Food and drinks were delicious, a little pricey but typical from burlington. Beautifully cozy and well decorated. Peter our server was wonderful! I can't wait to go back and try more of the menu:)

Valentine's cocktail (when peary met sally)

This place was lovely! We went on valentine's day so it was quite busy and food took awhile (which is to be expected). But regardless, the food was delicious and quality even though they must have been so backed up. Service was nice and it was a lovely night!

We were called to the Daily Planet in search of some vegetarian options for a dinner. The menu did not disappoint. It has an equal blend for both meat eaters and those who abstain. I was surprised to find that there was a wait for a table of two on a Tuesday night. The atmosphere was warm, filled with plants, art, and arched glass ceilings over one of the dining rooms! I ordered the black bean burger which was delightful! I think it could have used an acidic topping to cut the patty and avocado, maybe a slaw or pickles. I would definitely return! The daily planet boats many vegetarian options, which is a great delight for us. The food satiated our appetites, I got the burger and was satisfied. The ambiance was lovely including some artwork and dim lamp lighting which cultivated the cozy space. Overall, an enjoyable experience and recommend for people with varying dietary preferences.

Time Bomb And The Spicy Tomato Dill Soup

Came to this hip bar and restaurant in Burlington for drinks and food one evening. It actually seems more like a quiet place than a place to get crazy and party. The Daily Planet also has better than typical bar stuff. Prices are high on some things, especially entrees and the bigger items. You can get a few small things for cheap though. Busy but not too loud when we got inside. It's like it has a subtle classiness it seems. There were seats at the bar so we got some there. It's about $12 for regular price for cocktails. Ordered a few with it being happy hour. Best of these was the Time Bomb. This is Earl Grey with lemon, thyme, and vodka. As for the food we kept it cheap. It's $9 for the Spicy Tomato Dill Soup. This is vegan. It was creamier than expected. This was really good stuff. Go here for drinks and some food. It's only just a small menu but there's big flavor to it though. There's a few things okay for vegans and vegetarians.

Ambiance: 5 stars because the vibes were so cozy and cute! It felt like a modern, eccentric and quirky restaurant and I'm super glad we chose to eat here. The pics we took were amazing. Food: 4 stars, I enjoyed my hoagie thoroughly but wished the peanut butter was more of a sauce and not just thrown onto the bread. My friend thought her noodles were bland, and the falafel burger was good but nothing special. The truffle fries were DELICIOUS and the sauce they gave was super yummy. We also loved all of our drinks, they were perfectly balanced and exactly what we wanted. Highly recommend the pickle drink! Service: 5 stars because our waiter was great! She was super attentive and gave us great recommendations for our stay, and we felt very welcomed. The other servers were also very on top of it, and gave us extra servings of sauce without even asking!

Good music but Small menu. For our last night in Burlington we came into The Daily Planet. We made reservations to ensure we would be able to get in within a reasonable amount of time. Like most of the Burlington restaurants it's small inside. Service was a little bit slow but it was rather crowded so that was forgivable. I had a cocktail before the meal came out. I forgot the name of it but is was essentially their take on a old fashioned but it was a little too much citrus for me. For my main course I had the steak frites. I ordered them medium well and they came With truffle fries.steak was very tender with a great flavor, not too much seasoning so you could taste the quality of the steak. The fries were just so so. Overall a slow meal and decent service. The price was 30-40 dollars per person so very affordable.

We both ordered the eggnog mudslide, a holiday special, which were served quickly and were very delicious. The night we went was their weekly karaoke night which we didn't know ahead of time, but it was fun! It seems to be a group of regulars who like to sing and the vibe was fun and laid back. The employee running karaoke was super nice and friendly and overall the whole place had really good vibes. I think we'll definitely be back next time we visit Burlington!

We visited last night and it happened to be during Karaoke time. The crowd was super chill, friendly, and very supportive of the singers. Everyone was having a great time and the vibe was pretty amazing, kind of felt like a speakeasy. There were people sitting at the bar, people clapping in the seats in front of the stage, and people knitting in the back. There were empty tables last night, but from what I read, it can get pretty crowded here. We ordered the Mudslides and they were really good, but a little too icy. Service was friendly and we felt very comfortable here. Loved the decor with the historic photos, the colored lights and the comfortable old style chairs. We'll be back on our next visit to Burlington!

I was lured here because someone said it was better than Bistro de Margo; it was not. Service was good from the server and poor from the bus boys and kitchen. The kitchen failed in many ways. Could I give it fractional scorse it would be 2.6. The server was good and had a phenomenal memory to take all our orders with no notes. Wow! The three appetizers were delivered out of order. One came. Fast forward 20 minutes; the remaining two came out. The appetizer dishes were never cleared. They hung around until we decided not to have desert! The appetizers were underwhelming; how can you screw up a Caesar salad? The main courses disappointed in many ways. The dishes were serverd luke warm. Mussels were dehydrated on top of the heap and obvioulsy sat under a heat map. The steaks were cooked well but accompaniments were cold, cool, or barely warm; take your pick none were appetizing. The plates were stone cold which didn't help. Finally after dinner was served and eaten and plates cleared for deserts we did not order the remaining plates and debis were cleared from the table. Not good. Not professional. Not worth the money. The wines were good. The beer was good. Dinner came to $275 plus another $60 tip. It wasn't worth it. There is clealry issues in the kitchen and staff. They were simply not into it. I would not come back. If you want a French dinner look elsewhere or just don't try that in Burlington.
