    Taro and mango

The two drinks we got were DELICIOUS! No artificial taste as they use fresh ingredients. We tried the taro and mango, not overly sweet it was just right.

Probably the worst Thai tea I've ever had; it was sickeningly sweet and didn't even taste like Thai tea. It made me nauseous to the point where I had to throw my drink away. To make matters worse, the boba pearls in the drink were watery instead of plump and chewy the way boba is normally supposed to be. Cute aesthetic inside, but the drinks were an absolute miss.

Really amazing chicken sandwiches, good drinks, but wouldn't recommend the Mac and cheese. The service was fast and inside was pretty clean.

This unassuming spot was a tasty surprise! Chi Tea Hot Chicken & Burgers is a breath of fresh air, tucked away in a Frisco shopping off Preston and Lebanon Rd. As you step into the door, you are hit with a tranquil vibe and warm hello! Chi Tea is exactly what it says it is chicken sandwiches, burgers(Halal I might add)and a unique twist on boba! What's the twist you might ask? B.Y.O.B., B.Y.O.M., B.Y.O.S.(build your own beverage, meal, and spice)! Let me take you trough the process. Step up to the counter and pick your size and whether you want your beverage blended or over ice. Next, choose your flavor. With over 20 options of tea, soda, lemonade and flavors, the possibilities are endless! Then, optional toppings like pearls or jelly, and if you want your beverage sweet, half sweet. or no sugar added. Make a meal out of a side by adding beef, chicken, sauces, or bacon! Order a chicken sandwich? Pick your spice level. It's truly have it your way! Chef went with the Chi Tea Classic burger. A smash type burger that was juicy and loaded with those little crispy edges(you know what I'm talkin bout). Well seasoned, fresh and just the right portion size!(Some may feel like the burger was small for the price? But let's be honest, we have been tricked into thinking that we need an OBSEEN amount of food. Plus, he's trying to unbig his back! So, there you go). He also ordered a regular, Tiger sugar, Thai tea, over ice, sweet(see how that worked)! It was a dessert beverage that was both refreshing and satisfying. Notes of star anise, brown sugar, and black tea! I ordered the Chicken Loaded Fries. Nashville Hot Chicken bits(Nashville Hot style is their thing), Spicy(always) piled with cool, creamy coleslaw, cheese, and signature ChiSauce. It was a thing of beauty! Great combination of spice, flavors, textures, and hearty! My only drawback? The fries were cold. However, you know it had to be the BOMB if I am singing praises to cold fries! The true star of this experience was Iya. She was so kind, full of life, and attentive to answering all our questions and making our first experience a memorable one! Give this spot a go. We'll be back! Check it Out!

A Different kind of Pairing: Hot Chicken with Boba Tea! I'm going to be honest, I wasn't sure how I'd like this new combination of flavors but it works!!! Hot Juicy Chicken and Cold Iced Boba - it's the sweet mixing with the spicy! It's GREAT! Unlike like Dave's or Ricky's hot chicken, Chi Tea offers not only tolerable spice levels, but also alternative sandwiches -Smash Burgers! Loaded Fries- Fried Pickles and sooo much more. I like the menu, great for people who have different tastes- you can customize to your liking. The portions are generous, you can get their main sandwiches or go with the sliders depending on your appetite. And a whole lot of choices on sides- it was very hard to choose just one- more reason to come back! They have good selection of desserts as well (the banana pudding is a must!) And for the Boba Teas... I love how they break it down in 4 steps makes it very easy to order! They specialize in the mixed but also offer "over ice" - which is how I enjoy it! We all know there are a TON of variations /combinations when it comes to Boba- however Chi Tea has managed to make it rather easy! The value is reasonable- as the quality and size of the sandwich/ sides/ drinks/desert is, in my opinion, worth it! Service was excellent! When taking our order, the gentleman was patient, explained their menu, specialties, and made great recommendations! Even though it was packed, we got our food in a timely manner in sustainable packaging! +++ in my book! All in all- a great casual spot for quick dining! Great tasting quality food, good value, and awesome service! A solid ***** We definitely will be returning!

Cute little place. Grilled chicken sandwich was amazing. The loaded fries and the burgers are on point. The service was exceptional.

So this was a major disappointment of boba. I'm not even sure I'd call it boba ? I don't even know how this place is so highly rated. Walking in this place I got bad vibes right away. It was quiet. Wasn't greeted. Just kind of dead. I wanted to give it a shot anyway so I go up to order and weren't really asked if we've been before or how ordering works just kind of had to figure it out. My friend got a mango boba which was okay. When we wanted it over ice she recommended it be blended so we obliged. Then my other friend asked for a suggestion and she said the same thing. Blended. I ordered a Thai tea and wanted it over ice. She again said I should get it blended. I use Thai tea as a standard of measurement for new boba places I haven't tried and I've never had a blended Thai tea but whatever. It was just all around bad. It had a floral taste to it. The mango drink was fine , but then again it's hard to mess up a plain mango drink. I don't even recall what my friend ordered but we took maybe 3 sips of each drink and decided it was destined for the trash. We ended up just going to another place. The only redeeming quality of this place is that it was clean and the photo wall was nice. Unlikely to return here as it'll probably be out of business.

Came here on the weekend, and it was busy. There was a line to order, but they also have a screen for self-order. It's open seating if you can find a seat. It didn't look like they had time to clean the tables. The food took a while. We ordered the spicy big bird chicken and the chi tea classic. We both preferred the chicken, and I probably would've gone with extra spicy instead. For the price point, the portion size, and the taste of the food, I'm not sure I would come back.

Very inviting! Fam ran establishment with heart felt customer service. Simple menu with plenty of options. Their sandwiches are the stars (try the Hot Big Bird- a Nashville spicy breast. I skipped the coleslaw. I'm not a fan of mayo type sauces but they had one that perfectly complimented with a couple pickles. I added a splash of honey and it tempered the heat just right. My kid snagged the burger slider which had generous veggie toppings and was JUST the right size for him (5yr old with a grown man's tummy) All items come a-la-cart Beware the Texas size servings are great value for price so start small and add on to avoid left overs or prep to enjoy family style Only cons, - Bottle water - no ice water - Mac n cheese a lil more curdled and sour cream flavored for my preference (but I've been wonderfully soul food spoiled so prob a slighted judge...) thus keeping 5 stars cuz I think it's great for what it is and great side option for main dishes. Also tried the fries. They're slightly seasoned and my kids couldn't get enough. Officially a neighborhood staple! EVERY Friscio-ian should show some love, at least once...(they'll be back) TBC- Boba & Banana Pud

Mac n Cheese with Spicy Chicken Tenders
    Tami O.

Chi Tea has a great concept and I enjoyed the aesthetic of the restaurant. Specifically dice they have TVs with the major sports games showing. I ordered the Mac n Cheese, Fries, and Angry Birds. The Mac n Cheese was standard, no frills and a bit too liquidy to rate highly (I rate it a 3 out of 5). The Angry Birds were tasty but also standard - they did not stand out either (I rate it a 3 out of 5). The Fries were on the salty side (I rate it a 2 out of 5 because of the salt). Overall, I would eat there again if I were in the area and needed a quick meal. However, I would not recommend it to a friend. Additionally, the dine-in meal was served in boxes which resulted in a bunch of boxes on the table which took away from the dining experience. I suggest the change the way in which the serve dine-in meals.

I got their big bird sandwich spicy level which includes coleslaw, pickles, and their signature sauce on a brioche bun. I also added honey glaze for an extra add on. All of their meat here is halal. They also serve smash burgers, sliders, and boba. They told me the sandwich would take about 10 minutes to cook but they prepared my order before that. I thought that overall the sandwich tasted good, but it wasn't as spicy as I was expecting for a spicy level. I would say it is around a medium spice or even less from Ricky's spice. I couldn't really tell the difference in taste from the honey glaze, but it made my sandwich look really good though! Compared to the ads I've seen online, I think I got less coleslaw than usual as well. But from a value perspective. It is the same price as a sando combo from Ricky's, except the chicken is smaller, and you don't get fries or a drink included with the meal

Yummy chicken, but not anything insane. The service, interior, and food is overall average. I haven't tried their bubble tea drinks yet, so I'll be sure to be back soon.

The fries were perfect with the veggies and sauces -- not too thin or too thick, so they paired really well with all the toppings. I personally prefer the non-spicy chicken. It was tender, juicy, and crispy. The spicy chicken tasted more like fajita-style seasoning.

The food is, mostly, a 4-to-5. Over my two visits in a three-day period (one lunch, one dinner)…read morethere were only two quality issues. The first is an overall criticism that they are ridiculously stingy with their "Dave's sauce," both on the slider (nearly non-existent) and as a dipping sauce. For what they are charging for their food, they should be including a larger portion of sauce. I mean, they obviously know how large the tenders are, and the little cup is large enough to dip half of one tender...then you can pay for more (if you can even get to the counter - more on that in just a bit). The second quality issue was with the saucy bites. The breading on our order was borderline burned. The hot honey sauce seemed to nearly entirely poured on the bottom of the clamshell they were served in. I really like the tenders, and the bun for the slider is nicely sweet. I ordered mine without pickles or "Kale slaw," as both disgust me, but that's me. The service, however...that is why the rating is mid. The front-line staff collectively have no personality whatsoever. At lunch, our food was served in nice little baskets. At dinner, and may I say go in at dinner at your risk as the lobby and available seating is far too small for the abundance of traffic jamming up and blocking the entire order area with their heads in the clouds. It seems like the overall clientele is unaware of how standing in line and being courteous to others works. Our dinner meal, for dine-in mind you, was served in clamshell go containers. I find that insulting. It was a cold, drizzly evening, so no one was choosing to sit outside, but the seating area , again, is totally inadequate for the crowd size. Even were you to order your meal to-go through the app, you'd be forced to navigate through large groups who apparently think everyone needs to come inside to get a go-order. I honestly do not know if the hassles in the evening are worth returning for dinner, and that is our primarily time to eat out.

When I arrived, I was waiting on two family members who were about 10 minutes away, so I went ahead to put our name in. The hostess told me I could go right in, which made it seem like a table was ready, but she never took my name or wrote anything down. After I explained I was waiting for two others, she said "okay" and then started taking names and numbers from other parties, leaving me off to the side without her saying anything else. It was odd, so I sat down. After sitting for maybe 5-7 minutes, I noticed she was taking names for parties of 2 and 3, which was confusing. When I asked about it, she said she already had my party and name even though she had never taken it. At that point, it felt like the Chinese restaurant episode of Seinfeld, where somehow you're waiting but also not really on the list. She finally took my name for a party of three and quoted a 30-45 minute wait, without accounting for the time already lost. My family members arrived shortly after, and we still waited another 20 minutes or so. Once we were seated, the service didn't improve much. Our server was extremely slow, and everything came out at once. We barely had time to get drinks, salads, or biscuits before the food arrived. Refills and additional requests felt more burdensome than attentive. While the food and drinks themselves were great, the overall service felt very disorganized and subpar.
