Even their website looks like it was built 30 years ago with practically no information. That's my only ding on them, and it's on corporate and not the location. I've been trying to help them update their website, branding, and marketing materials for two years, but they don't seem to care. It's too bad because their food is delicious and I think most people just drive by and wonder if they are still in business.

The colors are vibrant yellow and it just feels like a taco restaurant in Mexico. You order at the counter and they call your name when the food is ready. I went with the kid and she got the kid's quesadilla. She did not eat much of it but I noticed they use real Mexican cheese and not American cheddar. She loved the rice and ate all of mine. She had a Mexican coke and really liked that. I ordered the 3 taco plate with flour tortillas ($14.49). I had the chicken, pastor, and beef. Each was outstanding. You get a very generous portion of protein. The beef was extremely tender and good quality. I liked the pineapple in the pastor. I am a big chicken lover so I really liked that taco. The tortillas were delicious too. I loved the charro beans which were incredible. It was like a spicy soup and I saw pieces of jalapeno. Wow, it was good. I just had a bite of rice before the kid gobbled mine up, but it was tender and moist. Service was fast and professional. The cashier smiled when I told her that the tacos were delicious as we were leaving. I can't believe that it took me so long to get here but it won't be that long before I return.

I ordered the following #5 Special with bacon #1 The best burger and then the cheese fries I got the order within 10 minutes and did not take too long. Once they deliver the food to you, I paid through credit card and then you can tip them so I gave them an 18% tip as they were nice and serve the food to me. The food is very messy and oily so make sure you bring some hand sanitizer. They packed in a lot of napkins as well. The burger itself was just alright, was a little cold for me though so not so sure how long it was waiting. The lettuce and tomato was a little on the soggy side. The meat itself was just alright. When I ate it, I did not experience the wow factor. I can not complain about the price however. However, the food really lacked. The fries were way too salty for my friend and I. They also tasted overcooked. Almost hard. Then the burger lacked flavor and had no crispy edges. Just ok. My youngest son has Gluten and and Egg allergies and we let the cashier know and he stepped back and shouted to the crew, "Gluten and Egg" allergy order. Which is awesome! My son with the allergies ordered the Protein Style Doube-Double with fries and and no sauce. The protein style is a lettuce wrap. My other son ordered a normal double-double meal. My wife and I both ordered the same - pretty much a burger with no meat but I got cheese fries and she got normal. The staff builds gluten free orders in a separate station to prevent cross-contamination and the workers change their gloves. When bagging the order, they placed his order in its own bag. Which is great! My son could have had two of the double-double since it is lettuce vs a bun. He loved it and he mentioned the fries were good. As far as my grilled cheese with all the veggies, it was good and filling. The sauce is tasty. My cheese fries were good (it is American cheese slices on top and they melt it is an oven). It would be better to eat at the restaurant as it hardened by the time we got to my son's apartment. I like the fries overall but I don't love them, I thought maybe adding the cheese would be better. All in all - love the service. The food was good and my family was happy.

Here it is 13 years later then it is still going strong. I went for lunch with the family on a snow day. You order at the counter and they bring it to your table. No numbers, they just remember who you are. I always get combo number 1 and add sweet potato fries. The prices are great and not much more than McDonalds but the difference in value is significant. The burgers are not thick but this time I noticed the double burger (#2) is just a couple of bucks more than the the single patty in #1. Note to self for next time. Although the patty is thin, the flavors work. The burger comes with lettuce, tomato, onion, and mustard. No ketchup, you add that yourself. The bun with sesame seeds always comes out piping hot. Sweet potato fries are crispy and not greasy. The combo comes with a drink for $10.99. That's a deal. I hope they stay in business another 13 years!

Mixed Plate Classic ($12.99) + Seasoned Vegetables ($1.00): We chose the Honolulu Chicken, Kilauea Chicken, white rice, and seasoned vegetables. The veggies tasted like frozen veggies and the white rice came underneath the chicken, which we didn't realize until after. Had we known, we would have chosen the macaroni salad as our second side instead. The Honolulu Chicken is supposed to be garlicky but the flavors were just alright. The Kilauea Chicken was way better and had a nice little spicy kick. The white rice was also okay but a bit on the harder side. Additional Teriyaki Sauce Cup ($0.25): We ended up pouring this over the vegetables to give them some flavor. SPAM Musubi Single ($3.79): Not good. The rice was hard and they just poured teriyaki sauce on top of the spam. Skip this one. Pineapple Luau Slider Single ($3.99): It was okay but I wished it was made with Hawaiian rolls. Scoop Macaroni Salad ($0.99): Also just okay. It tastes like a black pepper macaroni salad. You can skip this one too. Mini Twist Soft Serve ($1.99): A mix of blue island wave and pineapple Dole soft serve that is fat free, dairy free, gluten free, and low calorie. Sandwich was tasty but I didn't taste/see much cheese, supposedly Swiss? O rings were good and crispy, fair portion. Side of cheese sauce was TINY, fyi. Service at the counter was friendly other than the refusing a cup for water. Manager/owner came thru dining room to check on customers, good move. I didn't like the credit card surcharge (without being told or signage advising) as I had cash. 15% tip for counter service with the CC surcharge made my sandwich and o rings $18 and I had to provide my own water.
