Slow service, intelligence level wouldn't fill up a thimble, clueless as to anything going on and there is zero customer service. The food is great most of the time if they give me the correct food. I get chicken tenders and several times they give me the spicy. I don't mind but my husband doesn't eat spicy. I think they do that on purpose if they don't want to make regular chicken tenders ready. I like to walk in because if you go through the drive thru, there are people behind you and you just don't have time to double check your food order unless you pull over to the side. First time customer here! I pull up to order just now and tell me how 6 tenders, 4 rolls, and 4 zing sauces is $19 and some change. However, the 6 piece tender meal on the menu is only 13.99? I ask the person working the window if I could switch my order to the 6 piece meal instead but in place of my drink I just wanted a roll. He rolls his eyes and starts unpacking my order at the window. He then asks me what side I want and said I just wanted the rolls so he shakes his head and says "so it ends up being the same" minus one roll. Make that make sense?? Ordinarily, I enjoy Golden Chicks food. The location on Turner Warnell in Arlington Texas is the one we use. Today, we had the most rude young man on the phone. I ask could they please, put my condiments on the side, so when the delivery came, my sandwich wouldn't be soggy. He said We can't do that. ( I've had it done before with no problem). TERRIBLE service. Me and my grandfather went through the drive through and ordered two 4 piece catfish. She put down 2 chicken. My grandfather told her again what we wanted, and she sighed and said "oh my gauhd of what!!". After she said that, we were confused because it was pretty clear what he asked for. This place has fallen off...BAD. It's close to the house, we would come here regularly. Now, we pass by it like it doesn't exist. I stopped to grab a quick bite for my son. They no longer have the $6 box deal, it's now $7. Whatever, inflation affects us all. They also didn't have the large cups that come with said $7 deal, so they were giving smaller drinks and offering an extra roll. Again, whatever. Asked for the orange Crush...no longer offered as they have switched to Pepsi...gross. The kicker was the sign saying that straws are now unwrapped. I've been to this location many times. The service is usually Excellent! Today was Excellent again. Very friendly cashier. However, we ordered the catfish and Wing Zings with no spicy seasoning. The catfish was delicious but the wings were salty. This was the 3rd time this happened. The food is very fresh and hot. But the wings were just to salty. We got chicken last week and it was Salty too. The mashed potatoes today were soupy. Which they usually are not. The green beans were delicious and well seasoned! We want to continue eating there, however it's too expensive to not be satisfied with the product. I'm not sure if they recently got a new cook or not, but my family can tell the difference. I was appalled by my visit to this location tonight. The drive thru was around the building so I went inside to order First The customer in front of me ordered and his total was $11.83. When I was at the register I was told that they didn't have any fried chicken cooked except for breast and wings, then told to hold on. Then the person taking my order went to the back to help. Then he started handing out orders to people who were inside. The person that ordered before me had 5 bags and two large drinks. I watched them put his order together. He had a large box of fried chicken, a box of tenders, fries and rolls with two large drinks for $11.83. When the person returned to the register he informed me that they only had one breast and a wing so I ordered tenders and spent $57.06. After seeing the customer in front of me get all this food for $11.83 I asked for a refund. A different person came to the register, didn't identify herself or ask what they could help me with to make this right. She just gave me my refund. I love Golden Chick and just can't understand why I was treated like this. Someone please explain this to me. I have included a copy of my refund.
