What a lovely diner! Unique building with a friendly waitstaff and delicious food. We stopped by for a quick breakfast. We loved the retro style and the food was fast and good! I even bought a foam dome souvenir hat

After a long travel trip (delayed flights were insane), we woke up with an appetite! This diner was a wonderful surprise - cozy and welcoming - you feel as if you walked into a family member's home. Our meals were scrumptious... included fresh brewed coffee! Shoutout to Kaitlyn, who took care of us! She is friendly, attentive, and polite!

Classic diner fare and atmosphere. Expect a long wait on the weekends (sometimes over an hour during peak times), and even a short ~5-10 min wait during weekdays. Got the 2 egg classic + bacon, and the Vermonter omelet. Kept us full during our 20 mile bike ride shortly after. Friendly service, tasty food, and great prices, especially for Burlington.

Stopped here on our drive home from Montreal and it was perfect. We immediately got seated and was warmly greeted by our waiter. I checked the Yelp reviews and my sister and I both decided to order the little Henry. Perfection. I got my eggs over medium, ham, home fries, a pancake, and an English muffin. The English muffin was one of the best I've ever had. Perfectly toasted, not too bready, and had butter melted on top. I'm still thinking about the ham too. Everything was too good!! I wish I lived closer.

I got the mini Henry breakfast with two eggs, sausage, biscuit, home fries and with Vermont maple syrup.

The waitress we had was not nice at all and had a nasty attitude. We would ask her a question and she would give us a dirty look as to why we are asking her the questions we did. Inside is very cute looking, they have nice booths and it's very yellow looking. The food could have been a little bit better. The home fires barley had any flavor to it , the sausage patties were okay I wished I would had received the links but I think they only came as pork. The French toast and the biscuit was on point. It was very delicious other then that. The prices were more on the pricey side other then that it was overall a good breakfast spot and no long wait.

YES. AMAZING STOP! Really cool 100 yr old diner and the food was fantastic! It's a tiny space so we sat at the barstools and watched them cook our breakfast. We both ordered the Little Henry breakfast. The 2 customers seated next to us ordered the BLT & fries and the fried clams with Cole slaw. They both LOVED their food too. It's a very clean restaurant and the owner is running the front and hustling around as well. What a unique experience. So glad we stopped in!

Really cute interior and the food was delicious. The skillet was a bit underwhelming for the price but the service was good!

What a great diner. Potatoes and Biscuits and Gravy were very good! Staff were generous and they put up with two older guys being philosophical at the counter (they derseve a medal for that part alone). The Counter seating is located in an old railroad car from New Jersey. An unexpected happy experience!

Great diner. We've been trying to go here for awhile now but there's always a line so we just go elsewhere. But if I had known the turnaround is so quick i would've been waiting in line way prior to now. Sat down quickly and our server came right over for our drink order. My husband got the French toast and I got the Phly skillet. He said his was great. The bread was soft and buttery. Mine was perfect. Eggs over easy, the potatoes were spot on. Couldn't have asked for a better breakfast

I don't get the hype. ‍ Coffee The menu notes it was Vermont coffee, being a coffee connoisseur I indulged. I immediately regretted that decision. The coffee was so bitter it wasn't drinkable, clearly Vermont coffee makers pick the cherries too soon or maybe that's the standard? The coffee was also overly strong, like jet fuel. Again, maybe that's the standard. Clearly it was not my jam, I tasted it and couldn't even drink it. Irish Benedict I Cynivised and switched the English Muffin to their homemade biscuits. Good hollandaise sauce with a lemon presence that was balanced. Perfectly poached eggs. I liked that the hash was real and not the canned stuff. The potatoes in the hash were a bit underdone. The biscuit was a little stale in the middle. The side of potatoes that it comes with were a great golden brown, and still under cooked, with several hard pieces of potato. Chocolate Chip Pancake Golden brown pancake. I Cynivised by adding chocolate chips. The chips were perfectly melted. I loved that in Vermont you get maple syrup! I'd expect nothing less. The pancake itself was very chewy, indicating that the batter was over mixed. The food at this diner was edible, at best. Nevertheless you go for historical reasons, one of the first diners in the State with only 4 owners in over 100 years and still operating today is very impressive.

I stopped by for brunch on a random Tuesday. The diner is in a great location right off Church Street. Upon arriving, I was quickly seated and the place wasn't too busy. My server was quick, attentive, and friendly. I wasn't too sure what to order but I went with the biscuits and sausage gravy since I wanted savoury - they came with home fries. The food was just okay. I had orange juice too. I'm not sure if I didn't order what they're known for but I found the food to be not so special.

Perfect diner in Burlington! We came in on a Friday morning and the service was excellent. It's a small old train car and they really utilize the space perfectly. I ordered the little Henry with scrambled eggs, home fries, sausage, biscuit and a pancake. It was soooo much food. The highlight was definitely the homemade biscuit. The pancake and sausage and home fries were also great. The scrambled eggs were typical diner eggs so I filled up on the rest of the food first. I will definitely stop back next time we are in Burlington.

One came. Fast forward 20 minutes; the remaining two came out. The appetizer dishes were never cleared. They hung around until we decided not to have desert! The appetizers were underwhelming; how can you screw up a Caesar salad? The main courses disappointed in many ways. The dishes were serverd luke warm. Mussels were dehydrated on top of the heap and obvioulsy sat under a heat map. The steaks were cooked well but accompaniments were cold, cool, or barely warm; take your pick none were appetizing. Deep City was a recommendation for brunch from a local. It is the sister restaurant to Foam Brewers (right next door). When we walked in there was a small wait but not bad. We headed over to the brewery to grab coffee and to check it out. It is definitely a cool spot. They have a huge selection of beer, a small wine program (who knew) and small bites. Unfortunately they did not have TVs or else we would've come back to watch the football game but we did purchase some beer before heading back over for brunch at Deep City. The menu here is a little more Mexican-forward think Huevos Rancheros, but there was still plenty of items that looked appealing. We split the banana bread with maple walnut cream cheese (to die for) to share as an app which was fresh and delicious. I also ordered a fruit cup which was also good. We then shared their Huevos Verdes which is similar to Huevos Rancheros except it came with a tomatillo salsa. It was good but very sloppy to eat. Overall it was a great experience, and service was phenomenal. A great brunch place while visiting Burlington VT.

First of all, they have a parking lot, which is free to park in, which was super convenient. The menu is interesting and everything sounded so good, including the daily features (duck hash, yum)! It made it super difficult to decide what to order, but we eventually settled on the biscuits and herb gravy, the across the pond, a side of the cheesy kale, the polenta breakfast dish, and the trout and eggs. Our server was super patient and kind and the food was amazing. I don't usually like biscuits and gravy that much, but their vegetarian gravy was so tasty. It reminded me a bit of broccoli cheddar soup in the best way, and the biscuits were flaky. I'd had the English breakfast plate at Penny Cluse before, and this one was even better. I loved the mushrooms and the sausage. The cornmeal crusted trout on the trout and eggs plate was crispy and not fishy at all, and the best trout I've ever tried. I loved that everything we ordered was so saucy since I'm a big sauce girl. This place is high on my list to revisit when I'm back in Burlington!

Poco was absolutely as good as the ratings suggest. We had 4 items... Grilled Carrots, Elote fritters, Dan Dan Noodles and wok fried shrimp. The carrots were multi-colored, gorgeous, and surrounded by delicious flavors and accompaniments including a yogurt-based sauce and a spicy chili oil. The Elote fritters were spicy and crispy, served moments after coming out of the fryer and topped with a chipotle blueberry sauce. The Dan Dan noodles were amazing. Typically Dan Dan noodles are made with ground pork but Poco's was made with mushrooms. The noodles were tender and a little thicker than I'm used to but felt freshly made. The flavor overall was savory and umami filled with a gentler heat than other Dan Dan's I've had. This was tied for the very best Dan Dan I've ever had and I try Dan Dan anytime it's on the menu at places I eat at. The wok fried shrimp were not a favorite of any of the 3 of us that had them but they were still quite interesting with a bracingly acidic sauce and crispy rice that had a texture that left me wondering how they did it. We dined on a Tuesday in April and were in a line waiting for them to open. The entire dining room was essentially seated immediately when they opened. Despite this, dishes and drinks started arriving very soon after we ordered and the pacing was great throughout the meal. If you go on a weekend or even a busy summer weekday you should be ready for a substantial line and they don't take reservations. Desert was ice-cream made in house and both the cinnamon and strawberry ice creams were beyond decadent and rich. The serving of 2 little golf ball sized scoops might look skimpy but this is powerful rich stuff and the serving is really all you probably want of such intense high fat ice cream.

Tonight the waiter or manager Matt or "long haired dude" in other post was insanely rude to me this evening. We waited an hour to get a table, expressed discomfort with the table and wanted to move. He told us no multiple times due to a waitlist- how is that possible when the website shows "first come first serve" concept. Anyways we wanted to switch to the bar, told us the bar stools were reserved (how can you reserve a bar stool if you don't accept reservations), then noticed a three top leave as I asked asked to move there as well, he rudely said he had another three top going there and there is no where he could put us, then finally more guest left and I was able to get us a seat at the bar. I was excited to finally change seats and he rudely put his arm out and said "we have to clean it first!!" There are ways you can go about things but he was insanely rude and unprofessional. Then I saw other guest who sat at that uncomfortable table also want to move (that's how shit of a table it was) and then to top it all off this person sat other two tops at three top tables that we were denied because we were a two top. For $70 for a cheeseburger, potato's, and soda I expect kind service. If I can stretch my arms out and touch the backs of guest at the bar and guest to my other side....
