Highly recommend this place if you want some dimsum in Brooklyn (Ave U)! This spot is a little small but the dimsum is really good ($3.25 each). The roast duck was really good, a little cold but still super delicious. Service was really fast. Only thing I would keep in mind is that they don't really speak English and you might need to share a table with other parties if it's really packed.

Love this place! There are 3 locations. Buns are always yummy! They sometimes run out of the good stuff. My favorites are the sticky rice bun, scallions buns, mini roast pork buns.

This is the latest addition to the Golden Steamer chain of Chinese bakeries that has recently opened in Bensonhurst. I have been a lover of steamed pork buns or bao since I was a kid. Most non Asians go for the baked version but is the harder to find steamed kind I love. Golden Steamers version is perfect. Soft, warm, sweet and savory with lots of pork in a great sauce. I believe they are better than the over rated ones at Hop Shing in Chinatown. They sell them along with many other sweet and savory varieties both hot out of their steamer or pre packaged. 6 prepackaged buns for 4 bucks is an absolute steal. I freeze them and heat them up in my steamer. They also sell many other goodies, the place is clean and bright and the young ladies are sweet and very helpful.

The staff were extremely friendly and gave us suggestions how to make the food taste better when at home. The egg tart, bread, and dimsum dishes were all great.

Four words: GET THE SESAME BALLS. Service - 100x better than other Chinese bakeries. Food - They make mini buns. We got a pineapple bun and a pork sung bun (not pictured because we scarfed them down so quickly). At the price of 3 for $1.25, how can you go wrong?! Let's put it this way. We got 13 sesame balls (only because they didn't have more) and 2 buns. The best $6.25 ever spent. Yummmmmmm!

Food quality : 5/5 Interior deco : 4/5 Service : 4/5 I love their cheung fun and Phoenix claw. I also like buy 3 bun for 1.50$, so I could choose 3 small bun to satisfy me. It is a pretty small place, but it doesn't matter to me. I eat it at my work. The co-worker are nice, but what piss me off is when I ask I want a freshly made one cheung fun. I don't mind waiting. But they lie about the one on the counter are fresh. It is obviously not fresh, because the onion all became yellow. I get that they want to serve the old ones first. Oh well, I will only buy when they make me a fresh one.

I really like this place. On the way to work I stop by to get a small cup of coffee and delicious spicy fried noodles or any kind of noodles. All noodles are good!

This is my go-to weekend dim sum spot! I'm here every other week for their dim sum and never spend more than $15 to fill two people up. The service here is one of the best I've seen at a bakery. Generally, service is not high up on the priority list for Chinese eateries. The original Golden Steamer location is a few avenues down under the Bay Parkway train station. The service there is definitely not as good as it is at this location. The best part about dim sum at this bakery, besides the price, is their fresh rice rolls! They have beef, pork, shrimp, and dried shrimp with cilantro. The rice rolls are so smooth and that's what got us coming back here again and again. The -1 star is for running out of items. Since they are a small bakery they only make small batches of the dim sum so if you come at the wrong time, they might be out of certain dishes.

They use pieces of beef unlike the other bakeries where they use minced beef

Get the "20 mini dumplings + drink of your choice". Seriously, I'm getting hungry just writing this review. Food: I ordered the 20 mini dumplings and drink combo, substituting the soda option for taro boba (+$4), totaling around $18 after tax! The dumplings are mini, but they are filled with so much flavor it's unbelievable. They each have a bit of soup in them that is so flavorful and not salty. There is also a slight bit of crispiness on the outside of each dumpling before the inside just melts in your mouth. It's unbelievably good. The taro boba is also well done. It's not too sweet, and the boba pearls are a unique level of like not that chewy and feel almost like popping boba?! Service: Friendly service! My friend and I did to-go, but the staff were all quite friendly. There is also a kiosk to order from if in a rush. Ambiance: It's a very clean restaurant and spacious. However, since there were so many people waiting for the viral item, we formed essentially a crowd outside the steps. The wait took about half an hour, and then my friend and I walked just down a couple of blocks to the Brooklyn Heights promenade, which has the most stunning view of the Manhattan skyline.

We were skeptical about this restaurant but it exceeded our expectations and we can't wait to return! We came on a weekend for dinner so it was busy! We were able to snag a table and seeing how busy this place was, we knew it was going to be good! We had the pork XLB, chicken feet, pork & vegetable wontons with spicy peanut sauce, noodles with scallion and peanut butter sauce, beef lo mein and the beef ribs. Everything was delicious! The highlights of our meal were the pork XLB and the beef ribs. The pork XLB were made fresh to order and they were flavorful and juicy! Definitely on my list of best XLB I have ever had. The beef ribs were also delicious! They torched it table side which definitely added a nice touch! Considering how busy they were, the service was immaculate. They were also very attentive to details since we had a kid with allergies. We will definitely be coming back soon. This place is also right next to the Court Street train station which makes it very convenient to get to!

That could've been because of a mix of reasons (nor'easter, late arrival, small party, holiday, etc.). I think they trend on social media, so you'll see a mix of people dining. One of my favorite places because it's close, they have chrysanthemum tea, which I feel many places don't have anymore, they serve my favorite variation of the chive dumpling, they have a lot of newer or unique dishes, + they're on the cheaper end. They're also open for dinner + have a few good dishes on that menu too. *recommended What I Ordered: - chrysanthemum tea*: light, sweet, approachable + refreshing - chive dumplings*: comes in many variations, this place is pan fried with a wonton skin- my fav! - pork dumpling (siu mai): a classic, more meaty here + no(?) shrimp mixed in, not my fav version - shrimp ball w mushroom: new dish (for me), very soft + airy - fried shrimp in red rice roll*: also a unique dish, crispy + soft, so good when it's fresh! - custard bun: cute pig decor, my fav filling for a bun, sweet but not too much - turnip cake: not good, too doughy + the oyster sauce is too salty - shrimp stuffed eggplant: same shrimp mix as the balls?, too oily - egg custard bread bowl: new dish (for me), lightly sweet filling w sesame aroma, I didn't care for the bread

The most recent time, I was here for their dim sum brunch, which is either $36 for AYCE plus $2 for tea, or they price each thing individually. It was a bit annoying that the tea was not included, but at least both the Oolong and Chrysanthemum teas were good quality and readily filled. Service in general was pretty fast and frequently checked on our large semi- private table to see if we needed anything else to order or more tea. The dim sum selection is a bit smaller than many of the traditional dim sum spots, but the overall quality was excellent, with a couple of definite highlights and some more unique dishes such as dumplings with pickled shrimp, crawfish, or Taizhou rice along with Ningbo wontons. In general, I would say that the wrappers were properly thin and everything was filled generously. The aforementioned Pickled Pepper Shrimp Dumplings were one of the highlights. The slightly spicy and sour pickles made it taste very light and paired nicely with the plump shrimp. In terms of other shrimp dim sum, their version of Har Gow/Crystal Shrimp Dumplings included a little bit of sweet crab for an extra touch. It was also tasty. I also liked the Ningbo wontons, filled with a variety of ingredients including minced pork, dried shrimp, yard long beans, pickled vegetables, bamboo shoots, and others. It had a wonderful mix of textures with some interesting crunchy notes. Another unique option mentioned is their Crawfish Dumplings, which are very noticeable compared to the other dumplings due to their bright red color. I appreciated the spiciness but found these a tad fishy with a thicker wrapper than most, but others loved these and ordered more. For more standard dumplings, their Xiao Long Bao/XLB were pretty good, and they had a tasty version of Sticky Rice Pork Siu Mai. The Baked Pork Buns were good as they were not too sticky sweet. Finally, there was a decent version of Pork Dumplings in Chili Oil. Non-dumpling highlights included their excellent turnip cakes along with steamed spare ribs, chicken feet, and a particularly tasty version of steamed beef tripe with satay sauce. I would skip the Beef Short Ribs With Black Pepper, which had good flavor but was way too chewy. I know someone else ordered the spring rolls, but I don't remember trying them. They also apparently now have a Ningbo speciality called Shi Bing Tong, but I don't remember ordering it. Someone else got their simple and tasty porridge/congee, only available traditionally with pork and century eggs, and enjoyed it. I tried a bit, and it was indeed good. Desserts included a tasty Crispy Durian Pastry, alright Sesame Balls, a good Pineapple Bun/Bolo Bao, and Custard Buns, which everyone loved, but they had a cuttlefish ink shine, so I couldn't try them. This is a fantastic, reasonably priced AYCE Dim Sum. Would recommend it if they still offer this deal.

What an experience beyond your wildest dream to occur during NYC Restaurant Week accompanied with a complimentary beverage in 2025, 2026, and hopefully again in 2027. Mito's food consistency continues to be unmatched with their three course restaurant week lunch. In 2026, the Mito lunch menu: - Complimentary passion fruit Mojito (non-alcoholic) - had an interesting carbonated taste with a mojito sensation on the palette. Difficult to explain this non-alcoholic mojito taste, which was a first time experience. In 2025's NYC Restaurant Week, Mito had the most delightful and perfectly paired red wine also complimentary with my restaurant week three course lunch menu. - In 2026, tried a different appetizer, Shrimp Shumai 8pcs accompanied with sweet soy sauce - was worth the food leap! The shrimp was succulent encased in a melt in your mouth wrap. This was my first time tasting shumai because I usually would have shrimp dumplings from a Chinatown restaurant in Lower Manhattan. Fortunately, shumai was an elevated taste of simple shrimp goodness much better than shrimp dumplings. By the time I remembered a food picture, four shrimp shumai were already gone and digested in pure delight. - Crispy Red Snapper 5pcs caramelized soy sauce, rice wine vinaigrette - was paired with fried rice as each crispy red snapper filet had scallion & caramelized sauce. Each delicious snapper bite was accompanied with a sampling of fried rice. However, the fried rice finished before the red snapper was all gone. Each bite of crispy snapper was better than the last bite. - Waffle Sandwich Ice Cream 4 pcs, choice of matcha - the difficulty was choosing your hand or utensils to cut into this matcha ice cream waffle goodness. The waffle enclosed creamy matcha ice cream leaving you craving for more.
