The place is definitely aesthetically pleasing. There isn't much seating area in the front but about 3 or 4 tables in the back that you can go and do some work. The place seemed pretty busy. Been here a couple times now and Gong Cha is definitely one of the better boba places in the Dallas area. One of my favorite drinks there is the Lemon Ai-Yu with white pearl (but I always get it without the white pearls). The white pearls have a very interesting texture... the texture is kinda like the canned water chestnuts they put in fake Chinese food. Their regular black boba is just alright. It's definitely not super sweet- Gong Cha's boba is actually not really sweet at all. And the boba itself seems smaller than Kung Fu's and Sharetea's. Another drink I love is their Earl Grey Milk Tea. I love anything Earl Grey and I've come to find that not many boba places have an Earl Grey Milk Tea so I definitely enjoy it a lot (it comes with herbal jelly, pudding and boba but you can always ask for it without all the toppings- I always do that). I also get all my drinks at 30%. They say their drinks are all 70% if you don't ask to change it, but honestly, it tastes a lot sweeter than 70%... With the an oversaturated (and I'm not complaining at all!) of Bubble Tea places opening up in the Plano area, this one has stood out to me the most (haven't tried Fulll) yet. Gong Cha is one of those places that has stuck out to me. With the nice wood finish interior and various drinks with an instruction picture, I'm glad I stumbled upon this place with a friend. I ordered the Milk Tea with pudding with less ice and 50% sugar (see pictures of the instruction manual on how to order), and it was simply astounding! It has to be the fresh milk they produce in the place that gave it a special flavor in my mouth. My friend got the Green Milk Tea with white pearls, and man, I loved his drink more than mine! If you're looking for something BOTH creamy and sweet, look no further! This is the epitome of that, and I'm amazed by how his drink blended in so well together. All in all, definitely would recommend if you're in the area. Looking forward to trying Mango Mango next :). read more

So excited this Gong Cha has opened by my parents! The milk tea and boba is delicious - fresh and chewy. My main order is always the black milk tea, but the ginger milk tea is delicious also (made with real ginger - the drink will have ginger strings in it!), and the wintermelon is a refreshing option for summer days (plenty of those in Texas). Love that it is open late - definitely a great hangout for Plano! read more

This is definitely going to be one of my favorite bubble tea places in the H-Mart area. This place gives you a stamp on your punch card regardless of what size drink you ordered (cough cough Kung Fu Tea). Also when ordering, they ask how much sugar and ice you want. My mother would love this place since she's always trying to get minimal ice and sugar and maximize the amount of actual tea in her drinks lol. I ordered the green milk tea, which normally comes with white boba. I had zero clue what that was, but the barista was very generous and offered me a small cup of it to try. It has a jelly texture and reminds me of lychee a little bit. I was surprised that my drink came out looking like normal milk tea because I was expecting matcha, but they use real green tea and it was delicious! read more

I normally don't come here bc of the location of this place relative to my house. My friends always rave of how good their drinks are and I decided to try it out for myself tonight. I was pleasantly surprised by Their Earl grey milk tea with 3 J's (boba, herbal jelly, and pudding). The toppings were plentiful and the drink tasted pretty solid. I asked for less ice and I drank my drink pretty slow but I still had like 1/3 cup of ice when I finished, so I would maybe recommend ordering half ice or little ice. The sitting area in there was not huge but it was more than sufficient for the people that's were there. I didn't pay for my drink, because my friend did, so i can't speak on their pricing. They also have games to play so it seems like a pretty good place to hang out or do some homework. Overall I would come back again to try more drinks. read more

This is my absolute favorite Bubble Tea brand when I lived in Singapore. The tea tasted the same when I tried it in this outlet. I always go for the Mustache (Milk Foam) series with Green Tea, Black Tea or Oolong Tea. You know the tea is good when you can order it with 25% sugar. When I heard Plano was opening one, I knew I had to check it out but I missed the soft opening bc I was busy. I love going to gong cha in Houston, TX and I think this place in Plano is also great! The tea tastes like real tea and I'm a fan of the classic milk tea and I love it! The boba is soft and chewy, so it definitely hits the spot. Alright, so a couple great things about Gong Cha. They're open pretty late, so if you're having a late night and decide that you want some boba, then Gong Cha is the place to go. Their mango and passion fruit slushes are pretty good, though I have had them not blend all the ice to a pulp before. A couple things that just don't make sense to me. 70% sugar is their normal sweetness. That don't make a lick of sense. If you're going to make anything normal sweetness, *that* should be 100% and you go from there. Want less sweetness, then 70% should be less sweet. Then 130% can be more sweet. That makes sense. Then, we've once gotten the suggestion of both white and black boba. DON'T DO IT, unless you are having a bad day and you want your boba drink to match your day. The white boba is not the same consistency as the black boba. It's less chewy and more crunchy which is NOT what I want in a boba. Otherwise, service is good. Parking is a bit limited, but it's manageable. read more

Prob one of the best boba drinks I've ever had! I'm Taiwanese so that obviously means a lot ;) I got the milk foam earl grey boba and it was delicious! I got the coffee milk drink with tapioca, it was not very good. First off the coffee was very bitter and harsh. Almost tasted as though it was burnt coffee. I saw people from Vietnam going crazy for this brand of milk tea. Lucky I had a chance to check it out when I visited Plano. I had the cashier recommended the green tea milk form with white pearls.
