Spaghetti and Ravioli with a meatball

Thank goodness we made reservations for dinner, because the restaurant was packed when we arrived. Not to mention, there was a line out the door, but we were seated right away. It took a little while for the server to stop by our table after being seated, and it wasn't very easy for us to flag him down when we were ready to order and pay the bill. Another staff member actually had to bring our bill because we had no idea where our server was. Not a great impression regarding service. Although I will say, the runners were great. As far as the food goes, I set my expectations super low since I've had a lot of disappointing meals in CO so far. Somehow this restaurant still managed to disappoint us all though. All of our dishes were so bland, with the exception of the salad and garlic knots. The garlic knots were probably the best thing we had during our meal. No amount of salt, pepper, parmesan, or red pepper flakes could've saved the entrees. My pasta was so floppy I could hardly pick it up with my fork, and the marsala sauce was lacking so much umami and other flavors. I could hardly taste the marsala and I personally don't like milk or cream added to the sauce--that's the first time I've had it that way and it's a hard pass. We left probably 90% of our food because it was that flavorless. Maybe the worst Italian food I've had out of all the restaurants I've dined at, in and outside of the U.S. More than $70 for this meal, not including the tip--definitely not worth it! I'll be cooking Italian meals at home from now on. Don't recommend.

It always about carb loading during training more so on race weekend. Nice bowl of pasta alway my go to day before the race. We found Italian spot near our BnB in Boulder. Gondolier Italian Eatery is lot nicer than it looks from the outside. It located in small shopping center on one end and really sign outside basic nothing sticks out. The minute walk inside impressed nice, modern, and upscale vibe to it. The bar area like set up decent size length and tv above, dining room assortment of tables to booths elevated above little bit and feel own space. It decent size restaurant in back enough room they do private party or events. The menu is pretty big and diverse. It defiantly has all your favorite Italian food and daily specials. I ended up ordering penne bolognese. I wanted try garlic knots so got order. They have do have Happy Hour menu. The pasta was delicious and hearty. Garlic knots nice and hot. Moist tore piece apart on point. It balance between buttery and garlic flavor. Overall classic Italian done right. The service five stars. Our server she was awesome!!

This was our bill for one pizza tonight. Definitely not worth $50

We were shocked when we picked up one $50 pizza! Beware each additional topping is 3 to 6 dollars. The pizza was just ok nothing special not even hot. We called in so did not see the pricing. Definitely not worth the price.

    Peach desert

Our favorite family restaurant has another great success with the end of summer specials. Palisade Peaches, wonderful garden fresh vegetables and delicious peach sangria! Absolutely fabulous! Always good but exceptional specials. You must have the peach dessert.

I went here the other night with my boyfriend as we found that since it was a Saturday night and the weather was beautiful, it was impossible to find a place that didn't have at least a forty-five wait. So we were pleased when this place was able to immediately seat us! Overall the service was great, the food was good for the price, and I had no complaints about this place! It won't blow your mind, but it's a good place to check out when you aren't willing to wait an hour for a spot at a restaurant on Pearl!

But I am glad we had time today and went shortly after they opened for brunch and really enjoyed ourselves. We decided to share one savory crepe and one sweet. They are very large yet delicate and we barely finished them. Our savory was the Parisian and the sweet was the classic lemon. They were perfect in every way. Order at the counter when you arrive and choose a seat in the dining area. It's classic white walls with art and wood tabletops and metal classic cafe chairs. The food was excellent, the French chef owner made the crepes and delivered them to the table. We had picked up our drinks as we paid before choosing a table. It's usually been full when I've seen pictures in the past but it was a very cold day and students at CU as well as other families just getting back from the holiday season. They also offer Build Your Own Crepe and we probably will next time. For a sweet crepe next time I would do one with Nutella but without any banana as many of the standard choices had. For savory next time I would take the Normandy. We chose quickly today as a line started forming behind us. I had looked online at the menu though my husband had not had time. A plan would be good. It appeared that the counter staff may also be family. It is such a welcoming place with really good food, not found elsewhere in Boulder. And very good pricing for quality and portion size. They opened in an unusual little spot, almost downtown but not quite, in the stretch along Broadway between CU and the Pearl St Mall. They have a small parking access to 4 shared spaces with the shop next door to it and the access is on Arapahoe. If you are staying at the large new hotels on the Hill it's an easy walk, the equivalent of one long block. If you know Boulder well and need to easily park, there is paid parking in the library lot across Broadway and an easy flat walk both ways.

All good. I loved having a view of the bustle of the restaurant and especially all the parties celebrating birthdays. A few employees would gather at the table while delivering dessert and sing happy birthday. A few patrons like me joined them in the serenade. Such a warm, family vibe. A lovely gentleman sat in the open bar stool next to me. Turns out he's a regular and longtime Boulder resident. He gave me some menu tips. Plus it was fun to learn about him and his business. I had the red wine on tap. Delicious and $9. Two favorite qualities in wine. I got the bolognese with linguini. It was beyond fabulous. Insert chef's kiss! I took a small container home because I knew it would make a perfect lunch the next day, and it was. The rolls are divine. Hard, crunchy exterior with softness on the interior. I had one there and brought a second home to enjoy with lunch the next day. I know how to live. I enjoyed a short chat with Mariano, the owner's son who basically grew up there.
