El Pollo Loco - Fast Food Near Me - Richardson, Texas

The air conditioning was broke in the building and it was hot with no air movement at all. The floors on the back to the bathrooms were so slick I felt like I was standing on ice. The food was okay. My tacos had way too much cilantro and the pop machine was out of ice so we couldn't have cold drinks. The service was good and I feel bad for all of the employees having to work in such rough conditions. Overall not a great experience. read more

I ate here with my daughters and while we went to the bathroom they threw all of our food and drinks away. We had not even eaten half of it. read more

Overall a good experience. Too much creamy chipotle on the quesadillas, made them soggy. We were served quickly and it was a quiet inside. It's a great concept with better options than just burgers. read more

On the day I stopped in the ac was not working. The chicken was dry and not very good. And the hall to the restrooms was so slippery with grease or oil something to that effect that I could have skated down the hall and I could barely stand straight up with how slippery the bathroom floor itself was. read more

Every time I come here for my lunch I get greeted with a smile and their service is fast and friendly. Personally I Love their taco salad they are the bomb. THE BEST EVER!!!! read more

Y'all, this is my favorite spot for a fast food meal- the team is always so friendly- Gloria always remembers me, and the food is hot and fresh- so delicious! The dining room is super cute and always spotless clean! Can't wait for my next Double Chicken Bowl!! read more

Staff is always nice. Food is always fresh. Order is always correct! Bathrooms are always clean and so is front.

Ordered through Grubhub and was missing an item. Tried to call them and they never answered the phone. Contacted Grubhub to complain, but there's no phone number for them. One top of this, my order was one full hour late. They offered a $5.00 credit on my next order, (which will NEVER happen). The $5.00 doesn't even cover the missing item. As far as I'm concerned both Grubhub and this El Pollo Loco store are a full rip off!!!! I'll Never order from either again!!!!!! read more

Great customer Service. Delicious grilled chicken with fresh sides--fast, flavorful, and always satisfying!

Food is fresh and the staff friendly and professional. The Richardson location is always clean and the service is fast.

My husband and I came to check it out for lunch and the double chicken taco salad was delish.

Came in for lunch, washed my hands after eating and accidentally left my wedding rings in the bathroom. Remembered within 30 minutes and someone had taken them. Employees were absolutely NO help. Would not review the cameras to see who might have entered the restroom after I did. There was only one other table of customers and employees in the restaurant! Suspicious!!! Left message for management and no one would call back. read more

The fire-grilled chicken was average. Not bad, but not great. The restaurant itself is very clean and the staff is very friendly. read more

Food is delish most of the time. Extremely disappointed!!! Price continues to rise and now chicken portions are VERY small. Lucky if you get more than a few ounces of meat from two pieces (leg and thigh). Leg was the size of my thumb and thigh was maybe 2 ounces. They should let customers know that the chickens are miniature chickens. Not worth it anymore for me. read more

We came July 8, 2022 at 12 noon. Cashier, a guy, not only does he not smile, he did not speak, he just looked at us. We got our food, we asked for more salsa, same thing he won't even acknowledge our presence at the counter. Let's say, he will certainly NOT win any "good service" award. Food is okay. Service bad. read more

Thanks for the excellent service Iris!!! The food was amazing and I loved the ambiance of the store itself.

This is a really nice fast food Mexican restaurant in Richardson by Richardson Square Mall. The ingredients are fresh and the grilled chickens you see being cooked behind the counter are seasoned well. Service is good. On my last visit I had the avocado chicken taco and chipotle burrito. Both were great. I live 580 miles away from the closest El Pollo Loco. Sometimes life is not fair. read more

Great customer service! I recommend them! Delicious chicken and food. Ambiance was good.

Food always comes out great here! So much flavor. Honestly not sure why its not more popular. I'm from California and the food taste even better than home. Salsa still spot on. The beans are a different style than cali and actually even better! Great service. Super clean inside. read more

El Pollo Loco is still my favorite fast food joint and has been since i lived in Cali. Please open more in DFW.

I ordered tacos through the drive up window and devoured them. So fast, I didn't get a photo. The chicken could have used some seasoning but the tacos were full of meat and they were awesome! Staff was nice too! This new location is on a roll. Keep it up! read more

Terrible management, incompetent workers!! I ask for no sour cream on the intercom and at the window. Manager looks me in my eyes and said no cheese no sour cream. First bite I take is all sour cream. This burrito went straight to the trash. Will go to chipotle next time. read more

We picked up a takeout meal tonight from El Pollo Loco. It was hot, delicious & the chicken moist. Every quarter they have some new menu items which change & we like to give those a try. Our current favorite is the 2-piece chicken with 1 tamale and rice & beans, for only $6.45. We like that there's a fresh option of avocado to add to your meals & some entrees come automatically with fresh avocado. On the regular menu we like the tostado bowls which are more like a chicken taco salad. You can't beat that fresh salsa bar. Mmmmmmm read more

My son and daughter had the three-piece chicken with two sides. Their sides were macaroni and cheese and broccoli. My daughter also ordered a taco that through the app it was requested not to put the sauce on there, which they did, which she did not like and overpowered the taco as well as make the tortilla soggy. The vegetables had no seasoning. The macaroni and cheese, according to them was worse than the box stuff from Kraft. I had the cheesy chicken and rice bowl, which was average at best. I also had the shredded chicken taco, that was probably the best thing outside of the salsa itself. Five, and the shredded chicken taco a three. My wife had the shredded beef stuffed quesadilla as well as the avocado chicken taco. Both were average. I like the thickness of the chips, however the flavor was non-existent. I had high hopes for the new items that were on the menu, but was let down. Don't think I'll get the family to try this again. Not sure about me. read more

The food is always delicious this was my second time eating here and the service was not as great this time around. We received order in the drive thru and as soon as I grabbed the order she said "did we forget something?" I felt as if we were being rushed to pull off when she said that and lo and behold they forgot my salad order. Had to go in store and as I was letting the young man at register know that they forgot my salad in a nice way, they yelled from back we making it! Like it startled me and as I walked out the door someone made a remark and I heard snickering. Not cool at all. The staff needs to be mindful of how they speak to and treat their customers. read more

Tried it out today and the burrito was delicious but it was kinda salty.! I don't know if it was the meat or rice and beans will give it another try soon .! read more

I've only been to El Pollo Loco a couple times in CA with a positive experience so was hoping for the same here. Went to the drive thru a couple times now and the ordering process, speed and food have been great. Very tasty food and I like how new this place looks. In CA they always kinda look run down. Maybe it's the building design. Anyway, great place for food if you like both chicken and mainstream Hispanic/Latin food. My niece loves this place too. read more

When I lived in So Cal for a few years, El Pollo Loco was one of my go-to stops for healthier higher quality fast food. I was so happy when it came to Texas. Happy to say that it still delivers fresh tasty food options. I wish they'd bring back the delicious black beans. The Beltline/Plano Rd location always does a good job. The staff is always pleasant and the chicken is always moist and fresh. read more

Terrible service. I pulled through the drivethru and place an order for one chicken salad. She just took my car, charged it, gave it back and said park on the side and wait for the order. I parked on the side and it took 15 minutes for the order! Nobody pulled through the drivethru in the time span I spent parked waiting for the order. She had terrible attitude. She wasn't wearing a name tags but had a zip up black hoodie. Worst customer service ever. read more
