Ok I'm writing a live review. 4:56 pm and I was outside 4:57 they unlocked the door let me in first come , first serve. Suzwas my server bartender. 5:03 pm I ordered my first vodka martini and they had my brand. I ordered the lobster mac & cheese with the boneless ribeye, medium rare. 5:26 pm the food arrived. The river was delicious, but I did find a little fatty. I'm not gonna lie even for a ribeye. The lobster mac & cheese was perfect. The noodles were perfect. Just the right amount of lobster not to overpower the cheese. The maple crème brûlée I ordered at 5:40 showed up at 5:45 PM and it was heated by the kitchen. It was perfect. Overall, I would give this wonderful establishment a five star for what it is. It's not a big room. It's well decorated. The food is spot on and they even had my favourite vodka, which is not regularly available even though it is. Another Great Steak House that is Spot on. I started at the bar because it's first come first serve and the place was sold out which is not unusual for this place. Truly, the food was to sell at 4.5. I'm gonna give them a five star based on the server attitude server having my Preferred vodka, which they ran out of by the way, which was too bad Overall, what a great little place definitely bring your date. For even younger than they were food is superb as well as the service. It's not inexpensive, but well worth it.

First, let's be clear. This is not Morton's of Chicago. So go in knowing that you will get a nice experience but it's not that. The bartenders are very knowledgeable and the staff is top notch friendly and the meal was paced nicely. Steak was cooked exactly to order but a tad under seasoned. The calamari app was a little wilted and I'm not sure the sauce on top did that any favors. The mashed potatoes were very nice and creamy. Mushrooms were unremarkable but good. Overall this is a nice place and so convenient to tourists and locals alike. Come in for a drink and get a feel for it. I think you will like it too. read more

This is a great place! We came here for an anniversary dinner and they did not disappoint. The cheese was good. The steak was amazing. The potatoes were creamy and flavorful. And we topped everything off with their creme brûlée and mudslide pie - both of which were very tasty. Our server made the evening special through her kindness and wonderful attention while providing service. We choose EB Strong's for a client dinner while visiting Burlington for meetings. We had a group of 13, and were seated with a reservation in the private room, and everything was perfect. We had several servers checking in on us and we didn't need a thing, ever! Across the group we tried lots of dishes including the filet, surf and turf, crab cake, calamari, shrimp cocktail, salads, and chocolate martinis for dessert. Outstanding!!! We're Out of Staters however, we come to Burlington once a year for a few weeks and we always eat at this restaurant a few times. I believe I might've been one of the first to eat there when they first opened, it's been that long, but I'll tell you, the food is fabulous the service is excellent and the restaurant is very comfortable and the new addition is gorgeous. We've gotten to know many people that work there and the owners are great people. I personally can't say enough about how great this restaurant is you have to experience it. I've never had a bad experience. I've always had great food and I've always had great service. This is definitely a restaurant I would eat at more if I lived in town. read more

The food was great. Tops, almost NYC steakhouse, yet the charm of Burlington Vermont instead. Cooked correctly, to a perfect medium rare, which is at the limits to how much a steak should be cooked. Sides are often family style, order a couple things to share with everyone. The cocktail menu was good, and the maple Old Fashioned is one of the better of the genre I've had, of the various places that do that these days. The maple crème brûlée was arguably the biggest disappointment of an otherwise solid spread, with very little maple flavor coming through. Tasted mostly like a standard vanilla custard. Maple can be tricky to cook or bake with, but it seemed absent in this case. Oh, the bread and butter served to start was amazing though. The service was good. Burlington in this newly post pandemic area is still struggling to get staff, but the wait staff were courteous and prompt. Actually, I felt like our server was the perfect amount of interested. Not overdone, but attentive as needed. The ambiance is what I'd call "modern steakhouse". Linen tablecloths, but not overdone red velour coverings like of yesteryear, where you'd expect to see business dealings. This was more clean and modern, but also not the overly loud industrial loft motif that some places have. Can't afford to eat here all the time, but based on this experience will definitely plan to return for other special occasions at least. read more

Generally come here often and was with a group of 7. One of the meals was wrong and everyone had eaten and we had to wait for the mistake. When management was confronted it was questioned whether or not the late plate was eaten. Absolutely not the point. The point was that the meal was wrong and was brought out late. Again, generally when we come it has always been good but on this occasion, we were very disappointed because of the service and management claiming that they had never had someone ask for a comp. The service was super friendly, and she completely spoiled my husband. He had ordered a Manhattan with a 'big cube' but was totally fine with the ice, but she INSISTED on swapping it out. We also appreciated how knowledgeable she was not only about the menu, but also to 'talk steak' and Kansas City with my husband. The calamari was light and not greasy at all, the tomato tapenade was the perfect dip for it, so yummy. My 'oscar filet' absolutely stole the show....not only did the chef deftly cook it to a medium without overdoing it, the MOUND of crab and lobster on top was a perfect compliment. The freshly mashed potatoes were perfectly nuanced with garlic and the hollandaise perfectly complimented the broccolini without overwhelming it. My husband ordered the creamed spinach, so good. the spinach was wilted but not slimy..it supported the perfect touch of cream sauce well. We barely had room for dessert, but that did not stop us from splitting the mud pie. the mix of caramel and fudge was a delight and the ice cream 'filled in all the cracks' nicely! This meal was not good. The escargot were rubbery and lukewarm. They were served in a bed of onions and just didn't taste great. The shrimp cocktail was fine but it would be difficult to screw up shrimp cocktail. The preparation for the rack of lamb was just weird. The lamb itself was very bland (didn't taste the mustard panko crust) and the polenta and greens were just a sour, strange combo. The chimichurri did not belong. Stopped in for dinner last night with a party of four. We made a reservation in advance and were seated immediately, even after arriving a few minutes early. We got a table in a little nook where we were the only table which was nice and private. Initially, it took the server a little while to greet us. We ordered two sodas, an amaretto sour and a beer for drinks. Our water glasses were kept full throughout the meal. Calamari was amazing. A little differently prepared than I am used to but it was excellent. I would totally get it again. I also had a wedge salad which was good but they are never extraordinary, I just really like them. There was complimentary bread which was fresh, right out of the oven. The salted butter and the oil/vinegar mixture was good. I ordered the 8 oz filet while the other three in my party got the prime rib which was on special. I ordered well done and I feel like it was cooked medium. My husband ordered medium and it appeared to be rare. Everyone still enjoyed their meals but it seemed that all of the steaks were a temperature or two off. We ordered a side of asaparagus and a side of brussel sprouts. I loveeee brussel sprouts and were looking forward to them. They were rather hard and didn't seem cooked properly. Honestly, I debated sending then back but my husband kept munching on them stating they "weren't the worst". I just couldn't eat them. As much as I wanted to order dessert, I was overly full and exhausted! If I were to go back I would overly specify the temperature I wanted my steak in hopes it would come out properly. read more

The broth for the mussels was simply fantabulous with very flavorful chorizo. For my entrée, I enjoyed the rack of lamb with spinach. The lamb was very tender and incredibly delicious. The first place we ate in Burlington - wanted to love it, but it fell flat. The food was not great (the Escargot was prepared differently... which is fine except it wasn't that warm and a bit chewy), and the shrimp cocktail was fine. The Seared Ahi Tuna Salad had huge chunks of tuna with a sort of smoky preparation I wasn't expecting, and no real flavor otherwise. Even the wantons they served it with tasted more like pita chips and lacked any salt or flavor other than oil. The best thing we had was the complimentary bread and butter, which was delicious. EB Strong's is a hidden Gem! I recently took my client out to this restaurant and couldn't be happier. The staff was very attentive to drinks and food. Ambiance was very businesslike/ casual. They had a nice selection of wine and plenty of food options of steak and fish. My favorite part was starting out with oysters and a cheese board from local vendors. Matthew our server was very knowledgeable on the menu and he pace every course just right. My clients were very impressed with EB Strong's. They live locally and never heard of it until our time last night. They plan to return in the near future. The NY Strip and Bone-In Ribeye we had were perfectly seated and seasoned on the outside and melt in your mouth tender on the inside. Our drinks were never empty and our server just perfectly timed interjecting our conversation and making sure we were taken care off. When at a steakhouse eat steak and so I did. Excellent filet and the truffle fries, so good! The squash soup which was more puréed squash was so flavorful and almost a meal by itself. My vegetarian friend really enjoyed her beet salad with chèvre. We topped off with some local cheeses and the maple crème brûlée and ate every bite. Great wine selection, alcohol selection and a vibrant bar scene as well if you prefer that over table service. Place is very clean and an enjoyable space to be in. This place was great and checked all the boxes - sat at the bar, great cocktails, bartenders could not be more friendly, NY Strip cooked perfectly, mushroom good, Brussels- best I've ever had. We visited this steak house on a stormy Saturday night. We parked in back of the building. Since the website said that our parking would be validated inside, we paid the $22 to park. We went inside the restaurant but they said they could not reimburse the parking fee because it is a private parking lot and that we should have come in and gotten a paper to put on our dash first before paying. We were seated with almost no one else in the restaurant. We waited almost 15 min. Before anyone came to give us menus. The food was delicious but expensive. We paid over $200 for our meals, including $22 for parking. Our server was outstanding, helpful and sympathetic. However the service was extremely slow, almost three hours from beginning to end. read more

What a HUGE disappointment! Overpriced, small poorly cooked portions and horribly cooked meat. What happened to this restaurant?! I've been here before and have had wonderful meals, this time I took my wife here as as she had just began eating beef, so what better place to take her for her first experience....right? EB WRONG! We ordered 2 of their 21 day aged bone-in in ribeyes And we're very excited. What came out was flavorless and somehow burned on the outside, but properly cooked on the inside, the beautiful fat was not rendered at all but instead singed leaving a bitter spongy charcoal mass along the edges and not an ounce of seasoning! How is this possible? I know aged beef has amazing flavor but you still have to salt it! And at $60 a piece I expect near perfection! We asked for salt to attempt to salvage the meal And we're then asked, by the owner, How the steaks were, we reluctantly said they were ok, but she could see the dislike In our faces and persisted asking, "really, how are they?" So we told her our issues...instead of being sympathetic she simply expressed that they are cooked over a 1500 degree fire and that was normal for their steaks. Maybe she is a new owner or not a steak eater? Maybe during the quarantine they forgot how to cook steaks? Maybe the dishwasher had to step in and cook that night? When the $200+ bill came we saw no attempt to redeem this bad meal, it was clear that both of us ate maybe 1/4 of the meat, the service was great so we left a nice tip and left with our steaks ONLY because we have chickens and didn't want to waste food. After a cocktail and a latte I had an EB "STRONG" charcoal aftertaste in my mouth on the hour long ride back home. If you know and love Steak EB strongs will not be for you. Instead Save your money, go to Costco like I did the next day, get 3 prime Ribeyes for $60, Skip EB Strong and come to my house! I guarantee I cook a better steak than this so-called institution. read more
