My wife and I came here for a quick lunch. The 4 piece fried chicken tasted pretty good and the cole slaw was tasty. The lemon pepper chicken wings was good but the lemon flavor was overpowering in flavor and was as balanced as it could be. We have it 4 stars because we got a good amount for the price. This golden chick location is on top of things! I went through the drive through for a quick dinner, and the service was so friendly and helpful. I hadn't been to golden chick in a long time, but was really happy I went. Their French fries are so delicious. Almost have a savory funnel cake taste to them! I was so happy I got them as a side. The tenders were so crispy, and juicy, and they have white gravy (brown gravy is not gravy!) which went great with the chicken and the French fries. I also got Mac and cheese for a side, which was okay, I'd probably try something new besides the Mac n cheese next time. I think this is a pretty new location, cause it is very shiny and clean. I hope they keep it this way! They are a little more pricey compared to other fast good options, but I would still recommend them for an occasional fried chicken fix! read more

This is our first Golden Chick food experience at this location and pleasantly surprised that it was yummy. The roasted chicken was nicely seasoned and well cooked, not at all dry like some of the other chicken places. We also enjoyed the battered fried chicken tenders which were crispy and had a fresh-clean taste to it. The seasoned fries were good but didn't care for the green beans - it had bacon bits in it. Rolls were outstanding! We will be back when we don't feel like cooking again. read more

First time visiting a Golden Chick. Sort of expected the usual fast food experience but was pleasantly surprised from the moment we stepped out of the car. The building was neat, clean, windows clean, interior was immaculate. Didn't have to inspect tables to see which was cleanest; they all were. Friendly and charismatic order taker, even more upbeat guy handed off my order at the counter with a smile and enthusiastically thanked us for dining as we were leaving. Food was much better than I expected; roasted chicken was very tender and juicy, especially for a large breast. Roll was fresh and warm, corn nuggets great. This may seem like a minor thing to some, but the drink mix was perfect on the soda. There are a number of restaurants we don't go to anymore just because the mix is always weak or they went to that Stubborn brand, which is not exciting. A substandard soda experience is enough to spoil a meal; thanks for doing it right! All of these elements don't happen by accident. Someone is doing things right at this store. First visit here since moving to McKinney. Lunch to go was great! Fast friendly service and staff. Got the roasted chicken combo, 3 pieces side and drink. I really enjoy the food here, it's always fresh & feel like the staff is nice. The only issue I've had with them is, I never seem to get any condiments even if I ask for them. This has happened a couple of times, not too big of a deal but it is inconvenient. Besides that I've always have enjoyed the hot rolls & fresh chicken. read more

Ordered Al a Carte, 2 Chicken strips and they charged me for 2 gravies. Not having eaten here before I didn't realize how massive the gravy was. The chicken strips were hot and had a good flavor, but were small in size as compared to other comparable chicken places. One gravy would have been plenty for 4 or 5 strips. What were they thinking? Tried Golden Chick for the first time recently and liked it. Have gone a few times now and each visit the service was good and food was fresh. It's very similar to Chicken Express. I think their chicken tenders are almost identical. The only thing I didn't like was the macaroni and cheese. I strongly advise against ordering it, as it was easily the worst mac I'ver ever had. This is THE WORLD'S WORST Golden Chick. The employees stand around talking to each other vs working. Last time I went they asked us to hold on to take our order in the drive through. Theyre microphone was on while they talked for almost 10 mins. Then when we hollared hello they were startled. Forgot we were there! It took them 15 minutes to complete our food. Today at 930 they were "sold out". Couldnt make more chicken for a Nashville chicken sandwich because they close at 10. 30 minutes to close and you cant nake more food??! In today's mediocre world, first class service needs to be recognized. I stopped in at our local Golden Chick in Allen, Texas this evening. I ordered a meal and the young lady taking my order apologized and said that they were currently out of "Roasted" chicken. I ordered fried and was served immediately. While I was enjoying my dinner the manager showed up at my table with the roasted dinner that I had initially ordered, telling me to take it home and enjoy it with his compliments. I'm 72 years old and I can tell you that I cannot recall experiencing thoughtfulness like this from a manager. He did it because he's a great manager and a thoughtful person, but he created a customer for life. His whole team is composed of courteous young men and women that reflect his management skills. read more
