Firehouse Subs has great sandwiches. I've been a fan for a while. Use the phone app for great deals. It will save you money. The subs are good size. I get the medium but the small is a good size if you are watching your weight. Plenty of meat and vegs on the subs. The Meatball, Italian and New York Steamer are my go to subs. The subs are always hot and fresh. Good choice of chips but add Fritos back. Most places stop selling Fritos. Try the brownies I had them once and it was very good. Good service but the staff does not talk much to the customers. Need to interact more for better customer service. Clean store plenty of seating. read more

Got my go-to, the Italian, and it was really good. The flavor was on point and I like my sub warm. The only thing I'd have to point out is that I barely got a pickle, I mean, a few tiny bites and it was gone. It didn't last that I ate it all before I got to my second half. The person who took my order was polite as I emphasized 2 more times meat, bread and cheese only, and no pickle. Order looked correct on receipt when I picked up order. Went to my meeting and imagine my surprise when upon opening the sandwich to find a 4 inch long quarter of a pickle. Then look at sandwich and it had Italian Dressing on it. I called the store back and asked to speak to the manager whom refused to talk to me. The employee said that the manager wanted me to bring sandwich back and it would be fixed. No way I could leave meeting so I offered to bring a 1/2 of it back the next day and the store could give me a 6 inch sub that was correct. My offer was rejected. Ordered directly through firehousesubs.com on March 19th. What followed was the worst customer service experience I have ever had with any restaurant. The delivery driver took 45 minutes to pick up the food. After picking it up, they sat in the Firehouse parking lot for another 45 minutes. I could see them on the GPS tracker not moving. I messaged them repeatedly. No response. I called the store. The employee was dismissive and hung up on me. I called back 45 minutes later and asked for a refund. The manager refused, told me I "didn't order from Firehouse" and needed to take it up with Uber Eats. I ordered on YOUR website and paid YOU. That is either dishonest or incompetent. The driver only started moving after I messaged them that I had their GPS location and would be reporting them for theft. They showed up nearly two hours later, did not knock, did not ring the doorbell, and left an empty Firehouse Subs bag on my doorstep. Empty. The tamper seal was broken. The bag was flat. No food inside. The driver took their delivery photo from a distance so you could not tell the bag was empty. I received nothing for my money. The store refused to help, refused a refund, hung up on me, and corporate is now trying to argue the bag "appears full" in the photo. It does not. It is visibly flat, deflated, and the seal is clearly broken. This location does not care about its customers. Two phone calls, both dismissive. A manager who would rather lie about how their own ordering system works than issue a refund for stolen food. Avoid this store. If you must order Firehouse, do not use delivery from this location. read more

I think they may need more training when taking in orders on the phone. As someone who orders food a lot, not afraid to admit it, I had to help whoever took my order on what to tell me, how much my order is, when it will be ready, etc. But also hearing the F word drop when taking my order was new to me. read more

I want to thank the young man who made my order this weekend. It's a weird order and even though I always just repeat the last on line order, it's never interpreted the same - understandably. I order untoasted, uncut bread and turkey, extra turkey, separate. I just want bread and turkey, separated. I put it together myself during the week, a little at a time. This weekend I was given just a loaf of bread, uncut and untoasted. The turkey was in a separate, airtight plastic bowl. I wanted to take a picture and submit it with all future orders. We love Firehouse & get the same thing every time. We don't go as much since we moved from Mansfield but today my steak & cheese tasted 'off'. Not sure how, maybe the peppers were cooked too long. My husband and I had lunch there today. Although satisfied with the sandwiches they had two televisions on opposite sides of the room loudly blaring TWO different stations. This location in Mansfield has really gone downhill. The past couple visits it has been staffed with only teenagers and it shows in the extremely poor cleanliness, slow service, lack of employee interaction with the guests, loud and inappropriate employee conversations and poor food presentation. Recently I placed an online order and when I arrived was abruptly told that it was just received and would take another 6-7 minutes. I've been to Firehouse Subs before and genuinely have had great experiences in the past. The staff at this location did a fantastic job so this negative review is not towards them at all cause they were great. I believe however that something needs to be looked into possibly on the sanitation side of the food as today my wife, daughter and I all ate lunch at Firehouse Subs and we all became extremely ill afterwards. Now I don't know what it could be as we all ate different orders but I haven't felt stomach pain like I did today ever. My daughter was in so much pain from her stomach that she couldn't stand straight and had to be bent holding her stomach, the same type of pain was experienced by my wife and I. My pain was followed with vomiting and diarrhea, my wife had multiple trips to relieve herself and same as my daughter. My wife and I are still in pain and it's almost 11pm and we ate at 4pm and have been unable to eat or drink anything else. Like I said I don't even know what could have caused this as we all ate something different so the only thing that comes to mind is sanitation of the food in general. Please look into this as the pain I've experienced is something no one should experience. It may be a while before I give Firehouse Subs another shot. read more

I ordered an engineer sub and it was awful. There was a total of 4 tiny mushrooms, 3 slices of onion that tasted awful, and a mess of old lettuce. I could not have been happier about this place opening! The only other location in Arlington I know of is in an awkward location, and is never very busy. This one is located on the border of Mansfield/Arlington and right next to a Chase bank! My first experience there was beyond amazing, the food I ordered was quickly delivered, and tasted amazing! Not only that, but I would rate their customer service as a perfect score! On top of that, they even got my son a high chair, then brought him a firemans hat. My favorite thing about this place is the custom drink machine; but I love the staff, the food, and even the set up. My family and I will return again, and again! read more

Went to Firehouse on the recommendation of my son-in-law, very glad I did! I am not much of a sandwich person but this place was good. Husband loved the hot sauce selection and his Smokehouse beef sandwich. I had the New York Steamer, having lived on the East Coast for a few years, I was prepared to be disappointed, I am very happy to report that I was wrong, it was very good and very authentic. The pickles were good, but generic chip selection and the young and inexperienced staff that was a little to busy flirting being the only downside. I placed an Uber Eats order form this location because the other one we usually order form (off Arbrook in Arlington) was having issues with their computer. I ordered a turkey, bacon, ranch sandwich with extra cheese and added on sauteed mushrooms. I also ordered a cup of chili. I have placed this same order on Uber Eats from the Arlington location multiple times and they got it right every time. THIS location decided to not put the mushrooms on my sandwich and instead they mixed them into my chili!!! (gross!) I was so shocked i honestly thought that whoever made my order was either high on drugs or just an absolute idiot. I ate the sandwich, but could not eat the chili like that. It was almost more mushrooms than chili. I called the store and a young girl answered. I asked to speak with a manager and she said she was the manager. I told her what happened and she told me that she was actually the one who made my order and she completely blamed the mistake on Uber Eats. She told me that the receipt printed like that and she made it just how the receipt said. Keep in mind that on Uber Eats when you add extras, it's under the sandwich. They don't even have an option to add extras to the chili aside from cheese. Also, keep in mind the other location in Arlington has made this order which was placed in the exact same manner on Uber Eats. The girl I was speaking to didn't even apologize for her mistake. She said she thought it was strange but made it how the receipt said and she blamed it on Uber Eats and even told me to be more specific when I order and add special instructions about where to put the mushrooms. I wasn't even really angry until I spoke with her. She was so rude, and so unprofessional. She didn't apologize or even acknowledge her mistake, and she acted like it wasn't even a big deal and was my problem not hers.
