7 per key made. I told him that when I had called and spoke to a different person, he quoted me $5 per key. The man in the shop said that the other person didn't know that the price had changed but I went ahead and had two keys made regardless. To my surprise he honored what the other person had said and charged the only $5 per key. I would definitely go back. read more

Had to have my car towed due to my car key not able to start the car; wouldn't even turn, and seemed quite "sticky" as pulling key out of ignition was an issue as well, causing key case to break apart. Note to self: when replacing a car key case, be certain the quality is solid, otherwise in situations like this the key will fall apart. Checked on Yelp to look for locksmiths in the area that work on cars. Good Lock & Key replied with not only a good deal, but also with a lot of solid reviews. Mike came by to look at my vehicle's ignition key. After moments trying to make it work out, he informs that he would need to bring ignition and key back to the shop, to not only repair the ignition but change out the case for the key. Mike returned, with everything ready to go, but informed that he did not see a chip in the key, which is required for high security keys issued by Honda. I mentioned to him I know about the chip, as this key case is an aftermarket. After a little back and forth, he said he has another key with a chip that he can have work for the car, I said let's go for it. 5 minutes later, I have not only repaired ignition, but also a whole new key that replaced my old one (do have to note that not only was key case in pieces, but the teeth on the key were really worn down, perhaps contributing to the ignition needing repair.) All said and done, everything done by Mike of Good Lock & Key was satisfactory, professionally handled, and efficient. Saying I'm a satisfied customer is an understatement, and will have this company in my contacts for future key/lock needs. read more

Milad is very easy to work with. He responded to my request on Yelp within 10 minutes and helped us re-key our new home. His work is fast and met our expectations as a locksmith. We had Milad come back a second time to help us install a smart door lock. Due to a sudden influx of more urgent calls, he had to reschedule the original date we agreed upon. However, he provided a reasonable heads-up and we rescheduled for the following day. I would highly recommend his services read more

I messaged several shops about my broken shell on my mobile key, and Good Lock & Key responded back that same second! They gave me a quote, and I immediately drove to their location. Mike (the owner) and the other worker (I forgot to ask for his name) greeted me, and made me feel so comfortable!!! The locksmith fixed my car key in about 5 minutes!!! Which was awesome!!!! They both offered me the best customer service. I'm so happy I found this place. I'm totally referring them to all my family/friends!!!! I highly recommend. Thank you for all your help!!!! :-))) you two are the best. read more

I'm so glad I found this place on yelp!! My mom somehow lost all 3 spares of her car keys. The car dealership quoted us a ridiculous price to reprogram the car for a new set of keys. Plus I would have to tow it to the dealership. I called this place and someone was able to come to me in less than 1 hour! It also costed a fraction of the cost the dealership quoted me and the person who came finished in about 20 mins. Would def recommend this place to all friends and family!! read more

Mike is a man of honor. Let me explain! The last time I came in I thought he undercharged me based on the quote I was offered, and offered to pay the same amount (over $100) again because I was confused and didn't want to cheat him. It turns out Mike is trustworthy and didn't want to cheat me either. He handed my credit card back to me without charging me a dollar more. It's sometimes rare to see such integrity, but always a gem when you find it! Not to mention the value and quality they offer is great. Five stars for good lock and key! read more

The issue I have is that my car key has worn out after 10 years and it slides out of the ignition even when my car engine is running. One time it slid out while I was driving. Quite scary! Good Lock and Key was one of the additional vendors Yelp sent for quotes on my behalf. The owner, Milad, responded very quickly providing information on what he can do and how much it costs. I had received a total of 4 quotes plus one said he needed to come onsite for an estimate. To that, I said no thanks. The last one responded actually had the lowest quote of "fixing" my key. She educated me more on what could be done to solve my problem. From the information she provided, I did some reaearch online and understood the options available to address the key sliding out of ignition issue. Then I went back to the other vendors including Good Lock and Key and presented the option I wanted - cut a new key to code and put the brains of my current remote into the new key. Good Lock and Key's new price was lower than the other 2 but not lower than the lady who educated me. I replied to Good Lock and Key if he would match the quote and he did. So I drove to the shop in Pasadena. Milad just left the shop and he came back right away when his guy called him. He cut me a new key to code and put the brains of my current remote into the new key. Exactly what I needed. I tested everything. New key does not slide out of ignition. YES! SAFETY first.. It opens the driver side door. It opens the trunk. And the remote works. Mission accomplished at the lowest price I got, done correctly right away and the shop is pretty close to me. So I am happy and satisfied. Definitely recommend. Don't be shy to negotiate the price a bit. :) If you read through my review to here and wonder why I didn't go to the lady who gave me the lowest price and educated me, reason was because they are a mobile shop and I had to meet the tech at his job site which I was willing to some degree. For 2 days I was not able to pin point an address with them. That's why. read more
