Most important, my food was delicious. I had the pesto salmon. Arrived around 7:15 on a Friday and several open tables inside but looked filled up on the outside. I sat at the bar since I was alone. Seemed the dinner rush was slowing down. No desert (only one option). Service was good and friendly. I plan to return.

Street corn fritters and the juniper martini are awesome. Service was great. I'll come back for one of the bigger plates.

Wine is mostly Italian and French. Low end of the spectrum but interesting choices. The most expensive half bottle was the Chateau Y'Quem for $500. There was another Sauternes on the menu for much less. I was greeted , seated and served quickly and with a smile. All the plates were nice charcuterie type foods. The dessert was delicious. I ordered 5 plates and 2 glasses of wines and a %20 tip for $140. Please try them. Bon appetit

When you walk in, you're greeted by a friendly hostess and the vibe is awesome for a date night or evening with friends Wine selections- love them. It's enough that you have choices without being overwhelmed. I opted for the Sangiovese and I'm currently trying to figure out who sells it where I live since we're just visiting Burlington! They also have a cava from a vineyard that I walked by in Spain a few summers ago so they're selling the good stuff. We ordered the bread and butter which I originally felt was elevated pricing but we felt the butter made it worth it. Meatballs were good but not my favorite of all time. Loved the pasta dish. It's truly homemade and as a pasta maker myself, you can tell that a lot of effort goes into it. Service was wonderful with attentive people who are happy to share their favorites with you. We would definitely come back for either dinner or some small bites and wine!

You can choose from bar seating, indoor tables, or outdoor spots with a perfect breeze. There's even a big street-side table that's ideal for bachelorette groups or larger parties. The whole space feels elevated, cozy, and a little magical. Drinks: The cocktail menu is insanely creative and the pours are generous. Their espresso martini is one of my all-time favorites... I stop in for one every single time I'm in Lake Placid. It's that good. Food: I think about this food at least once a week. The menu is built around shareable small plates, making it the perfect pre-dinner cocktail hour spot for your travel crew. Order a couple of drinks and a few bites while you take in the lake views before your dinner reservation. My personal must-orders: the charcuterie board and the mac and cheese. Unreal. Price: It's on the pricier side, but genuinely worth every penny. For the quality, the atmosphere, and those views? Not overpriced at all.

A Masterclass in Deception. Do Not Be Fooled by the 4.5 Stars…read more My wife and I came here expecting a special dinner based on glowing reviews. What we got was a textbook tourist trap with a view. Yes, the setting is gorgeous. Vermont mountains in the distance, open-air ambiance, cozy lighting. But once the food hits the table, the charm dies fast. I ordered the grilled chicken. What arrived was three thin slices of poultry on a puddle of sauce, garnished with a few microgreens. It looked more like a sample than a $44 entrée. My wife's "Gnudi" was overpowered by a bitter green sauce, rubbery in texture, and she couldn't finish it. I ended up eating both meals just to feel like I had dinner, but left still hungry. We ended up grabbing pizza afterward because we felt completely ripped off. The bill? $80 before tip. For what amounts to two appetizers. No drinks, no dessert, no extras. To add insult to injury: they charge you $25 per person if you cancel a reservation. That should have been our first red flag. This restaurant survives off its view and inflated reputation. The food is nowhere near the quality or portion size you'd expect at this price point. The 4.5-star rating is wildly misleading and risks conning more travelers like us. We left upset, unsatisfied, and shocked that this place gets away with calling itself fine dining. Save your money and your evening. Go somewhere that cares more about the plate than the patio.

Our waitress asked if we wanted everything served at once or in 2 servings. Given we had ordered 6-7 tapas platters and the small table space, we figured 2 servings was a better idea. The first serving compromised of garlic butter sautéed mushrooms (7/10), maple syrup doused grilled eggplant with goat cheese (8/10) and a Spanish charcuterie & cheese plate with olives (6/10). The food was in all great, we finished the first serving pretty fast. We figured the second serving would come more quickly but it never did! By then we were already full and tired. It could've been that the kitchen had already prepared the food and the waitress had too many customers to serve. I called her over and told her I would only pay for the dishes we ate because the food was taking too long to come out. She got defensive and said the food was on its way and ready. I insisted no. After which, I asked if we could pay right away as we had to head out . Another 15-20 min wait as she served others . My impression would be if I had 2 customers that were upset and ready to leave, I would tell the other table " I'll be right back shortly , I just have to close this table off". She had no sense of time! It's too bad that the service can't match their quality of food and atmosphere. Hire more staff because clearly there is a demand for food but a lack of service will bring the hype down.
