Love this place! Came in the day before Christmas and was immediately greeted with the best holiday spirit. The staff were incredibly pleasant, upbeat, and genuinely happy. You could really feel the positive energy throughout the place. Service was top-notch and honestly very impressive, especially considering how busy that time of year can be. The food was great. I had the mango habanero wings and they instantly became one of my favorites...perfect balance of sweet heat. I've been to Pluckers many times and it's always a solid spot if you're craving wings. The wings come out hot and crispy, and there are a ton of sauces to choose from. My personal favorite is the maple chipotle sauce. It has the perfect balance of sweet and smoky with just a little kick, and it's easily the best sauce on the menu in my opinion. We haven't had Pluckers in so many years and sadly were a bit disappointed. We did pickup and only live 8 mins away, so I'm sure the food is better in person, but takeout should still be great. I got the jumbo boneless basket and my husband did the 5 wing bone-in basket and we split the fried cheese. The fried cheese was by far the best part of the meal! Four giant pieces of mozzarella cheese with a thin but salty, crispy batter was definitely worth it. I was almost full after just a piece and a half! Tator tots were soft and had zero crunch and although they look brown the photo, they were quite pale in person. Definitely not sonic tots! Husband got the spicy garlic Parmesan sauce and although not spicy, it was thick and salty and I wish this was on all my shrimp boils. My tender flavors were spicy ranch (just tasted salty and not of ranch) and mango habanero (spicy and sweet and yummy). Order was missing a ranch and a Pluckers sauce. I was excited for the pluckers sauce so this was disappointing. Overall, based on this to go order, I will not go in person to Pluckers. Not worth the price even if the quality is slightly better in person. Only reason I would go to Pluckers is for the sheer size of the tenders, but the price makes it not even worth it. read more

Pluckers Wing Bar in Plano managed to turn a simple pickup order into a complete disaster. I placed my online order at 3:48 PM with a promised pickup time of 4:06 PM. I arrived at 4:00 and was told it was "being bagged up." Apparently, that phrase means "another 20+ minutes." I didn't walk out until 4:25. The best part? The restaurant wasn't even busy. Maybe five tables were occupied. The host disappeared. Servers repeatedly walked past me and several other people clearly waiting for to-go orders without so much as eye contact. Not one person offered an update or apology. Meanwhile, multiple managers were sitting at a table in the back, casually glancing over at the growing group of waiting customers. Not one of them got up. Not one checked on the delay. Not one acted like they cared. And then -- after all that -- they got my order wrong. I have a gluten allergy. I specifically ordered a burger with no bun and no sauce. When I got home, it had both. That's not a small mistake. That's a health issue. Because of cross-contamination, I couldn't even salvage it. I had to throw it away. Almost $70 spent for late food, zero communication, zero accountability, and a meal I couldn't even eat. If you're going to promise pickup times, meet them. If there's a delay, communicate. And if someone marks an allergy modification, maybe treat it like it matters. Completely unacceptable. read more

My family raves about Pluckers and I finally got the chance to try it when visiting Plano recently. I admit I'm not the biggest fan of wings, so opted for the boneless option. Love the amount of flavors to choose from. They definitely have some sauces that are packed with spice, which I love! It's A LOT of food. I had some of my boneless wings leftover and took them to go. I love tater tots and was very excited to see this on the menu. The restaurant is very specious inside. They have outdoor seating but it was a bit warm the evening we were there, so opted to sit inside. The service was great. My nieces love their wings. We had a great time! They would then disappear into the back for extended periods and then reappear without my food 3 times before finally arriving with my soggy, lukewarm food, without even apologizing. I really enjoyed coming here to Pluckers. The evenings here are especially packed so be aware you may end up with LONG wait times. Luckily for me, it was only mildly busy on weekend lunchtime. There were plenty of open seats and several people were already eating, so it should've been obvious I hadn't been helped yet. Still, I sat there for about five minutes without anyone greeting me or offering a menu or drink. It didn't seem like the bar was understaffed; just unorganized and inattentive. After waiting with no acknowledgment, I eventually just got up and left. A simple greeting or quick check-in would've made all the difference. On the food side, the spicy ranch wings were a little too salty for my taste, and the lemon pepper was extremely tart. The fried pickles is an always for us. Our favorite wing flavors were the gold rush and spicy garlic parm. The atmosphere has great sports bar vibes! I wanted to love this place so much :( Unfortantely, I recieved pretty bad service and the food was bad. I get there and host tells me I could seat myself at the bar or be seated. I try finding a seat at the bar since it was really packed in the restaurant but there were not bar seats so I come back and tell the host and she seems so bothered by that. Im sat down and I probably waited about 10 minutes before my waiter came to the table. He starts by complaining about the day he's having which I try to sympathize to but he just keeps going. He finally takes my order and the apps come out probably 10 minutes later which is pretty good time. The I got he sampler which was huge and came out piping hot and fresh. I was very optimistic about the experience but then time tiks on. My waiter finally doubles back after about another 10 minutes and tells me there was a kitchen error and that he barely inputted my order. So I wait and wait and wait. Probably about another 15-20 minutes later he comes by and asks "you still haven't gotten your wings?" and goes into the kitchen and brings out my wings....... in that 15-20 minute gap that he hadn't come to my table, my wings were dying in the window. I get my wings, and their less than warm. I ask for more ranch and he says "they already put away the ranch but I can try." Doesn't bring me the ranch....Chairs are being put up all around me, lights come on, and I feel super duper rushed to eat my food. So I take a couple of bites and wait another 5 minutes to checkout and leave. As I'm paying he's venting about a bad night, a table that walked out, and even says "you don't have to tip. Its been a s**t night anyways." like bro..... lol C'mon, man. I give it a one star for the Hot apps otherwise this would be a zero star if I could. I spent an hour and half here. Terrible service - bartender was always in the back - no sense of urgency with serving his customers. Manager was too busy with eating his lunch and getting free beer from a supplier. We ordered salads - never got them. Bartender said they "didn't have any salads made" but didn't tell us until we told him to take them off our tab. Wings were good, but our waffle fries were cold-we sent them back twice - and they finally served us hot ones. This location had gone way down hill the past several months.
