These employees are the greatest for understanding their menu snd they speak Spanish so it makes it easier for me to understand

First time at Golden Chick and we were impressed! We used the drive through which was fast. I had a two piece breast and wing fried chicken with fried okra and a 3 piece fried shrimp. My wife had the spicy chicken sandwich. Everything was hot, perfectly cooked and delicious. The breast was huge and the filet in the sandwich was much bigger than you get at Chik Fil A. liked that it came with thicker pickle chips and a mayo type sauce that was delicious.Will go again. read more

I'm gonna tell you the same thing I told Dickey's barbecue more than one time on a review. Step up to the plate -- do better. You have really good food. That's why I want to go to your restaurant. But your service is not up to par. My husband and I have learned if we come to your restaurant on 14th St. in Plano that we will not walk out with exactly what we ordered. We are always missing some of what we paid for. I've even written the order down for you and handed it to you so you could look at the order when you are putting everything in the sack. It's tough for a fast food joint to get 5 stars from me. Fried chicken place perhaps more difficult. Pros: chicken fingers - (regular & spicy) were hot, fresh and yum! Rolls- amazing and so tasty. Wow! Could eat a bunch. Little Side salad - this shouldn't be of mention but it was fresh and tasty. A real value. Cream Gravy: spot on. Nothing unusual or unexpected. Just consistent Dining area & restrooms were clean and well lit. Cashiers. Pleasant and courteous. Value for $ deal was quite good. Drink included. I did the drive thru to try the Fletchers corn dog. Service was quick. Communication was good. Dogs had been pre-cooked but were still warm. I prefer them to be right off the fryer- really hot. But at least they were still fairly crispy. They supplied Heinz mustard. They actually tasted pretty good. Better than I can remember at the Fair! $5.00 is no bargain however. Customer service was horrible. I ordered 2 catfish meals through the drive thru and was told it was a 7 min wait which turned into 25 min and I had to go inside and check on my order.And they never started cooking it . The young girl upfront has an attitude when I told her how long I had to wait and no one came out to let me know that it was going to take longer. I counted at least 5 people that went in for food and left and I still did not receive my food. I will take my business elsewhere. And I will be reaching out to corporate. They advertise a 20 piece family meal with two sides and then when I order it they tell me they stopped selling that combo a week ago, which forced me to buy more food than I need. I ended up buying a 25 piece meal with three sides for one adult and three kids for $10 more. When I asked for the manager he refused to come to the window and speak with me about this. The food here is never right, it always takes them forever to prepare and I always have to bring my food back. I only come here because my children like the food and it's the closest Golden chick to my house .They really need to work on their customer service. Stopped in for a chicken sandwich to try it out. Nice and fresh, well fried. Compared to my current favorite (Chick Fil A), I'd say this one leans sweeter, probably the sauce mostly, and the batter lacks pepper. But the chicken was super-fresh and the batter was flaky-crisp - really nice. Now I know that I want to go back and try their regular fried chicken, because it wasn't greasy and that's a huge plus in my book! read more

So I literally just got home from picking up dinner, and I ordered the 4 piece chicken tenders with half sweet, half unsweetened tea. The quality of the food was fine, it was fresh, but my order was incorrect and the cashier clearly didn't want to be at work. I placed my order and she repeated it correctly but with an attitude. Get to the window, her demeanor was terrible and she just took my card, no greeting, no smile, nothing. Because of Covid-19 and taking all necessary precautions, I'm watching her to see how she handles my drink being that she isn't wearing gloves and has touched God knows how many debit cards and cash being at the window, not to mention she rubs her face in disgust as she is taking the next order. She makes my drink, places the lid on it (after touching her face) and grips the top of my cup with her whole hand and hands it to me. Yeah...I'm not drinking that. She then hands me my food, no words spoken, and closes the window. After I get home and throw what could have been a perfectly good drink away, I open the box to see that I got half regular and half spicy tenders. This sucks because I don't eat spicy food. I can't eat it. No where in my order did I say anything about spicy tenders. The cashier wasn't paying attention. I did say half and half sweet tea which I watched her make, but not the chicken. Where the hell did she get that from. Rather than go back to the restaurant, I just ate what I could, which was two friggin chicken tenders, fries, and drank my own water. Normally when I come here, I get good service. Again, the food was fresh but that girl needs to fix her attitude, take sanitation seriously (especially now) and pay attention. I'm still hungry. We were slammed at work today & once I finally got off work needed a quick family meal to go, ordered a total of 30 Chicken Tenders 1/2 Regular & 1/2 Spicy, Mashed Potatoes, Mac & Cheese & Cole Slaw. Also added catfish filets to order. The order was freshly made, quickly put together & they were generous with bread rolls. Staff was very friendly & welcoming, recognized me from previous visit (probably because of my work uniform). If you like spicy chicken the tenders with zing seasoning can't be beat. The store also just had recent remodeling and looks great both inside and out, well worth the investment to further improve customer experience.
