Great chicken and good flavor! Also got the Mac and cheese and it's so good! The wings are so huge!!

The hot chicken here is great and the heat levels are real. Xtra hot is really hot and I won't try what's hotter. They have seasoned fries or cheese curds, curds can be any level of heat. Only thing they should work on. Keeping the place clean and might want to get a milkshake machine.

The sandwich was great. Super tender and packed with flavor. Easily a top three chicken sandwich I have had and I have tried many. Friendly staff and fast service. Great prices too. Keep it up guys.

I really liked the food here. I was worried when I first ordered because they had a lot of chicken sitting under a warming light so I figured it would be old. It wasn't. The nuggets were well seasoned, juicy and fresh. The vinegar slaw was nothing special, but it did offset the spice from the chicken. My husband had the Mac and cheese and said it was good, not soggy and overcooked like most restaurants Mac and cheese. Prices were great. The spice level seemed to be a bit higher than when I order at Dave's or other similar places. This was medium and I probably should have tried mild. I deducted one star because meals don't come with a sauce, they are .50 each and the floor was sticky. Service was average. We would definitely eat there again.

Great chicken at a fair price. I tried 3 strips at one level below the hotest level. These were hot and i was warned when i purchased them. I ate them all, but it took a little time :) The staff was friendly and the restaurant was large and clean. I'd definitely go back the next time I'm in Plano.

I have heard so many things about Rickys fried chicken but unfortunately that wsnt the same for me. Service was great, I loved the ambiance and seating inside. But the oil they used that day was not fresh, the chicken tasted old and not fresh, my fries were so greasy from that nasty tasting oil. For some reason my wings tasted sweet, I hate sweet chicken if it isnt barbecue. I don't know what happened but after eating some of the chicken and fries I became so ill.... oh em gee! TMI: My stomach was so upset from the oil it was like I had a case of food poisoning. so I will not be back

The service was friendly and fast. However, I think the speed is what led to the other issues. The chicken didn't have much flavor besides the spice on the outside. And it was chewy, tough, and rubbery. The comeback sauce was ok. There was a lot of food though. I only ate half but not sure if that was because of the quality or how much food it was. The Mac and cheese had good flavor and was cheesy. The disappointment here was that is was basically room temperature.

Probably the best hot chicken in Dallas. I really liked the spice blend and food came out fresh and fast!

Decent chicken, pretty good prices, fast service. I was told that this particular location was not as good as others, but from what I had, the chicken was somewhat dry and a medium level was just chicken coated with raw spices. The waffles were also average... but I like the coated fries, the combo deals, and takeout service can be ordered online and collected pretty quick. Good place to grab some cheap and fast hot chicken, but definitely not one of the best.

This place is on point every visit. The food is fresh, it never smells like old oil or stinky even with all the fried food selections. The open air kitchen is always organized and clean. Staff has a smile and willing to make your experience better. The only challenge we've had here is trying to put out the heat on some of our mouths and the slip and slide that is the bathroom! Mind your step.... Check out either Ricky's location, but this one has better seating options and closer to home for us to make the trek more often.... Also, don't sleep on those fireballs, they are amazing.

Food was really good! I'd been to the Richardson location before, and happy this location is closer to home. We went one evening for dinner. When we arrived, there were a few people there but not too busy. By the time we finished, more people were flowing in. We ordered at the counter with the help of the worker some the rest of my family hadn't been there before. After ordering, we got our drinks and found a table. Food arrived shortly afterwards. Everyone enjoyed their food. I had the birds nest and it was tasty. My hubby loved that there we tv's inside and he could watch some football games. He'd definitely go back to watch games. Overall, good visit.

Oh my lord, I'm so happy this location opened up. The Richardson one is always so packed and this place has ample space to eat. The portions are slightly smaller here than Richardson but the taste is still on par. This is hands down the best place to eat for Tennessee Hot Chicken. The chicken is wonderfully tender and has a delightful crispy exterior. Always always get the Bird's Nest here. It's a magical bed of hot chicken topped with a generous portion of fries, and coleslaw. The comeback sauce drizzled on top of it just makes a wonderful blend of savory flavors packed with heat. They have a self serve station too. In the unlikely event you have leftovers, you can hop over and pack up your food to go.

Been awhile since I've been here. How is it still 10 bucks for a sando with fires and soda? That said i spent waaaymore because i got the chicken and waffles and have to, have to, have to get fireballs! As good as always. No complaints. Great staff, lots of seating and awesome food. You can't go worng here if you're in the market for hot chicken!

We had an amazing first experience at Dirty Birds and will absolutely be back!…read more My husband ordered the 20-piece wings and got four different flavors--mango habanero, dirty jerk, dry rub, Bruce Lee, Wang, and Dr Pepper BBQ (we had to try as many as possible ). Every single one was flavorful and cooked perfectly. I had the chicken sandwich with mango habanero, pickles, and coleslaw (can't remember the name, but WOW--it was incredible). The balance of sweet, heat, and crunch was perfect. I ordered the mango habanero mixed sauces in the side and used them as a dipper just to control the heat just in case since it was my first time trying it. For drinks, I had the Crackberry cider and my husband had the Mango Cart--both were great choices. Our waitress, Aureli, was so sweet and attentive. And when her shift ended, Oryn (the bartender) took over seamlessly and made sure we were still taken care of--top-tier service all around. Oryn was the highlight of our visit. Just a solid, friendly and respectful dude with a great personality. The vibe is everything--90s R&B, chill atmosphere, sports on all the TVs. It's the perfect mix of sports bar energy with a laid-back, welcoming feel. We even met the owner, Chris, which made the experience feel even more personal. We also found out they do music bingo on Tuesdays from 7-9 PM, which we're definitely coming back for. Great food, great drinks, amazing service, and an all-around awesome vibe. 5 stars all the way!

We decided on a high-top towards the end of the bar since the Colts were being shown there. As for the interior, it's a typical sports bar setting with copious amounts of seating and tvs with your standard bar foods menu and plenty of beers and branded spirits available for order. We stuck with the miller lite which was pretty cheap and they always made sure it was full when we finished the previous one. As for food, I decided on wings with a jalapeno peach and the dirty jerk dry flavors. No issues with taste; the jalapeno peach is a solid one with a good blend of spice and sweetness. I'm a bit disappointed that for 10 wings, only 9 came with my order and when I mentioned it to our server/bartender, it went ignored. He probably didn't hear me bring it up since more people started coming in and the place was getting full. I should've brought it up again but likely got distracted by my team's lousy performance. I'm open to coming back here again. While this place is like any other sports bar, the affordable beers and that jalapeno peach flavors shouldn't be ignored.

2 Stars....and here's why…read more The stars are given purely based on food taste. The crispy, naked wings were great and the sauce was perfect. That's where the good ends. The wife's buffalo chicken sandwich was covered in sauce--not just the chicken, but the whole thing. Outside, inside, everywhere. It was so slippery she couldn't hold onto it. The onion rings were...just blah. Fries were typical (definitely not snob-worthy) My wings weren't hot, warm maybe, but could tell that they were plated for 15 of the 20 minutes we waited for the order (we were the only guests there). It was super dark in the restaurant, so much so that we had to make sure they were actually open. There was no one else in the business other than the employees. I'm assuming that the dark light situation was to cover what we eventually found to be total filth. When we ordered, paid, and sat down, the staff turned on the music so loud that the three in our party couldn't even talk to one another. The tables were dirty. The fountain drink machine was in disarray, as was the self-serve station. No napkins, plastic ware, or typical accoutrements. The hallway to the restrooms looks like it needed a deep cleaning, and the single potty room looked and smelled like a daycare. The paper towel dispenser was problematic. When we left, the staff demanded that we clean the table off--as the cook sat on the floor behind the counter charging his phone. I thought it was ironic considering how the entire place felt disgustingly dirty. We're a wing-loving family. We wanted to try this as a new place for one of our favorite treats. Based on the experience, we won't be back. Instead, we'll be trying Wing Daddy's up the road next time. I like how the ownership appears to take to heart the negative reviews. But this one is a sincere plea for real change before this business falters and shuts their doors as another bygone attempt at food service.

With this new Plano location, I finally got to try it. The location is unassuming and the inside is just as much so. This is definitely a mom and pop place so don't expect a lot of fancy stuff but everything was clean. The host was quick to recognize us from the kitchen and since we were eating in, told us to get a sit wherever and they will bring a menu. Overall, they have many of the same offerings as the Dallas location but with it just opening they were out of some things and the soda machine was down. For food we ordered the cat fish, Mac n cheese, gumbo, and chicken fingers. Also got a cup of their kool-aid. The cat fish was the star. It was fresh and flaky, seasoned to perfection, and paired with their tartar sauce, was delicious. Highly recommend. The chicken fingers were good and not any major complaints just standard. Seasoned well and easily enjoyable. The Mac n Cheese was highly disappointing and can't recommend it. Might have been an off day but wasn't my style. The gumbo was good. Just your basic gumbo but you definitely need the hot sauce because it had no heat to it and I like mine a little more on the spicy side. Overall, I definitely recommend checking them out. They have some good offerings and glad to see a soul food style place in Plano.
