LOVED our experience at Gold. The menu was perfection - we literally wanted one of everything, but being only 2 people, we enlisted our server to help us make the difficult decision on what not to order. We started with mocktails - (THANK YOU for having several options!) and antipasti - perfection. We then shared the Brussels sprouts, eggplant and farfalle, and the strawberry and beet salad. The portions were larger than expected - no complaints! The Brussels and farfalle were out of this world. The salad was good - great even - but pales in comparison to the other two dishes. For dessert, we went with the zeppole and panna cotta - no notes. Would eat it all again tomorrow. And all that for $100! read more

Atmosphere is great, it's well lit inside and not too loud so you can easily hear those you're dining with. All of the food we ordered was delicious. We got the burrata salad which could've been a little bigger and had more balsamic, but overall it was fresh, well flavored, and not too heavy before getting our entrees. We got the scallops over risotto pancakes with caramelized butternut squash. The scallops were perfectly cooked, everything well flavored. Despite LOVI NY scallops, my favorite part of dish were risotto pancakes. Also got the homemade ravioli (spinach and ricotta) which were delicious. For cocktails got the aperol, bourbon, aquafaba and bitters drink (cocktails only $13!!) and it was delicious and like a not too sweet dessert in a cup. All staff were pleasant and helpful. Overall great first experience here. Will come back again and will recommend to others! PARKING Only "negative" thing I can say was that it was a little tricky to find parking because there's no reserved parking area for customers so you need to find something on the street. And the closest parking lot seems like an option but when you turn it it says tenant parking only all others towed. read more

Absolutely loved this little gem of a place. The service was excellent and each dish was bursting with flavor and well balanced not too much fat or salt just the right amount for richness. I cannot wait to go back. This place is on the smaller side. Highly recommend a reservation. The tables nearest the door have no barrier from the gusts when people open the door, so during winter these are probably pretty cold seats. I don't know if they could put up a divider to protect that a little, but truly that is only downside. I believe the bar seats 6 so it's really on the small side, but the crafted drinks coming from it looked amazing. I had a delicious pasta paired with wine for their Tuesday special. We started with a share small plate, each had a pasta, and shared dessert. Each option was wonderful. Staff was friendly and helpful. Everyone around us seemed to be enjoying as well. I have recommended this place to friends and they all have reported back really enjoying as well. They have access to a shared parking lot so off street parking is available too! Dropped in for a late dinner on a Thursday evening, visiting from NYC. Nice space, interesting wine and beer selection. I had the grilled beet salad. The beet was nicely done, and the baby rocket was super fresh. Unfortunately the dressing was under seasoned. My wife had the fried eggplant salad, the breaded eggplant was delicious, and this salad was tastefully dressed. We shared the corn ravioli large plate. We've been looking forward to trying this new spot, especially because of their daily dollar oyster special! The good news is we'll definitely return. The bad news is it won't be for oysters. The relish they were served with was completely bland. The worst of it was the oysters were full of sand. No thank you! Our dishes saved the day though. Arrived in the Burlington area to enjoy Autumn leaf changes & biking. Stumbled on to Gold Restaurant in Burlington and definitely struck pay dirt!!! Food is beyond wonderful. Great selection of options, wonderful flavors and nice presentation. The Chef really knows how to combine flavors and textures offering scrumptious appetizers and small plate choices. The portions are good size as alone or to share. We sat at the bar and enjoyed conversing with staff. Intimate small 30 seat restaurant offers relaxing ambience. Check out weekday specials. Amazing cocktails, the shared plates were soooooo good. The pork belly melted in our mouths, the burrata was fresh, the focaccia bread was delicious. For the mains we had the steak and the risotto. They were really good, the steak and potatoes were slightly over salted, and the chicken to rice ratio was more chicken than rice, it would've been a bit nicer if it was a little more balanced, but the flavors were freaking amazing. read more

From the moment we walked in it felt like going to a friend's for dinner. We were greeted and quickly seated at our table. Our waitress Frankie was great. Good cocktails were had while we viewed the menu. The menu changes to keep things fresh and exciting. Having a difficult time choosing, we agreed to share a few items. The pear salad with grapes, tasty pear slices, smooth dressing all topped with an excellent topping of chèvre had us excited for more. We then split the Hanger Steak and Risotto entrees. The Braised Hanger steak melted in your mouth topped with an excellent sauce. The accompanying roasted potatoes complemented the mouth pleasing steak. I knew I would also love the Risotto with Burrata. Perfectly cooked risotto takes skill. It's all there! Ok, we had to finish the meal with an order of Zeppole. So good!!! Literally the best meal I've had in Vermont. Everything we had was incredible. The arancini was crispy and cheesy, the duck confit with crispy polenta was everything you would want a duck dish to be. The carne with Italian salsa verde and fried gnocchi were super flavorful, and the final ricotta doughnut dessert was a perfect way to end the experience.
