The chicken had a yummy citrus grilled taste. The roll was soft and paired well. For my side I ordered the campero beans. The pinto beans are always so well seasoned. The beans have a delicious flavor combination from the spices. For my mom she loves fried chicken. I ordered a leg and wing for her. It was fried nicely. Her side was rice and she was happy with it. I've never been to this place but it looked crowded for late in the evening plus it looked clean, so thought I would try it. The empanada was so warm, crispy, flavorful and $3ish total. IMO, their spicy chicken sandwich is better than Popeyes and Chick fil a. The chicken isnt hard, I much prefer this over CFA's sandwiches. The spicy mayo sauce is bomb and theres enough pickles. Will not go back. Prices are outrageous. I ordered directly off the menu and the order taker couldn't understand what I was ordering. I told her I am ordering right off the menu; Six Count Meal. She didn't know what that was. Then when I drove up to the window, she finally understood. The manager came to the window and took my credit card and when he told me the amount I couldn't understand him. I had to ask for a receipt which seem to upset the manager. Normally, at other restaurants, I go for crunchy, crispy, fried, and spicy to give the food flavor; however at Pollo Campero, the grilled chicken has great seasoning. Plus, the meat is very moist. After reading the reviews I was so nervous to try them out but I had a free meal coupon so I figured what could it hurt. Upon arrival what I believe to be the manager greeted us and took our order. We dined in so we received our number filled our drinks and waited for our food. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time. Upon arrival I was very impressed by the plates. As minor as it seems the fact that they use legit plates that you would eat on at home was such a nice touch! As far as the meal goes the fries were lukewarm but the chicken was very flavorful. I normally get the grilled chicken , plantains, Yuka fries and the corn salad and it has been delicious every single time. I once tried the fried chicken and I'm not a big fan of it, maybe because the grilled chicken tastes way better. They were super light and crispy on the outside yet moist and juicy once I tore into it. I also had the campero beans for a nice little porky fix. Fries were great again crisp on the outside soft center. The empanada was interesting kinda like a handheld cheesy chicken pot pie. If you love chicken this place is a must! Had the opportunity to experience a delicious and quick meal here tonight and my experience was all positive. Since this was my first visit, I stuck to what I know and ordered the 3 piece Hand Battered Fried Chicken. The entree was accompanied with a side of chilled Cole Slaw, warm Tortillas and an ice cold Latin Mango drink (one of 3) The Chicken was juicy, savory, flavorful and the crispy fried buttery skin on it was fantastic! Any meal just isn't complete without ordering the Empanadas. Mine was filed with generous amount of Chicken, Jalapeños, Chipolté Honey Mustard and ofcourse, Cream Cheese! After the first bite, I was convinced it was made with love! The flavor was both robust and rich without being overwhelming. For the encore, the flan dessert balanced out the meal and left me satisfied. The decor was nothing extraordinary however, exceptionally clean and the menu was easy to read and food item arrangement were simplified allowing for quick and accurate decision making! Staff is courteous, friendly, quick and knowledgeable which is quite a virtue for a fast food establishment. In terms of value, this place is great for a satisfying meal with minimum spending. My entree, including a large drink was less than $10 so its definitely big on value! Overall, great concept. I recently came here and had the opportunity to sample some items from their menu. I really enjoyed their chicken. I know they're known for their fried chicken, which was good. But I really enjoyed their grilled chicken which was flavored with some tasty spices and was very juicy. This is definitely a fork and knife kind of chicken. It's probably also a lot healthier. They also had a delicious empanada which is a separate item on the menu. I also recommend their mango juice. I work close by so will bring my co-workers next time. I also love how they have health meal options and meals that are under 500 calories. The chicken is 100% hormone free and you can get it grilled or fried. I opted for the healthy grilled chicken. It had an amazing citrus and herb flavors and was very tender. The corn salad was refreshing and had fresh flavors. I would get this meal again. As for the empanada I got the dessert one and it was filled with way too much caramel and was pretty sweet. I had to squeeze out half the filling. They also messed up our order twice by giving us the wrong empanadas and they had to be replaced. I guess its hard to tell because they all look the same until you bite into it. The peruvian verde was not that great because I'm not a fan of the bell peppers and the verde sauce. It was a bit dry and had a pickled taste. The latin buffalo was much better because they used the citrus chicken in it. I love the way they marinate the chicken. I also got a small Horchata drink. It was really sweet. The only way I can drink it was to water it down. It still had good cinnamon flavors but it needed less sugar. The service was impeccable and the staff so nice and very attentive. I had the 3 piece with a side and drink. Hint: mix and match your chicken! I got the famous fried and the grilled.
