He locked the doors to the business at 9 PM even though they close at 10 PM, and he refused to let customers use the bathroom because he had already cleaned it. Every time I go to Stonebriar mall I stop by Charley's so when I learned that I didn't have to go to the mall to get Charley's I was ecstatic!!! Told them my situation, that I had ordered two cheesesteaks, about 30 minutes earlier, plus cheese fries. Would they please give me a "fresh" order of cheesec friews, since it was about 30 minutes later. They said (the counter guy) no problem... Derive and atmosphere were fine, but these are nothing like Philly Cheesesteaks! 1. The cheese isn't cooked in with the meat; it's melted on top. 2. There's lettuce, pickle, and tomato on top. 3. There's no cheesesteak hot sauce like every other cheesesteak place. They just have grocery store fare like A-1, siracha, etc. When I go to a Philly cheesesteak, I expect to get one. This isn't it. I love a good cheesesteak. This place can make a good one, but I just put the one I ordered this evening in the trash. There was so much salt on it, I couldn't eat it. In fact, there was so much that I didn't even dare to feed it to the dogs. Don't get me wrong, I am okay with a NORMAL amount of salt, but when you can't taste the meal and only taste the salt, it's way too much. I have a hard time believing that the amount on that sub was an accident, but maybe, it could have been. One thing you have to know about me is that I LOVE cheese fries and order them often from different venues. These were titled "ultimate" but fell short of that. Regular fries with nacho cheese and bacon pieces slopped on top. I could've did that at home. The old school Philly I tried: I took only 1 bite and it was salty as hell. Went in to order my food everything was great until I opened the box and there was tomato and lettuce and Mayo on it. I was unaware of these things coming on it. Because on the menu it doesn't state that, it says "onions,bell peppers, mushrooms, and provolone cheese". I tried to informed the manager that I am in fact allergic to Mayo and asked if he could make it again. He ignored me went to a new custom and told the worker to just put it on new bread. I tried to tell him that won't work and he ignored me again. So I started talking to the kitchen to inform them that, that will not work for me. When I went to sit down I heard him tell the employee "she better get some penicillin". I am writing this from my car I opened my box to see that the sandwich wasn't made right AGAIN and they did in fact just put it on new bread. The food is great but when I went there the person at the counter asked if I am paying with cash or a card? I felt like saying what does that matter if I haven't ordered yet? I said card. I was the only customer in the place and she told me to use the self order terminal thing. I order a lot on line for pick up or delivery but this is like going to a restaurant sitting down and ordering from your phone which is ridiculous then it ask for a tip! I know some people like that but that should just be a option like self check outs at stores. I stopped going to CVS and other stores for that. I will not be going back to Charley's. Wow, such a good Philly sandwich! I've never been to a Charleys before but I was shopping next door at Tom Thumb and decided to order a sandwich for lunch on my way home. It was ready in less than 5 minutes and the cashier/server was so nice. They put extra onions and mushrooms on it at no extra charge. I have eaten at several of the stores in the DFW area. This one is my favorite. It is extremely clean, staff is attentive and very friendly, the food is fresh and hot. You don't have to beg for condiments like ketchup. Drink selection is great. Highly recommend the lemonades. The cheesesteaks and chicken Phillys are both really good. Parking is plentiful. It is light and very open. Restrooms are very clean and well kept. Prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend this location. We went to pick it up they only gave us part of the order so we had to go back and pick up the rest of the order and after having to call about the missing items - I still had to ask for a left off drink. Food was okay in flavor - but it was at this point freezing cold - may have tasted better if it was hot....
