On the contrary, they were running around the entire time. We started with a PuPu platter, which was a lot of food and all very good. We then split orders of the teriyaki chicken and Mongolian beef. Plates are large, and there's a lot of food. Again, both dishes were quite good. We had leftovers to take back to the AirBnB. We'd definitely come back next time we're in Surprise.

We ordered the yui shan chicken and the garlic chicken combos (only around $1. more to get soup, crab puff, egg roll and an upgrade from white rice to fried rice.) Based on only trying two dishes my conclusion is that they serve Arizona Style American Chinese Food. It is far less complex, less flavorful, and much less spicy than east coast American take out Chinese Food. It's not bad food in anyway so if you are from Arizona it is very good food. We started eating at the restaurant but I got the idea that I could take the food home and improve it for my taste. The food stayed piping hot and it did taste much better with just a spoonful of chili crisp added more flavors and some needed heat. The people working there seemed very nice and the restaurant looked sparkling clean. 3 stars is a positive review and means A-OK on Yelp. Give this place a try if you are good with Arizona Style Take Out Chinese Food.

Good Fortune was a great find, with delicious food and generous portions. The egg rolls were crispy and flavorful, making them the perfect way to start the meal. The pot stickers were ok- not home made, but the sauce was good. The lunch special came with egg drop soup (made thick with cornstarch), choice of rice, a crab puff (not real crab), and the smallest egg roll I've ever seen - it couldn't have been more than 1.5" long. The human shrimp was flavorful and they didn't skimp on shrimp; I didn't try the crab puff and the egg roll was mostly flavorless. They could have left it off and I wouldn't be mad about it. The lunch entree portion was decent and I noticed they had similar combinations for dinner. While the restaurant is not one I would recommend for a date night or dinner out, it is a serviceable American Chinese restaurant. It's one I would go to if I had a taste for quick Chinese for lunch near home.

The pieces were also cut differently from the typical rounder pieces of orange chicken--they were flatter and cut into different shapes. I'm not sure if the chicken may have been cooked a little too long, but the texture was noticeable. We also tried the spring rolls, but unfortunately, we didn't care for them. They were very chewy and tasted as though they may have been cooked too far in advance, so they didn't taste as fresh as we would have liked. The egg rolls were just okay as well and could have used a little more seasoning. Overall, the portions are generous, the prices are reasonable for the amount of food you receive, and there was definitely enough for us to enjoy another meal the next day. While a few items could use some improvement in freshness, texture, and seasoning, we did enjoy the flavors of the orange chicken.
