Pepperoni meat ball sub
Rodger D.

Good food, great staff.....working hard today...when the rest of us are off for the holiday. Been here several times...always good...never disappointed. Clean and comfortable...on a busy lunch break or just relaxing on a day off. Come on in and enjoy when you can or make an excuse to get here today.

Every time I call in an order I'm on my way to work. The Firehouse staff seems aloof and solemn. But my hot sandwich's are always ready when I get there. Well prepared.I love they're selection of hot sauces The shop is next to a boba tea place. Every time I go for a sandwich it's gets better in the shop. What I really like is the great selection of hot sauce.

Large Turkey Bacon Ranch Sub

Always my favorite go to place for the best hot subs around. You can't go wrong with any of the subs, but my personal favorite is the turkey bacon ranch. When choosing from the slew of hot sauce options to slather on your sub, go ahead and aim for the semester mango and honey based sauces as the compliment the rich flavor of the turkey bacon ranch exquisitely well.

No table menus best I could do. Was slow today in there.

I've only been to the Irving location on Beltline so I can't speak for all Firehouse sub locations, but the staff here are really nice!

Well, talk about a hidden gem. I had this place bookmarked but could not tell you where I heard…read moreabout it. It is basically a little luncheon oasis dropped right in the middle of a gigantic industrial park. On the drive over I was seriously questioning my Yelp choices. It is that kind of location. But trust Yelp and sometimes you are handily rewarded, which we absolutely were. We came after a few hours strolling around at the Botanical Gardens, so we rolled in around 1:30 and there were still plenty of people there. I can only imagine at noon this place is packed, and honestly it should be. My biggest complaint is the menus. There is one above the counter that does not include everything, and then a different, more complete version if you scan the QR code at the table (But 2 different navigations even on the website with slightly different menus). Do yourself a favor and look it up ahead of time so you are not standing there making panic decisions. There is a half sandwich and half soup combo (Not on the board but online menu), which is definitely the move. I got the pozole, which you should absolutely order, and a half grilled cheese on their housemate sourdough. Normally not my go to, but I was trying not to be completely stuffed since we had dinner plans. And they bake their own sourdough, so I had a strong feeling it would be great, and it delivered. Toasty and melty, American and cheddar. My husband got the southwestern wrap, and my friend went with the half club and half tomato soup. She immediately regretted not getting the pozole and the half birria sandwich, which tells you everything you need to know. Also need to mention the snickerdoodle. Not much to look at, kind of humble, but it completely makes up for it with flavor and that perfect soft texture. Go ahead and get the cookie. You are not here to make responsible decisions. Bottom line, it may feel like you are driving into the middle of nowhere, but keep going. This place is worth it.

This is exactly the kind of hole in the wall lunch spot you'll miss if you're not paying attention…read more I literally drove past it twice before realizing it was right there. It's also one of those "if you know, you know" places, and clearly people know, because the to-go orders were nonstop. The second you walk in, you're hit with cases of fresh baked bread, and pastries. The almond pistachio croissant was the biggest one I've ever seen and had me drooling before I even placed my order. It is counter service, and I went with a Mediterranean sandwich with chicken while my lunch date got a classic BLT. Both were incredible, super fresh ingredients, excellent flavor, and next level fresh bread/ flatbread. Try the sourdough ! You can tell this place is legit because you see everyone in there from construction workers, people, in scrubs, law-enforcement, executives, all grabbing lunch. When that many hard-working people trust a spot, you know it's got to be good. If you're in Garland, add this place to your must try list. It is an excellent lunch spot.

Lee's Sandwiches - #1 combination, Vietnamese ice coffee

Lee's Sandwiches

Lee's Sandwiches is a popular Vietnamese Banh Mi Sandwich chain located in Garland. While you can…read morefind Lee's all over SoCal, you'll have to plan your visit to check out this convenience & grocery store/sandwich & coffee shop. This review is going to focus on Lee's amazing Vietnamese Iced Coffee and Deli Manjoo freshly baked cream cakes. My Overall Rating - 4 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - Located in the Saigon Cali Mall, Lee's Sandwiches is a convenience store and sandwich shop rolled into one place. Heads up, very little English is spoken here, but if you can point to what you want, you'll be ok. There are plenty of tables and chairs for seating, and you'll line up and snake through shelves of snacks and goodies to entice you as you. There are also drink fridges that contain Vietnamese desserts and Iced Coffee (details below), and a huge room where you can see how the bread is baked. 1 Star. Service - Service is fast and efficient but check out is awkward. If you are buying items from the store, you bring them to the checkout counter which has a chest-high windowpane that separates you from the staff. Now, if all you're doing is placing a sandwich or drink order, this is no problem. But if you've been shopping for items you're holding, you must pass them over to the staff to check out. Like I said, it's awkward. 1/2 Star. Food - I know "Sandwiches" is in the name, but I don't get my Vietnamese Banh Mi here. But Lee's is my GO-TO place for Vietnamese Iced Coffee. You can order from the staff, but I also like to grab a bottle from the drink fridge to take home. Lee's Vietnamese Iced Coffee has the perfect amount of creamy condensed milk that makes the coffee go down so smooth. It may be on the sweet side, but if you buy a bottle to take home you can control the sweetness by adding more ice. I also always take home a box of Deli Manjoo. Occasionally, a staff member will make these soft, vanilla crèmes filled cakes fresh - which is the best time to buy. But if you can't buy them fresh, you can buy a box to take home. Just pop in your microwave, cover with a damp paper tolel, and after 30 seconds you'd think it was fresh out of the oven. 1 1/2 Stars. Will I Return? - Yes. Full Transparency - I'm not a fan of Lee's Vietnamese Banh Mi. But I absolutely will come back for their Vietnamese Iced Coffee. I'll even take some home since I live far away. See you next time, Lee's. 1 Star.

Y'all, as a self-proclained Sandwich Connoisseur, please know this sandwich owed me NOTHING!…read moreSimple, but on point. With the first bite, I knew I was going to have to try other sandwiches and add Lee's Sandwiches to my regular rotation.
