Excited to try

What a fabulous spot for a great breakfast in the heart of Burlington Vermont. It has all the finer vibes but it's also chic with a definite retro vibe. We lived it. Service was efficient & prompt. Our server Piper was just fantastic. What a wonderful experience she gave us with her review of the menu and also catering to our needs. We had a "Build your Own Breakfast Sandwich" along with a Veggie Eggs Benedict... both were just fantastic. Do not miss this fabulous spot.

After having a daughter at UVM, we finally made it to Henry's diner. Loved reading about the history of it and how the original building was brought from Bayonne NJ to Burlington. I am originally from NJ, the land of diners, so I couldn't wait to try this one. The interior had a vibe of diners gone by and I loved it. Our server was sweet and attentive. Food was good and came out nice and hot. My husband had an egg/breakfast dish and I had a good ole burger. Yum!

Just a great diner experience. Friendly staff, tasty food, and great variety. The hot apple cider was some of the best I've had and really gave me a great diner option as I am not much of a coffee drinker. Perfect way to fuel a full day in Vermont or recover from a full night!

While plentiful in quantity and reasonably priced for the quantity it was just "ok" with respect to taste. Service was ok too. Nothing to run to and if you can consider other options unless constrained by price. The interior is clean and vintage 50s dinner.

There was a waiting line for this small place, but at 10 am, it moved right along. Very friendly staff and fast refills on the coffee. I ordered the meat lover's skillet, and I joked it should be called a potato lover's skillet. Will try the regular meat on the side next time as those portions seemed very generous.

After a long travel trip (delayed flights were insane), we woke up with an appetite! This diner was a wonderful surprise - cozy and welcoming - you feel as if you walked into a family member's home. Our meals were scrumptious... included fresh brewed coffee! Shoutout to Kaitlyn, who took care of us! She is friendly, attentive, and polite!

Egg over hard, home fries, biscuit & sausage patties

I came here after little sightseeing & such & opted for a brunch (you might say) & opted for an egg over hard, home fries, biscuit & sausage patties & definitely worth it (oh before I forget coffee as well). Music in place was unique with do-op, British Invasion, disco etc but it all worked out well in my book & service was on point & definitely I see why the people (whether locals/tourists) get referred here.

Classic diner fare and atmosphere. Expect a long wait on the weekends (sometimes over an hour during peak times), and even a short ~5-10 min wait during weekdays. Got the 2 egg classic + bacon, and the Vermonter omelet. Kept us full during our 20 mile bike ride shortly after. Friendly service, tasty food, and great prices, especially for Burlington.

What a lovely diner! Unique building with a friendly waitstaff and delicious food. We stopped by for a quick breakfast. We loved the retro style and the food was fast and good! I even bought a foam dome souvenir hat

Stopped here on our drive home from Montreal and it was perfect. We immediately got seated and was warmly greeted by our waiter. I checked the Yelp reviews and my sister and I both decided to order the little Henry. Perfection. I got my eggs over medium, ham, home fries, a pancake, and an English muffin. The English muffin was one of the best I've ever had. Perfectly toasted, not too bready, and had butter melted on top. I'm still thinking about the ham too. Everything was too good!! I wish I lived closer.

We had a nice time at Henry's Diner. Love me a good diner vibe and this place fits the bill to a T. Has the counter and booths and some tables around the side as well. It was pretty busy on a Sunday morning but we beat the rush it seemed at around 8:45 am. I had the little Henry, over medium eggs, bacon, a biscuit, pancake, and added a side of the sausage gravy. The bacon was small and just okay. Should've went with ham. I was pleased that my eggs came out as ordered and the sausage gravy was homemade and was great! How all diners should be judged and they passed with flying colors. My pancake was also good. That Vermont syrup ain't no joke either. My wife got a special, basically an omelette with biscuits and gravy inside. She enjoyed it and also got a pancake on the side. Her pancake was undercooked for her but said the flavor was still good. Service was slow but pretty friendly. Everything came out as ordered and we left full and happy. Definitely worth checking out. I enjoyed the history of the diner as well.

Great menu.

Cute vintage diner feel. Keeps its charm from the original 1925 decor. All your favorite breakfast items, huge selection, everything really well prepared, and an array of milkshakes that make deciding on which one to have impossible. Food and entertainment all in one venue.

This is a landmark and iconic eatery in Burlington. We make it a point to have an amazing breakfast each time we visit the area to spend time with our daughter. It speaks for itself l. Just go and wait in line if you have to, it's very much worth it. Otherwise, best time is weekday mornings.

Our server was really kind and helpful, giving some great recommendations for drinks. We ordered the cheese plate and I got a local cider, and Nate got "Vermont's most popular beer" according to our server. The cheese plate was a generous portion of three different cheeses, along with plenty of bread, some fruit preserves, and some honey on the plate. I would have preferred the honey in its own container vs. just on the plate, but it was easy enough to avoid. The cheeses were all delicious, and the bread was perfectly toasted. I really enjoyed my cider, which was a bit sweet. The menu sounds really great here, and I'm sure we'll be back the next time we're in town.

Must try: Hangar Steak, Halibut, House Rolls, and Apple Pie Dessert!…read more Why: This was our fav meal in Burlington. So many great flavors and delicious dishes. We started with House Rolls and the fluffy whipped butter was excellent. We loved the Steak and Fish, both cooked to perfection. My Hangar Steak was cooked medium rare and it was juicy tender packed with flavor. Even the Green Beans were amazing with a perfect fresh crunch. We were full but there was one dessert that sounded unique and delicious - some sort of Apple Pie made with Goat Cheese. All the flavors and textures worked well and just tasted like a crisp Autumn evening! Notes: It was busy for dinner but they had bar seating available. Service was top-notch: everyone was welcoming, friendly, helpful, and attentive. Our waitress provided fantastic recommendations and answered all our questions. The restaurant was dim and beautifully set up with nice decor. I even enjoyed walking to the bathroom and seeing the kitchen up close and their fridge with meat and mushrooms. I appreciated they had four clean bathrooms so you never have to wait. Overall, amazing dining experience for our last meal in VT!

No complaints tho, the vibes were really nice and romantic. I loved the oysters, they were fresh! I also got a cocktail and it was okay, not my favorite. We also got a pasta dish (u can kinda see it in the picture) It was great but for the price, I was kinda imagining a bigger portion. It was yummy but it's not that worth it in my opinion. Nevertheless it was yummy overall. I would come back here for a special occasion!

The last time my bf and I went we ordered a special which was Dan Dan noodles with pork, the cheeseburger, and burrata with bruschetta to start. All of the food was full of flavor and fair portion size. Restaurant poco does not take reservations in advance. It's easier to get a seat in spring summer or fall when they open up their outdoor seating and so can host more guests. You have to go to put your name on the wait list regardless of the season and even in summertime with more seating it can be a 20-40min wait. They play good funky music which can sometimes be overwhelmingly loud inside (I.e. a jock jam will be playing at club volume level), that's one of my few complaints. You can be at a two person table and only a few feet away from your dinner date but not always hear them. This happens mostly just during the winter. Outdoor seating is nice with outdoor lights and easy to see and hear whomever you're dining with. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone as they always have great tasting food and good drinks. A little on the pricier side, but worth it.
