Seafood pancake is more like a oily deep-fried product rather than pan prepared. One compliment is that it has little oyster inside. The No.10 galbi tastes so wired--a wired sweetness, will not order or recommend this one. The ox tail soup has no salt inside, so initially it tastes like nothing, but we later figure out that we can add salt by ourselves, but the waiter didn't tell us at all. The most annoying thing is that they have no service at all during the whole process--not adding water/asking how it is going / give instructions on your dishes. They just put on the dishes and drop us to a to go box after we requested twice. What's more, they on purposely charge an extra $10 tips on top of our tips to our credit card, for which we didn't authorize!!! Come for the bone soup! There are different variations of soups with their bone broth but my boyfriend and I picked the tteokmandoogook and the Seol leong tang. The first dish is their renowned bone broth with rice cakes and dumplings. The dumplings are big and flavorful but there are only three in the bowl. The dumplings are very tasty so I only wish there were more! The second dish is the bone broth with noodles and an assortment of meats. The soup also comes with a bowl of rice. There's kimchi and pickled radish that also comes with the food. On the tables there's rock salt and pepper that you can add according to your tastes. I'm amazed with the broth because you can truly taste the flavor coming from the bones. The service was also pretty good. The server always refilled our waters and when our food was taking a while to come out, he apologized for the wait. I recommend reserving the seating because it's usually busy there and chances are you will need to wait before they find a seating that's fitting for your group. We had a family gathering of 10, and the service and food were excellent. I honestly don't know what some of the negative reviewers were complaining about. We ordered everything from soups (seolleong tang, kkori seolleong tang, yuk gae jang) and marinated meats (beef bulgogi, spicy pork), to the dumplings and steamed pork belly (bossam). Everything was brought out in a timely manner and was delicious, particularly the soups, beef bulgogi, and bossam (generous portions and super tender - perfect when properly eaten as a wrap with the provided cabbage, condiments, and fillings). The side dishes were good, too, with the radish kimchi being my favorite. My only minor complaint is that the size of the cabbage leaves for the bossam was slightly on the small side, but I was still happy to eat them all, and when I asked for more, they brought it out without much delay. The staff did a wonderful job accommodating our large party and all of our different requests. They were professional, helpful, and kind the entire time. Very impressed that they're able to keep up this level of service as a 24/7 restaurant. I definitely plan on going back. I had a great first experience here. We ordered the meat-only version of Suyuk; they brought out that ban chan (which consisted of some sort of HOT peppers, seaweed salad, kim chi-- which was AMAZING and cut fresh). The food took less than 5-10 minutes to come out. The meat itself wasn't hot at all (luke warm, at best), there were no noodles and it was very very bland. Honestly, it had a sort of a iridescent sheen to it, looked like sliced brains and was very fatty (I guess that's how it's supposed to be??). Funny the meat was borderline cold, as there was a sign in the middle wall near the table that said "OUR FOOD IS HOT, WE'RE NOT RESPONSIBLE IF YOU BURN YOURSELF." ... maybe they meant the soup. Anyway, fact is, if you're just starting out in the Korean food world, try Hahmji Bahk instead. It also came with some white colored soup, which didn't taste like anything. I wanted to get a soondubu (tofu soup), but they don't have it on their menu, which is odd since every Korean restaurant serves it. This place seems to specialize in stew. When you walk in, the only things listed with pictures are the $39.99 stews. Those seem to be big enough to share between 3-4 people. Their sulleongtang is solid but will be a bit bland for non-natives. Food = 4/5 -base broth is really good. Meat could be a bit better. You know, kind of smell when you don't wash off the bones/meat(which are collectively used to make this white broth) and they start to smell like a tub full of water that's been sitting in the middle of forest for years. Try their soups with various meat inside. I'd say first 4 soup/tang their menu is solid. If you finish the soup you can ask for refill!
