Sliced beef bone soup (seol leong tang)
Nadine L.

We live closer to Annandale, but we always make the 20 min drive here just for some comfort Korean food! The seollongtang is our main go but we also sometimes get the dumplings and seafood pancake! Kimchi appetizers are also phenomenal. The service is fast and food is always great!

This spot got me into Seol Leong Tang! A comforting meal in a cozy restaurant. They have a big glass window which showcases their big pot of broth that is always boiling. Open 24 hours makes it the perfect spot for late night meals. Their service is mediocre but the food and happy memories formed here will bring you back. I do like that they offer ice water or hot tea upon arrival.

This place was just SO good. We pulled up to this place approaching 9pm. This is gonna sound weird but- it was very authentically Korean ambiance. Like as soon as you walk in, you're greeted from across the room and seated. Reminded me of my own home country! There was plentyyyy of seating and an extensive authentically Korean menu- like there was no fries on this thing. There were burners on the table for stews I'm assuming. Our food came out in sensible timing and was SO HOT AND SO GOOD. Perfectly seasoned (like so good) and a wonderful sizeable portion. There was also one lovely elderly lady working who kept walking around and checking in on people which was lovely. This place is open for 24 HOURS- so I would really love to pull up at a random time like 3am!

Spicy Seafood Noodle Soup (Jjamppong)

It was a large portion for $15.99, and they provide a plastic container to take home any leftovers. It was packed with seafood, and the staff were friendly. The place was warm and clean. I definitely recommend it.

Their seafood hamul pajun (seafood pancake) is delicious. The pancakes are crispy and filled with chunks of seafood. There are a plethora of soups to choose from and since it is open 24 hours, it's a great spot to visit any time of day!

A korean stew spot thats open 24 hours is just what i need. Sick? Grab a hearty bone broth stew. Hungover? Cure it with some soothing stew. Hungry? They are open All day. I got the army stew/budaejjigae and it was delicious. The spam and ramen noodles was exactly what i needed.

This place always hits the spot for us. The food is always so good and the servers are always friendly. We tend to always get the Kalbi Tang soup and the steamed pork belly that comes with yummy sides to eat together with. Our kids love the mandu Grab some soju and Terra and enjoy the delicious meal!

It was very traditional Korean food and soups. The flavors were good and everything was solid. Not too much to say about it, everything was expected. You can see the huge pot that they get the broth from, probably just always cooking it. On a cold night, a good Korean soup always hits the spot. Service was a bit slow due to just having one server for the whole place. Interior decorations make it look like you're in Korea.

Food here is really good! Been here a long time ago and decided to come back and was not disappointed! This place advertises that it is open 24 hours which is great for anyone who wants a late night snack. Be mindful that the soups do come unsalted so you would need to do that yourself.

Braised beef

The place was gorgeously decorated! Even though it was 11pm, the place was packed. The restaurant is open 24/7 and the smell of cooking food hits you once you walk in. The waiting staff is nice but they speak minimal English. Bone broth with tendon: it wasn't for me. There isn't much flavor with bone broth but there was a lot of tendon! I was hoping for some dipping sauce with the tendon but there was none. I tried adding salt and pepper but the salt was a bit chunky and much more salty than table salt. I liked that it came with a side of rice and had noodles in it. 4/10 Braised beef: this was really good! Full of flavor and had veggies, rice cake, noodles, and plenty of tender meat. 9/10 The kimchi had a much more sour flavor than other kimchi I've had and I wasn't a huge fan. I did like the pickled radish though. I'm not sure if it was a misunderstanding but the server told me I couldn't take the left over kimchi home but then later gave me a takeout box for it. Overall the service was nice and the food price was average. It was a cute place and it was great that it's open 24/7.

Galbi Tang- Ox Beef short rib soup

Consistently good food, their soups have the best broth- rich and flavorful. The best part is they are open 24/7- ideal for late night meals after a party to have some hangover soup etc.

Kimchi jjigae

I love how this is 24/7. It's like a wall in hole and been around for a while. It's this old Korean grandma that served us. It's very cozy. They have this big soup bowl that they stir and make sure to scoop out the fat. They serve their food with msg. We got kimchi jjigae it wasn't the best but it was pretty good. The ox tail soup (wang galbi tang) you eat with putting salt and black pepper and rice and kimchi in it. The bossam was interesting because it felt fresh and steamed vs smoked and crunchy flavor.

As soon as we got seated, we were offered water right away. While waiting for our orders, we were served a lot of banchan or appetizers. We ordered La Bboki for appetizer and Bulgogi Dol Sot Bibimbap (or bulgogi rice bowl) and Bi Bim Naeng Myun (or cold buckwheat noodles) for entrees. All the servings are huge - I honestly wished we skipped the appetizer. My bibimbap was delicious! The sauce wasn't as spicy as I expected which I loved. My date loved his order as well. The service was fantastic! The aunties were very hands-on with all the guests. The prices are reasonable for the quality and quantity of the food they offer. I'd love to return here and try other dishes.

My favorite thing is they don't just serve water, they serve bottomless hot tea! Yes the food is good, but how often do you get served unlimited tea? Appetizers are a bit on the pricey side ranging from $9 to $19, however the more expensive ones are large portion sizes. We couldn't finish both the appetizer and entree before getting full. Entrees are the typical prices between $15 to $20 with the special dishes being more than that. The 4 star is mostly because of the prices, but the experience was good. The service is great and everyone is very attentive and ready to recommend dishes and provide refills.

The fact that there is chicken feet available at a restaurant that isn't Chinese is mind-blowing to me. I've never seen nor heard any other culture prepare chicken feet let alone see it as an option on the menu. Well, my world has expanded now. We split this meal for dinner since we weren't too hungry. The chicken feet were flavorful and soft. It was indeed spicy but not to the point where I didn't enjoy my meal. I loved the rice balls as well. In fact, they were so delicious that I would have been happy just eating rice balls as my main meal. The staff also provided gloves to eat chicken feet though I am not used to eating them in this way, so opted for chopsticks only. On a separate note, I also ran into a local "celebrity" who does online food reviews while dining in, so you know this place must be good. While dining in, I couldn't help but remember how freezing it was though other than that, the staff was pleasant. We also got a hot sake for the table so that probably warmed me up a bit.

It also came with kimchi and a sweet-and-spicy gochujang sauce to add as you like. The bibimbap was excellent. The julienned vegetables added a satisfying crunch, while the combination of rice and bulgogi was tasty, wholesome, and hearty. Their other dishes are reasonably priced, too. The King Donkatsu costs $20 and is a large, panko-breaded, deep-fried pork cutlet. It tastes great and is big enough to share with two or three people. I haven't found anywhere else in the DMV that serves quality Korean comfort food at this price. The owner is incredibly kind and welcoming, which makes the experience even better. Next time, I'm coming back for the stone pot bibimbap and kimbap. I saw a table of non-Korean customers enjoying them cutting the kimbap like steak and eating the hot stone bibimbap with forks and they still cleaned their plates despite the huge portions That said it all. My only "complaint" is that the king donkatsu is so huge it takes forever to cut it into pieces... but that's definitely a good problem to have! Highly recommend Morak for authentic Korean food, great portions, and friendly service!
