I have fond memories of going to Der Wienerschnitzel back when I was a child growing up in California. The Der has been dropped now justWienerschnitzel, and it was his funny A-frame building with yellow shingles, and he drove through the middle of the building when you do the drive-through. My mom and I would go there on our way to the drive-ins. She would often order a chili Chili, dog or a Polish sandwich. Me as a kid, a hotdog ketchup only. Then we would go get in line for the movie that we were going to watch your food and then go into the drive-in and pick a spot. That original there, Wienerschnitzel still there on Camden Boulevard in San Jose California right next to Highway 17. I think I go to Wienerschnitzel now because somewhere inside of me I hope it's going to be like it was. Unfortunately, like most things everything changes I will say that the chili still taste good, so what am I writing this review about sharing my memories it's the attention to detail that many businesses today lack. Not a simple order a number one combo which is two chili dogs, fries, and a drink a drink to be large iced tea and I wanted a medium fry with chili and cheese on it. I ordered a corndog and another chili dog. The total for this was $21 at that moment I thought wow that's kind of expensive. I didn't look at my receipt. I realized when I open my bag why it was so expensive because instead of making the medium fry that I wanted with my combo chili cheese add-on, he ordered a whole separate chili cheese fries, which added three dollars to the bill. I was going to ignore it and just push through it even though I was gonna lose three dollars. But here is why I went back because that young man failed to put a fork in the bag one cannot eat chili cheese fries without a fork. it's just too messy with your hands . So here's my long review of a restaurant that I keep going back to even though I know I'm going to be disappointed! So hopefully after dictating this to Siri, I will learn my lesson and not go back. Most fast food, restaurants serve, mediocre, food. Yep we keep going back the service tends to lack as well and the prices just keep going up. Maybe I should stay in and cook for myself. read more

I grew up with Wienerschnitzel in California. It's nice to have it in Texas. My go to is the chili cheese dog. It's in a class all its own. Very different than usual chili dog and other places. Took a drive from melissa to allen to eat here.because we had one back home in Midland. And to say the least it was a terrible time. Me and my girlfriend show up waiting to order. And the guy is standing their talking on the phone making eye contact took him a solid 5 minutes to even take our order. And after that we get our food and eat which tasted okay. But as we are getting ready to leave i stand up and there is a roach crawling on the table. Definitely do not recommend eating here unless you enjoy roach infested restaurants. read more
