Choose fried boneless tenders, chicken bites, or fried cauliflower bites with fries, a slice of bread, and pickles. Then pick your level of hot which ranges from low to high heat. Make sure to grab their sauce and some honey as well. The service can be slow which has been my experience every time I visit but the food is really good. read more

Long time Dave's fan here. I was there the day this location opened. Aside from a few so-so experiences early on it's been pretty consistently good. That brings us to yesterday. Got our usual order, two sliders w/cheese which looked a little off. Took a bite and it was not juicy, did not taste like brined chicken, had no crisp to the skin. On closer inspection it looked far more like a tender than the filet we were accustomed to. Typically the filet covers and is much bigger than the bun but these were much, much smaller like a tender. This was the case for three out of the four sandwiches in our order. Additionally the spice level was way off which has been an issue for Dave's from time to time. I ordered extra hot and there was very little heat. The spice level is manageable but the poor quality of the chicken is unacceptable. The fries were also stiff and subpar to match entire meal. I don't mind paying a premium for a high quality chicken sandwich but I expect it to live up to its price tag. This unfortunately did not. read more

When I compare the amount of food you get with the price you pay, versus the other popular chicken finger place, not far from here, It was a little surprising. Once I got the food, I understood better. The chicken fingers at Dave's is more than twice the size of the competitors chicken fingers, so it becomes a wash. Thing is, they've got all different levels of spice/heat on these things. I love that. This was my first visit at Dave's Hot Chicken, and it did not disappoint. I got the number three combo, medium, plus I got an additional two chicken fingers. I'm not a big fan of slaw, especially on a sandwich, so I asked for it on the side. I gave it a try and added some to the sandwich, it's just not my thing. Perfectly happy with the sandwich/slider without slaw, and it was great. The two additional chicken fingers I got, I got as mild, just in case the medium was a bit too much. The medium was perfectly satisfying without being too hot. The mild was really good as well, but I think I'll stick with the medium when I come back. read more

Had higher hopes! Building look fabulous, food quality, meh, cold. Ordered the single sandwich (medium hot) with FF's. The glass they give you for water is the size of a Dixie cup, way too small. Also, why do businesses that have counter service try to intimidate customers into tipping...especially starting with 18%??!! I am an excellent tipper, but it should be for full service, those employees only make $2.13 an hour. Sadly I will not be a repeat customer. read more

Visited this location yesterday evening for the first time. Called ahead to order as we always do when ordering from Dave's and we were informed that they cannot take orders over the phone. Online ordering was not processing. Arrived and ordered a hot box of sandwiches with cheese (1/2 hot 1/2 extra hot) and a vanilla milk shake. We showed the cashier the QR on my phone as I do every time I go to Dave's and she told me about ten times to move the phone to different places to scan it without providing clear instructions. Once scanned, she told us there were no points available to redeem. We informed her we were trying to earn points on the order not redeem. She kept repeating that we had no points to redeem and we kept informing her that was not what we were trying to do. Finally, another staff member came over and we told her what we were trying to do and she repeated what we said to the cashier and told her nothing else was needed. We then requested the military discount as we always do at Dave's, the cashier was unable to locate the discount and suggested that it had been discontinued until we asked for someone else to help her. A woman who I assumed to be management, came over and assisted. She discovered the issue and fixed it. Once applied, the discount was only 10% (not sure if this is standard for this location as every other Dave's we have been to has provided a 30% military discount). We paid, received the milkshake and waited for the order. The order came out relatively quickly. The ambiance was casual and clean. We ate and shared these sandwiches once home. This morning, we all woke up with stomach aches and felt sick. These sandwiches were the only shared meal that all of us had so we attributed the illness to them. We finally tried the famous Dave's Hot Chicken and it is lacking. First of all they don't even serve fried chicken, it's all tendies. Then they just throw the dry spices on the tendies, there's no oil or fat, just some dry dust. Then they rest this dusty tendy on a slice of white bread like don't y'all even know what the bread is for? There is nothing to soak up off of this dusty white meat. Like cool now my breads all dusty? Sauce is mid, pickles barely picklin. And it's expensive. My first instinct was to give is 1 star because Ricky's and Hattie B's are infinitely better.
