Seafood pancake is more like a oily deep-fried product rather than pan prepared. One compliment is that it has little oyster inside. The No.10 galbi tastes so wired--a wired sweetness, will not order or recommend this one. The ox tail soup has no salt inside, so initially it tastes like nothing, but we later figure out that we can add salt by ourselves, but the waiter didn't tell us at all. The most annoying thing is that they have no service at all during the whole process--not adding water/asking how it is going / give instructions on your dishes. They just put on the dishes and drop us to a to go box after we requested twice. What's more, they on purposely charge an extra $10 tips on top of our tips to our credit card, for which we didn't authorize!!! The quality of soups and the customer services were really bad. We ordered 2 kalby tangs (KT). When the waitress brought the 2 KTs to our table, one bowl had a normal portion of soup and meat size but the second one had little meat but with a big bone and half portion of soup. I asked the waitress why this happened, and she said bc the cook was not happy, so forth and so on....then I told the waitress that was not right to treat customers that way, and I asked her to give us more soup to the bowl that had only the "half" portion of soup. Then the waitress cut the Kalby meat of one of the KT that had a normal portion, and she picked some of the meat there and she put it into the other bowl that was, obviously, less portion of meat and soup. What a rudeness and awful customer services! Furthermore, it took at least 10 minutes for her to bring us a "small" bowl of clear seasoned soup, which didn't have the flavor of the original soup of KT. I felt not respected and the customers services were unacceptable. I'll not go back and I do not recommend this place to anyone. read more

HITS EVERY SINGLE TIME ONG seolleongtang is always good and their kimchi and kkakdugi is always my fav. We tried their soondae for the first time and it's really good, way better than expected. I recommend reserving the seating because it's usually busy there and chances are you will need to wait before they find a seating that's fitting for your group. Come for the bone soup! There are different variations of soups with their bone broth but my boyfriend and I picked the tteokmandoogook and the Seol leong tang. The first dish is their renowned bone broth with rice cakes and dumplings. The dumplings are big and flavorful but there are only three in the bowl. The dumplings are very tasty so I only wish there were more! The second dish is the bone broth with noodles and an assortment of meats. The soup also comes with a bowl of rice. There's kimchi and pickled radish that also comes with the food. On the tables there's rock salt and pepper that you can add according to your tastes. I'm amazed with the broth because you can truly taste the flavor coming from the bones. The service was also pretty good. The server always refilled our waters and when our food was taking a while to come out, he apologized for the wait. Their food is soooooooo good!!!! I'm surprised that they don't have a higher rating. You came for "--tang" you gonna get it!!!! The place is not that big, so you might be sitting next to someone you may not know (talking about the huge table seating area in the middle). It's one of the fastest services you'll get at a Korean food place. You can't beat ANY of their sullongtang or I've just been missing out. The radish is actually pretty good-- their kimchee is OKAY at the best. Make sure to mix in the green onions and salt & pepper that is on the table. The sullongtang is going taste BLAND if you don't put that in. I'm a crazy adventurous eater so I like all of them-- but if you want to stick with regular meat eating style-- go with just the one meat. Their prices are extremely reasonable too. Bunch of friends and I came here after a night out. Everything was pretty good, but nothing to write home about. I was surprised at how busy it was at 2:30 AM! We had orders of spicy tofu soup, bulgogi, ox tail soup, and spicy naengmyun. The only gripe I had was that the ox tail soup was too much on the salty side. The service was good as well. The Beau and I came here at 8.30p on a Sunday night, to a pretty packed restaurant. A female waitress took over when she noticed we had been sitting for a little while with hot water, diet coke and no food on the table. The most appetizing thing on the menu was the plate suyuk, which we *thought* was going to come with noodles. We ordered the meat-only version of Suyuk; they brought out that ban chan (which consisted of some sort of HOT peppers, seaweed salad, kim chi-- which was AMAZING and cut fresh). The food took less than 5-10 minutes to come out. The meat itself wasn't hot at all (luke warm, at best), there were no noodles and it was very very bland. Honestly, it had a sort of a iridescent sheen to it, looked like sliced brains and was very fatty (I guess that's how it's supposed to be??). Funny the meat was borderline cold, as there was a sign in the middle wall near the table that said "OUR FOOD IS HOT, WE'RE NOT RESPONSIBLE IF YOU BURN YOURSELF." ... maybe they meant the soup. Anyway, fact is, if you're just starting out in the Korean food world, try Hahmji Bahk instead. My friend and I ordered the bibimbap (rice, veggies, and beef cooked in a stone bowl served with an egg). It is mediocre and pretty small in size compared to other Korean places. It also came with some white colored soup, which didn't taste like anything. I wanted to get a soondubu (tofu soup), but they don't have it on their menu, which is odd since every Korean restaurant serves it. This place seems to specialize in stew. When you walk in, the only things listed with pictures are the $39.99 stews. Those seem to be big enough to share between 3-4 people.
