This place is legit. You know you're onto something when the chicken is still tasting good as next day leftovers. I grabbed food from here on a whim because the Mrs and I were sick of the standard rotation. I ordered ahead online (and paid) but it seemed like they didn't assembly my order till I got there so I had to wait. That was mildly annoying but I did get to spend some quality time with my phone that way. We got the full chicken along with roasted Jalapenos and charo beans. The meal comes with 10 corn tortillas and a decent helping of rice. They gave salsa verde (creamy, awesome), chile arbol (meh) and I also go habanero (not as hot as you'd think). That's a lot of food for 25 bucks. The chicken came wrapped in butcher paper kind of like Texas BBQ. First good sign. They had half a grilled onion in there tightly hugging the chicken so that was a nice treat when I unwrapped it. Smelled divine, taste did it justice. The Verde and Habanero Salsas' powers combined to form Captain Planet ... wait .. combined to form salsa yumsome. Anyway I like this place and am going back. The Pollo Regio on North Beach in Fort Worth Tx is skirts like a GT-R on full boost. The service is high speed, the food is fresh, and the taste is better than E-85 in an AMS Alpha 10. If looking for something really tasty and filling I recommend the Frijoles Churrasco, with or without rice the flavor crushes like Godzilla in Toykyo. I have been to this location and the only thing that's always consistent is the chicken. If you want to order a tostada siberia it's a hit or miss because sometimes is really good and other times is a big disappointment. The tostada I got was super stale, it was hard eating it and even made my teeth hurt. The Mexican burger was flavorful, juicy and the fries were super delicious too. Now with this Texas heat you might wanna just order to go due to their AC not working properly. It was like 90 F in there this last time I went! It has been a while since I went and unlike last time the service was terrible and the manager, instead of seeing why the orders take so long or how the customers are, all I saw her do was eat and laugh. Drive-thru very quick but also very friendly staff! My ordered was filled by Xenia and while I was waiting for my ordered she let me know churros filled with cream were no longer going to be in the menu so I quickly added 3 churros to my order! Best decision ever they are delicious, Xenia was very courteous and always with a smile on her face (even with a mask on I could tell she was a happy person), she did my day with her positive attitude. If I could give negative stars, I would. We were at at the Bridal store next door, and smelled something great,so went here afterwards to grab a bite to take home. Big, giAnt, expensive mistake. Three separate orders, nachos, flautas and chicken Monterrey. Where to start...have you ever had crunchy grilled chicken? I did! It was dry as a bone and literally crunched when I bit into it. Imagine the dry kind of beef jerky and that's what the chicken was like. Dry, hard as rock chicken jerky. The nachos were greasy and the chips dark brown (burned, bitter, and gross). The flautas were dried out, burned and when opened, had two pieces of chicken in each. So we're eating pb&j instead of the nice late lunch we planned. It's too far to go back to this location, so I guess it's just a write off of $30 and lesson learned. AVOID POLLO REGIO. At the 1514 N. Beltline Rd, Irving, TX location, I ordered a extra large bag of chips and one small green sauce and I paid $3.45 when I received my order, the lunchbag-sized bag of chips wasn't even half way full and the cup of sauce had literally only one tablespoon of sauce in it (I took a picture of the cup because I couldn't believe it!!) I actually really like this location. The people are nice, Ramon is always so pleasant and smiling and really accommodating as well. The food is great! My favorite are the flautas, half chicken, and the steak. It's so much food you can eat it for lunch and dinner. The tacos are great and so is the variety of salsa. The prices are reasonable as well. I have only had the tacos, flautas, chicken, soup (has whole chicken it, wasn't my favorite (I was expecting shredded chicken), but the flavor was good), and carne asada (very well seasoned). I cannot speak to the other items. I did not give it 5 stars because I do not give anything 5 stars unless it is absolutely mind-blowing, but this place is good. Whatever the negative reviews are/were, I cannot attest to. But also, I would not eat a burger from here, just like I would not eat a taco from In-n-Out... that's just me. read more

Went there for the first time today as I needed to pick up food for the family on the way home. So, I went through the drive-thru. It's not KFC. This is a Mexican restaurant that serves chicken with Latin seasonings and sides like beans and rice, tortillas, and medical salsa and sauces. The person running the drive-thru was friendlier and, recognizing that I was a first-timer, gave helpful advice on what how much and what to order. For the four of us, I did the whole chicken dinner that comes with sides. Not a lot of veggie options. Wish there were more. Chicken is well seasoned but could be a bit spicy for some. read more

It was just after the lunch the cashier which I found out to be Claudia was sweeping, cleaning and talking with everyone. The kids their parents everyone. I only have 9 days left in Addison so I'll definitely take advantage of their food again. The torta reminded me of my time I spent living in Guadalajara Mexico. The food here is fantastic! From the times I've come before whether it was getting the torta or the Mexican burger or the chicken, I have never been disappointed coming here. For the most part, the portions are huge for the price you pay, oftentimes enough for two people. This may be a fast food restaurant but the food is not fast food quality, it is much higher. My go-to here has to be the loaded nachos, which pack so much flavor and taste way better than any other fast food nachos you'd get anywhere else. Tons of meat and queso. Pair any of these entrees with their rice (if it doesn't already come with rice) and it's heaven. I'll have to come back soon so I can try the rest of the items on the menu. A few years back Pollo Regio was an outstanding place with some of the best chicken money could buy. You could or anything and you could bet your food was always cooked perfectly. NOT TODAY! Ordered flautas and a quesadilla. Chicken was super dry in both the flautas and the quesadilla. The flautas were over cooked with the ends burned!!. $30.00 dollars down the drain!! That should have been a $15.00 meal. Taco Bell is at least more consistent than you guys. Why would the cook approve of them and package them to give to me? No one was inside eating and I was the only car in line! No mamen. I will never go there again and will be anti Pollo Regio from now on since you had the nerve to serve me that crap.
